I had an absolutely wonderful experience setting up a checking account here in Hazlehurst at the interstate credit union. It was because of Ms. Gonzalez. She was so helpful, so nice, and she just made the experience great. I would recommend anybody to go talk to her if you can. It was a delight Thanks again Ms. Gonzalez.

The bank branch I use most often is located in Baxley, Ga. Setting up an account takes about 10 minutes. It is very simple and you don't need a large sum of money to open an account, 5 dollars will get you an account. They include online banking at no extra cost. The first set of checks are free. I chose "No strings attached" there is no service fee, fee on using your card, or fee for writing a check, in fact the only fee you will ever have is a 30$ overdraft fee if you overdraft your account, and you can even opt out of that. However, there is no interest to be gained. If you wish you could opt in to another type of account that does draw interest. They have several options for students, military personnel, and the elderly as well. Every time I or my family go in we try to find Mrs. Monica she is SUPER nice and will go out of her way to make you smile. The other ladies there are ok, but sometimes seem to have a chip on their shoulder, or thinks the world owes them a favor. We have gotten loans from IUFCU before, it was a quick and painless transaction. All in all, I'd recommend this branch over any other bank!
