I have been a member since 1983 when it was the "Colorado State Employee's Credit Union". Was great back then, but is one of the worst run organizations in the state. Customer service does not exist. Have been dealing with an issue with the BLOATED phone app. They force you to install the "latest" version which is so poorly designed that it takes a major amount of memory. Now it will not fit on my phone unless I delete other apps that I really need. Have been calling, emailing and chatting and NO ONE will call me back to address this issue. This credit union is WORTHLESS...!!!

After our family has been with Credit Union of Colorado for over 21 years, they have gone out of their way to become the worst financial institution on planet Earth. Even though our family has struggled, we have made every effort to set things right, yet this institution has made a concerted effort to undermine us. They have no understanding of the word integrity. Their staff and management disagree with their own policies and procedures. They are dishonest, mistreat, harass, and damage your credit score in any way they can. Whatever you do, don't do business with them. Withdraw your money and leave. Their TV ads and marketing are outright lies.

I've been with this credit union for several years and hadn't encountered any problems until the last few months after they moved. I received a fraud notice, so I had to go in and get a new debit card. When I tried to use the debit card, I ended up with an NSF because the teller linked the card to a closed account instead of my checking account, which is where it should have been linked. This closed account was from when I had paid off my student loans. I received a fraud alert for a different debit card as well, so I had to go in and have it replaced. However, when I tried to pay bills, I kept getting an error message stating that the card didn't match the address I was entering. So, I had to go back to the bank again. After a little investigation, it was revealed that the teller had brought up an address where I hadn't lived for three years and no longer owned. I left a message with the district manager, and the assistant district manager, Dell, called me back and laughed at the situation. It's time to find a new financial institution.

This company is a scam; they added $2,500 to my loan, and no one could figure out what happened. Do not bank with this company. Times are too hard for setbacks, and they are going to scam you 100%.

Rawi and Jacque were good at getting my savings bonds cashed. In my day, they were the only way to save patriotically - now there are so many other ways it's confusing. Rawi had knowledge about them and did a great job of showing the process to Jacque in a helpful and positive way. Those kinds of managers are rare - often I see managers take over the transaction - the employee feels unempowered, or they treat the employee in a demeaning way - like "you should have known this." Rawi was kind and helpful in demonstrating how the job was to be done while allowing Jacque to make it happen. This kind of coaching is rare in many organizations. Rawi is the best I have seen, and I have coached over 100 managers! Thank you for her service! Bill

The Colorado Springs office rocks. They know your name after only a few visits, and Peyton, who works there, is competent, kind, and patient—when does that ever happen in today's world? I appreciate her and the whole team and always look forward to going in instead of going through the drive-thru.

Please, please, PLEASE read this if you are considering Credit Union of Colorado for your banking needs. I have been a member for 48 years—48 years! I have never been treated as badly as I have been recently, and today I decided to move on. This institution has deteriorated significantly in the last few years. I tried to transfer some funds to a friend in need and was suspected of fraud. The fraud investigator froze my account without notifying me and caused me to be overdrawn by $5,000.00! All of my accounts and cards were frozen without notice—not even a phone call. I could not buy gas.
When I finally was able to speak with someone after an hour on hold, I was blatantly lied to and accused of being a liar and a fool with "unacceptable" business practices. I was told, "You will never see that money again!" I spoke with this man's supervisor, who promised to call me back, but that never happened. When they finally realized their mistake, they didn't say a word to me, much less offer an apology. My account was unfrozen, and I would never have even known that except that I called the general call center for an update. They had no intention of calling me back. This credit union used to be personable and professional. It is now an arrogant, overgrown, impersonal, and unprofessional institution. I will never again trust them with my money. Beware!

Purchased a car for my daughter from a dealer in Kansas. After registering the car the credit union was unable to verify vehicle was registered. Trying to return their calls was nearly impossible. Hold time was over 1 hour so I requested a call back. They never did. Finally I sat on hold for another hour to speak to someone. They wanted a copy of the registration. I have now sent three copies of the registration and when I speak to them they say they have never received them. Then they said if they didn't get the registration if could adversely affect my loan. Finally checked with tag office and found that they had incorrectly entered the VIN. Have it all corrected know but cant notify them as no one answers the phone!!! Horrible customer service.

This company inaccurately reported a missed payment to the credit companies due to a technical error on their side. They are refusing to correct the negative credit report although I have provided them with documentation showing that the payment was set up. Their website has many issues with their online banking and payment processing. If you want to talk to someone you will have to wait on hold for 15-45 minutes each time you call in. Do NOT do business with this company.

Horrible website and mobile app. Just making a payment is a major hassle and that's assuming the site/app are even working at all which is hit or miss. I won't ever do business with them again.

Good financial institution, great service. But their transfer functionality is pretty atrocious. Many businesses and other financial institutions use the third party Plaid to do ACH transfers these days, and Plaid hasn't been working with CUofCO for at least several weeks with no end in sight, so you can't do ACH transfers. You can't do wire transfers from their website either; you have to call in and do those over the phone. And third, I just tried to do an ACH transfer to my other bank on the CUofCO website, and that is having unidentified technical errors as well. So in summary, they're great, until you want to get your money in or out of the CU, then pretty much paid wire transfers conducted over the phone are your only option.

This is about the CUofC branch in 6/7/2019 at 7541 East Iliff Avenue, Denver CO 80231 303-832-4816. I have banked for many years at the Mines CU which joined the Colo State Employees CU which became Credit Union of Colorado. I was working with a young banker lady for a loan on one of my cars. I am a very personal person. The banker was telling me about her boyfriend and her were going to a festival. I told her that I think that is a great idea for her to go with her boyfriend. In the middle of the transaction, the branch manager she was new and had taken over the branch from Stephanie who managed it before then and was a great person, came to me and suggested that she would finish the transaction. I went to her office with her and she was typing something on her computer. Turns out that she was typing out a complaint form about me for sexual suggestive talk. I never said anything about sexual content or nature by the way. Then I was banned from the CU and it took about a year to get my IRA out of the Credit Union and close the account. Their behavior was ridiculous. The Main manager who I knew before and we were great friends turned on me. I had many car loans that I had paid off on time and had some friends there. There was a teller there that I knew who was one of the best people that I have known who was fired or left a couple of months before this happened in the year 2019.
