I experienced a severe technical failure on the Fidelity platform this morning that lasted for approximately one hour. Although the system confirmed my buy orders were successfully filled, the purchased shares failed to appear in my account positions. As a day trader, timing is everything. Because the shares were invisible in my account for over an hour, I was physically unable to sell them during my target price window. By the time the positions finally showed up, the stock price had plummeted, resulting in a significant financial loss. What is more frustrating is the lack of accountability from customer service. While they acknowledged the platform-wide issue, there was zero effort to offer a remedy or even show genuine concern for the financial damages caused by their infrastructure. For a major brokerage, this level of unreliability and poor support is completely unacceptable.

Fidelity Bank on Church Street in Burlington is full of a bunch of arrogant, snotty individuals who think they are better than their customers. They're rude and inconsistent with their policies. I banked there for more than 8 years. During that time, I never once over drafted my account or wrote a bad check. However, this new group thinks they can treat me poorly because I don't have $100,000 in my account. I've sent many people to that place to open accounts, but never again will I have a positive word about it. In fact, I'm going to tell everyone not to do business there. I used to love and value that place, but I wouldn't wiz on it now if it was on fire

DO NOT USE!!!! They promised us a mortgage loan and had all of our information for over 6 WEEKS. Then 2 days before the closing, they called and stated that we needed to put down 20% instead of the 5% originally stated. Something about our tax returns didn't jive with the underwriters, even though they had them for almost 2 months and never mentioned a thing. THEN, made it sound like we were holding up the loan because we didn't have the 20% down payment.

Don't use this bank, go somewhere else. They are not honest and hold valid checks to long. Even Walmart processes checks electronically. There's no reason for them to hold a valid check for 10 working days in this day and time it's 2024 not 1950. I had to chose 1 star but its should be 0

I bank at the Battleground branch and Liberty Branch. Both branches are great to work with. I had a banking issue today and Teresa at the Battleground was so wonderful to work with; she has also helped me in the past. Each time she researched and answered all my questions. Great bank and great people.

In March of 2023, my grandfather wrote me a check for $10,000 to help me save a little quicker for a down payment on a house. I opened a Fidelity account with the intention of having all my savings in their money market savings. I deposited the check (written on a Chase Bank check) to Fidelity, and my grandpa okays the check when Chase calls to confirm the check is valid. The check clears Chase and shows as deposited. Fidelity deposits the check and immediately freezes my account, flagging it for fraud. I call the fraud department and they give me two options. The first option is to send a notarized letter with a gold medallion signature from my grandpa stating the funds are good to deposit; this is not possible as a gold medallion signature is not issued for personal checks, and Chase Bank would not grant this stamp. The second option was for my grandpa to recall the check; also not possible since Fidelity already cashed it and the funds have already cleared from Chase. I've called numerous times over the last year, and then I'm told if I cannot obtain a medallion signature or a check recall that eventually the funds will be forfeited to the state. What?! I've also asked numerous times since I'm not allowed to access the funds if they can return it to the issuing party, my grandpa's Chase account, to which they responded, "The safest way to return the funds is for your grandpa to recall the check," which he can't do since it's already been cashed. I just filed a complaint with FINRA, so I'm praying they can help since Fidelity has refused to return the money back to his account or allow me to access it in my account. I cannot recommend enough to stay away from Fidelity. I'm not the only one this has happened to, and there are others who've had their accounts for years who've had their accounts frozen and locked for "fraud," and Fidelity continues to do this to others. The next step is to file a complaint with the SEC.

Don’t use Fidelity for banking. They’ll put a restriction on your account whenever they feel free. Yes, Fidelity will hold your money and not allow you to use it. Do not use them, try BOA or Wells Fargo. Basically any bank is better than Fidelity. The customer service is mediocre. Received a deposit on Friday, couldn’t access my funds until next Thursday because no one from customer service cared enough to figure it out. It took numerous calls before someone with sense noticed a random restriction was placed on my account with all my money. You have been warned!! This is not a good option for banking. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

It seems like every month my rates go up. They start you out with a nice low rate and after you start using your line of credit you'll get letters saying your rate has gone up. My new increase has me at 7.74%. I will never do business with them ever again.

Absolutely the worst bank I have ever experienced. And, I am an investor with 40 years experience. Bureaucratic, incompetent, poor knowledge of the estate process, I have been trying to get my mothers estate out of there and it feels like all the delays and repeated requests are deliberate. They asked for better copies of Letters Testamentary, which they had already accepted two weeks before. They actually told me my birthday “input” on the application form had to be redone because the numbers didn’t fit into the slots properly. But, this was a glitch in their forms. What am I? A computer processor? Treated me like a secretary. Also sent incorrect forms to me. I have finally turned it over to my lawyers. Impossible to believe any bank could be so so terrible. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

This bank actively recruited my business for a small business loan. Our loan officer gathered all of our information and knew our full history and of course was confident that a very old credit issue of my spouse would not be an issue and advised we put our parents on the loan as guarantors. The process was so slow and all the while our loan officer and another VP was confident we would be approved soon. So finally 10 weeks after we first applied, we were denied for the credit issue we handled nearly ten years earlier and we were up front about and advised it wasn’t an issue. We had plenty of investment money and parents backing our loan. It just seemed so unprofessional and damaged a rare prospect for a location for our business and set us back weeks and weeks and cost us so much. Stay clear. They do not have their act together for small business. Thankfully we now have a business loan and it was a snap.

My experience with transitioning has been great. Everyone at the bank has been extremely accommodating. They make me feel that my business matters. I like that the bank still feels like a small town bank even though we are in quite a large community.

After reading these reviews it sounds like I dodged a bullet anyway. I walked in the other day to open an account. The lady who was supposed to help me seemed to be bothered that I interrupted her gossip conversation. I asked to open an account. I explained I was new to the area. We had just moved from KY. She said since I had an out of state drivers license they could not help me. My first order of business when moving to a new area is not the Drivers License bureau! She said they had to verify my address. I offered multiple alternatives to verify my GA address including the closing documentation on the new home I had ourchased less than a week ago! However, she was more interested in getting back to her comversation. I will take my 12k/month across the street. She seemed happy about that and annoyed I continued to bother her.

I've had a few different banks over the years and this is by far the most unintelligible institution that I've worked with yet. The 1st time logging in should have been a sign. The site has two different ways to make a payment. Neither which work with each other. They both operate independently with no core functionality. The systems always slow and not even the staff can see what the system sees. That's reason enough for me to refinance somewhere else.
