Granite Credit Union

We recently got a Granite Credit Union credit card for a trip we were going on. We went on the trip, and when we got the bill, we paid it off. About two months later, we got a bill for $1.31. I called to see why because we hadn't used the card since we got home. I was told that we owed that amount from before. I had the bill in my hand, and it said that we owed a certain amount and paid that amount. I asked how we could owe if we paid what it said we owed. The person I was talking to said he didn't know why we weren't charged the $1.31. So why should we have to pay it if we didn't get a bill for it and paid the full amount that was on the bill? I think this is very poor service and would not recommend this service to anyone.

I had the privilege of working with Kaylee, who helped me with a personal loan. She was very professional, soft-spoken, and kind as she walked me through the interest rates, payments, signing of papers, etc. She answered all my questions and made the loan process very comfortable, quick, and easy. What a great employee you have!

Needs Major Improvement!

I wish there was a way to leave a review that genuinely reflects my unfortunate experience with this credit union, but it appears one star is the minimum. My interaction with this institution left much to be desired, especially in terms of customer service.

Upon walking into the branch, I was met with an unwelcoming and somewhat cold atmosphere. The representatives seemed preoccupied, and the overall energy of the place was far from warm or inviting. This set the stage for what proved to be an incredibly disappointing experience.

When it came to addressing my concerns, the representatives I dealt with were curt and impatient, making me feel as if my queries were an unwelcome interruption to their day. There seemed to be a significant lack of interest in providing satisfactory solutions or clear answers to my questions.

Moreover, the rudeness was not confined to one individual or one incident. Throughout my interactions, multiple representatives exhibited an unfortunate disregard for customer service etiquette. This is not something I would expect from an institution that is meant to serve its community and foster positive relationships with its members.

From a technical standpoint, I also faced issues. The process of obtaining necessary information and setting up my account was cumbersome and fraught with delays. There was a complete lack of timely communication, leaving me confused and frustrated.

In the current age where customer-centric businesses are thriving, this credit union's customer service is a stark anomaly. It's disheartening because credit unions are typically known for their community-centric approach and personalized service.

I genuinely hope that this review is taken as constructive feedback, leading to improvements in the future. However, based on my experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this credit union to anyone seeking a friendly, efficient, and customer-focused banking experience.

I've banked with granite for over 15 years. They've always done great business. I opened a car loan with them 3 years ago and it's very convenient

One time they wouldn't give me a Card to. my Own Accound they said the had to mail it out when I was Standding in the Credit Union!. I am Afro-American.. I called the Vice President Mary W.

I have been a member for granite credit union since I first opened my bank when I was 12 with the kids saving account. I'm now 25 and their service has gotten worse and worse over the years. This is the second time within a few months that my card has been frauded. The first time the transaction didn't go through and they were able to send me a new card. This time three different transactions went through and they treated me like I'm the one who did something wrong. I first had to ask multiple times for my card to be frozen- they didn't do it initially then they told me the only way to dispute it is to call the companies and have them refund me. Obviously the companies aren't going to refund me. They have no proof and aren't just going to give out refunds. They were rude and short on the phone and I didn't feel like I was valued. I felt like I was being treated like the criminal when I was the victim. Get better customer service Granite. It's time for me to get a new bank.

Granite Credit Union is the best credit union I've ever done business with other than OSU Federal. I was only able to use Granite for about 6 months before I had to close my account, though because of a location issue. I moved to a different state and there wasn't a branch near where I lived. If there was, I'd be using it as my primary bank. They're fantastic. If you're looking for a credit union that's at the very top, you should join Granite Credit Union. Again, if I lived near one of their branches, I'd probably be using them as my primary bank.

I originally joined Granite Credit Union because they were in a convenient location inside my local Harmon's in South Jordan, but I have grown to really appreciate the service that they offer me. Once the company that services my auto loan tried to take 2 payments out of my checking account, because I screwed up on the online bill pay of their website. When I called them, they refused to help me. However, I went down to the branch in the Millcreek area and was able to talk to the manager there with no problem; all I had to do was ask, and I didn't even need to wait long. When she heard my story, she was glad to help by simply doing a type of ACH payment stop to reverse one of the charges. They didn't even charge me a fee! I was so grateful that they won me as a customer for life.
