Like a bank, they offer a full range of products and services and your deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 or more. But unlike a bank, they’re not... show more

Customer of Citadel Credit Union for personal and business since 1996. They shut down bill pay for over 10 days while “improving” the system. Additionally they cannot find my business account plus they lost all my bill pay contacts and information. We filled out all necessary documents prior to this debacle. Now I have no idea if bills have been paid. I have spent hours trying to resolve this with staff and no resolution. Anybody else feeling this pain? Any recommendations?

I was a Citadel customer for over 10 years with almost no problems. Fortunately I worked near a branch and if I did have a problem they were helpful and issues resolved quickly.
Now, however, I recently returned to Citadel and first thing I am hit with was no bill pay for over a week. Of course I had a problem and customer service could not resolve because Bill Pay is down and they can't see my account either. So ended up w a late fee on my electric bill so called Peco the next business day and began dealing with them. Seems the technology department hasn't been the same since last rollout with the new logo and site design. Frustrated and no longer working near a branch so issue not resolved and just have to wait out for now
Great company they make life easier with services also online banking been great help to pay my bills on time . Card control app is the best way to give signal as soon u use the card
Great place to do business with.!!! My wife and I have been life long customers of Citadel and would highly recommend them to all fokes looking to open accounts with.

I’m disgusted with this place. Started off fine, but quickly learned there was a savings account with $5 in it linked to my auto loan. If I’m late on my loan payment, it overdraws the savings account and remains overdrawn even after a payment is made. I never signed up for this and if I did, it was in the fine print. They also defaulted to paper statements on this “savings account”, which is another $2/month. Again, never signed up for this. These type of practices are dishonest, deceitful, and border on fraud. I would’ve never went through with this loan if I knew it was going to be like this. It’s disgusting. It’s unreal. Stay away from here.
I’ve been a Citadel member since they opened a branch in Lansdale, PA and have received good personal customer service from the employees who work there, have never experienced any reason not to trust what they have offered me in writing for any financial contracts whether loans, bank accounts or savings and was considerately referred to another local loan provider when my credit rating wasn’t ideal to qualify for their loans.
For regular banking needs, Citadel provides between 3 to 4 star service. For Pre-approval auto loan & auto loan approval, they deserve a ZERO. First, got Pre-approval auto loan. First, its expired in LESS THAN 15 calendar days. It's for a new model & interest rates change the older the model. The details of that change wasn't explained properly. When discussing my interest rate, received a misquote of more than 2% what provided once officially approved. Once approved & all documentation faxed from the dealer, it took multiple calls from me to get an appointment to get the check. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WILL NOT USE AGAIN. I was better off with Capital One.
I will never be a voluntary Citadel customer. I purchased a vehicle and unfortunately Citadel was my lender. I put 24,000 down and financed the remaining 18000. I never heard of Citadel and although my payments were 300 a month I paid 3000 in the first two months. Citadel never emailed or called me but placed an additional 4 400dollars on my loan because they said I didn't provide proof of Insurance. NO text, no call, no email and no certified mail. I of course have Insurance and transferred the new car over the day of purchase but what a devious and unethical way to do business. Stay clear of this Credit Union they will never get my business ever again....disgraceful!!!
Plain and simple, citadel sucks. I paid off my auto loan 3 months ago and citadel can't find my title. I'm 73 years old, have had many auto loans with 0 problems until citadel came along. I've NEVER heard of a lender, lending money without some sort of collateral, that's what citadel did, so they told me. Excuses I was given by citadel, we don't have your title, DMV has your title, anyone with a little common sense knows DMV puts a lien on the title and sends it to the lien holder. Then I was told that DMV was at fault and sent the title to Citizens Bank, ?, absolutely unbelievable. Plus there's more crap I got from citadel, I wasn't a customer, I was a victim total lies from citadel. To make a long story short, I called DMV and requested a duplicate title and supplied them with my payoff statement from citadel, PLUS IT COST ME $50.00 OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. A word to the wise, DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH CITADEL FOR A AUTO LOAN, MY FIRST AND MOST CERTAINLY MY LAST INVOLVEMENT WITH CITADEL!
Unfortunately, the Citadel Rewards Mastercard® doesn't have any balance transfer intro APR offers at the moment. So, the card's regular APR will apply to any balance transfers you do, which is 9.99% - 17.99%, depending on your credit standing.
While the Citadel Rewards Mastercard® doesn't offer an intro APR for balance transfers, it does come with a 0% balance transfer fee.
