I wanted to upgrade my wedding ring and I applied for a loan and was denied even though I have been at my job for years and make decent money. A couple years later I applied for a credit card and again was declined. They don’t offer any kind of benefit for banking with them. I decided to return to my old bank. Kirtland fcu is a laughable. They don’t trust anyone unless you have a perfect fico score and make over 50k.

I have banked at Kirtland FEderal Credit Union since 1991. They do such a good job I moved my mortgage to them and all of our deposits go to our checking account. We even open 2 separate accounts for our children. They are always friendly and the monitoring of our accounts are 24/7.

Do not get a bank account here. They will screw you out of your money and purposely take your account negative so you have to pay out more. I worked closing with KFCU regarding a charge that I did not receive the items for. I was told by the company to dispute the charge with my bank. I did so and filled out all the necessary paperwork needed to dispute the charge meanwhile never told that the credit could be reversed if the merchant deposited funds. The merchant did just that and with no notification or call, KFCU reversed their credit and took my account negative $60. This has been one of multiple problems I have had with this credit union. Go to Mountain America. DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK. They are shady and worse than Wells Fargo and take pride in screwing over military families.

After Bank of America started talking about adding a fee to use a debit card, I decided to close my account with them and join a credit union. We joined Kirtland FCU and have never looked back. The staff is easy to talk to and online banking is very easy to manage. We bought a new car in May and Kirtland FCU got us a great interest rate! Managing the loan online couldn't be easier. You just make a transfer from your checking account to the loan account and you're done.

I switched from Bank of America to Kirtland Federal Credit Union and the differences are night and day. Whereas BofA would try to take your money at every chance they could with fees and minimums, KFCU actually pays you interest!! They also offer a number of *FREE* classes on saving, investing, loans, etc. Also they do a free documents shredding thing every couple of months. They are great!!

Kirtland CU approved my car loan without a problem. They have been extremely helpful in answering my questions seeing as it’s my first car loan. They have contacted me to check in and see how everything is going and have been available whenever I needed to come in and talk to them. They approved me for a credit card with a low APR, which I was extremely grateful for. They conducted balance transfers so I could consolidate all my credit card debit and close some credit cards. They have been so nice and friendly and really have acted like friends. They’ve done everything they can to make my experience wonderful and I appreciate it immensely.

Kirtland FCU is without a doubt the best financial institution I've ever been with. The people you get to work with are friendly, the service is fast, and I've never had any problems with them in the year that I've been with them. We got our car loan through them when we purchased our newest vehicle, and the application process was a breeze. We had gone to the dealer with a financing offer already secured, but they convinced us to let them go with one of their banks, and I'm glad we did. The interest rate we received was half of what the other place wanted. The best part is that I get a credit union that's just down the road. We were so happy with the experience and level of customer service we received with them that we ended up switching all of our accounts to them about a month later.
