Lack of Customer Service.....requested a new debit card after fraud on my account. Followed up three days later to find out my card was not canceled, a new card was not requested. I then followed up with an email and have no response almost another week later. Still no debit card. Almost 20 years here and considering a change.

I’ve been a member here for probably 6 or so years now and I love it. I have cancelled my accounts at big banks and transferred everything here because they are much better to work with than a big bank. I have my car loan, savings and checking through Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union and have never had a problem with anything. They are always super friendly when I go in and know me by name. The staff is more than willing to help or answer any questions I have. I have direct deposit from work and my loan payment is automatic so I never have to worry about being late or missing a payment which is nice.

My wife used Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union for a couple of years before I joined her account. When we opened up our business account she felt very strongly that we should open that through GCFCU as well. So we did. I had lots of trouble with banks in the past and was at on a bank blacklist at one point in time. I have since gotten everything paid off and cleared up, but some banks still insist that they can not give me a debit card under any circumstances. I was worried about that part of the process.

We set up our business account and as I feared, I was denied my debit card and told that if I wanted to, I could try to apply again in six months. That worried us to no end. So when she suggested I add myself to her personal bank account so that we could close the account I had by myself I was skeptical. But we did it any way and I got my debit card! I was so excited. I could finally get out from under the bank that was taking advantage of me because they thought they were the only ones that would approve a debit card for me.

Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union has been my credit union for a few years now. I originally opened my accounts there because they had a branch in the building where I worked so I could pick up my paycheck, take a dozen steps, and cash it there. I kept banking with them because they were so friendly and helpful. When my husband and I opened our business account we went there first to see how they could help us out. Both our personal account and our business accounts are completely free. I've only had one issue with them in all the time I've used GCFCU and that was when I ordered my checks. They came with the wrong address on them, but GCFCU ordered me new ones right away and they came back perfect. When my husband's bank was sold and we didn't like the new company that took over we got him added to my account at GCFCU and he was able to close his other bank accounts. I'm so happy with the level of service I always receive when I go in to my favorite branch. I recommend them all the time.
