What's Your Rating?
The staff I encountered were dismissive, unhelpful, and downright rude. Their attitude towards customers is unacceptable and reflects a complete lack of professionalism. I would advise anyone looking for banking services to steer clear of this establishment.
In conclusion, my experience with this bank was nothing short of a nightmare. Their lack of customer care, refusal to offer essential services like Gap insurance, and rude behavior make them a company to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from this bank.
That's the good news.
They advertised a 'no hassle no worry - quick and easy' type loan with no collateral needed. We thought it would be a good bill consolidation loan, as we bring in enough money every month to easily pay the bills.
They didn't like that we had a couple of credit cards that were empty.
They demanded we close the empty cards.
I informed them that we kept those in case of emergencies so we'd have the available funds if needed.
They didn't care.
They ran both of our credit scores so many times and in different ways that it directly impacted our credit scores - even though they said there would be no impact.
After jacking us around for over a month on this 'quick loan' - we got a ton of rejection letters - each one stating the reason, but only one reason per mailing. And one for each of us, not combined. Basically they didn't like that we refused to close our emergency empty credit cards. We both got at least 8 rejection letters each.
We were hoping to go to a local bank and distance ourselves from Bank Of America due to some of their - ahem - bad choices when it comes to privacy. First financial wouldn't make a pimple on BOA's butt. Their online banking is primitive, and they can't close a single loan without screwing it up. We then let the account sit to see what we wanted to do with it - and we just got an 'inactive' letter, demanding that we fill out a form, sign our names, and include our social security numbers to prove that we own the checking account - and MAIL it to them.
I'll be going over Monday to close this lame account, and heaven help them if they ask me why.
Will file a police report, hopefully someone is held accountable for allowing this thief to do this.
