They allowed my bank account to overdraft to large amounts and then took my daughter's social security check to cover the overdrafts.

Horrible HORRIBLE customer service. I lost my debit card then a couple days later found it and when I called to have it turned back on they asked if I had used the card the previous day and when I said “no it was turned off” they said “well if you can’t tell us if you used it we can’t turn it back on and need to send you a new one.” Which would be fine but it takes upward of a month to get the new card. A few weeks ago they had a “data breach” and my card info was compromised so I just had to go through this process of not having a debit card. When I brought that up to Jamie the card services supervisor she screamed my name back and me and yelled at me that they have not had any security breaches. I apologized and said that was what I was told by them and she hung up on me.

The absolute worst bank to deal with in terms of fraud. They don't completely do their job, are undermining and belittling. I lost my debit card and they have taken away online access for 6 months and refuse to replace my debit card. I've been with them 10 years and an closing my account due to their poor customer service.

Verified CustomerI got a car loan from EFCU. I have no complaints with the actual car loan. However the warranty that they sold me is a scam. I paid over $4K for the warranty. When I had trouble with my car the warranty company (IWS) would not honor it. Repairs cost more than the warranty. I did cancel the warranty they kept $1K of it. So after paying for the loan for 8 months I still owe more than what the loan cost without the warranty. Further research shows that IWS is not a reputable company. I have other extended warranties with Harley Davidson and Chrysler and all have been great and are much cheaper with a longer time frame and less deductible. Bottom line don't.....DO NOT GET AN IWS WARRANTY. IT IS A SCAM!!!!

My banking experience with Eglin Federal Credit Union for the most part was great! Signing up with them was very easy, as long as you are a current military member, or retired, or affiliated with the military you can go right in and get yourself and account. However if you are none of those, but have a family member who is you can go in and sign up under them (bring them in of course). The process only took a matter of twenty minutes and they were extremely friendly. There was no wait for my debit card, they printed it out on the spot. Transferring money, direct deposit, atm, all of that is very easy and customer friendly. However I did have one negative experience. I noticed a large amount missing from my account which put me in the hole. I informed them of this, they requested I call them up to report the fraud. When I did they told me I needed to call a different number. I kept getting the run around, which made for a bad experience. But the rest of the experience was great!

EFCU was a pretty good experience. I recently took out a 10k used car loan and opened a savings account. While the savings account was pretty cut and dry, the car loan took a couple of weeks just to get approval on it. There were multiple calls back and forth. I understand why it took the time it did, as I had very little credit history (being a college student). They made me a bit nervous that I wouldn’t be approved in the end. After 2 weeks, I received a call telling me that I was approved for my loan and at a great rate. They have been okay when it comes to responding to inquiries since then. My original loan consultant became non-responsive, but when I received a new one, she was much more responsive to any questions I had. All in all, it was a decent experience and the rates are great.

First, I want to say Eglin Federal Credit Union is amazing. I will start by saying I currently live in Georgia do to a military move. I tried to apply for a car loan online but it kept failing and causing problems(it was a problem with my information). I was extremely worried since I lived in Georgia now and Eglin Federal Credit Union is in Florida I wasn't going to be able to get this done and/or in a timely matter. I gave Eglin a call, and they resolved my issue same day. They worked with me and got all the information handled over the phone. I purchased my car today. It was stress free and honestly the best customer service I have ever had. If you want a friendly, fast and take ownership banker this is the company to use.

We just finished paying off our second car loan through EFCU. The application process was really quick and painless. We were always treated with respect when dealing with the employees there. When we filled out the paperwork for our first loan, our loan officer was calm and patient. We didn't feel rushed at all, even though we knew it was a busy day at the credit union. She was professional and thorough. Our loans both went through without a problem. When we finally finished paying them off, our titles came in the mail very quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family.

Eglin Federal Credit Union was the only bank that allowed me to open an account for my teenage brother who had just began working. The staff was friendly, attentive and handled very knowledgably all of my banking needs. Unlike the big box major banks, Eglin Federal Credit Union treated me like a person and I wasn’t charged an insane amount of fees for ATM usage or transferring funds. Since my brother was new to banking and just learning how to manage his money, he incurred a few overdraft fees, but unlike other banks he was given a grace period into which he could make the account positive without an extra penalty. I would recommend this bank to anyone.

Eglin Federal Credit Union provides great service and fair interest rates. I have never had any problems with my checking account, and the statements they send me are comprehensive and easy to understand. The main branch can be VERY busy on Fridays, so make sure to have enough time to get your business taken care of. Another good point is that there are plenty of ATMs located all over the area. Eglin Federal's ATMs even have 10 dollar bills, which can be very handy, and you're not taking out more than you need. I have been extremely happy overall with the bank. You must be either military or a dependent in order to get an account with Eglin Federal.
