Did you breakup with your bank and found that you missed Gotcha Capitalism and Sneaky fees?
Well fret no more, with LAFCU you can be a member of a CU and still be treated as bad as if you where at Wells Fargo.
A few months ago they sent out a long two page letter about some new "benefits" that where basically useless.
At the bottom of the 2nd page was the Gotcha, account fees being hiked from $0.00 to $7 a month.
I was not happy about this and felt that burying it in a 2nd page letter was really shady.
I posted about this on their Facebook and Twitter pages to express my displeasure and to warn other members about the fee hike.
Instead of addressing my comments - they just deleted them and banned me from both their FB and Twitter pages

LA Financial has been great to work with. I just relocated from MI and needed a loan to get a new car, they consolidated my debt and set me up with a checking and savings too. The staff is very helpful.

I came pretty nervous to my local branch about refinancing my car. I had gotten into some financial messiness but I had been told by someone over the phone with LA Financial that since interest rates were really high back when I first got the car loan, it would make sense to resign it now since we're at a low point in time. So I went in and my agent, Lucy, was incredibly nice and welcoming. She explained everything very clearly, made sure that I understood exactly what was going on every step of the way so I didn't feel like I was being rushed or pushed along. The application process was so easy, I think I probably could've even done it myself if she wasn't there! Anyway, so now I'm the proud recipient of a refinanced loan, they lowered my payments and topped me off with $50 too! What a deal.
