I recommend that you never go to the credit union on DuPont Road. I am telling you, out of 10 deposits, they might get the right account once. It is so frustrating, and they are so rude. Enough said.

We have done business with Midwest for 40 years and are close to leaving completely! It's very difficult to be able to talk with a person by phone. I want to talk with the branch where I live, not another city where I don't know them, and they don't know me. Now in our small city, they have removed our ATM and lanes, and they will be run by a person on a screen in another city. I, for one, will not be using them. I'm looking for another bank where they actually care about their customers as they used to. Also, I'm tired of the rudeness from the tellers. It's beyond frustrating when one is trying to resolve fraudulent activity on one's account. Supposedly there is no way or no one to put in a complaint. If a member cannot resolve $900.00 in fraudulent charges except by their way and excuses, and can't complain so as to make it safer for all members, it's time to find a bank that actually cares for its members. It's definitely changed how banking is done, and not for the better.

The app and website are not user-friendly, and the staff is far from accommodating. My husband lost his job due to the company closing, and we were half a payment behind (20 days late). A lady called and said she did not care about our situation; we needed to pay our bill. They are rude and solely focused on the money while not making it easy for customers. We are planning to refinance as soon as possible.

Can't set up phone payments. Called the branch to see what hours their location is open, they told me to drive up until 5:30. When I arrived there, the whole branch was fenced in. :( The next day, I called to make a payment over the phone and after I gave all my information, the lady told me they charge an additional $6 for that. I've never worked with a more difficult bank! This is horrible, regretting every month when a payment comes up, because it takes over a week to figure out how they will change it. If there were less than half a star, I wouldn't even give them that!

I used to love Midwest I got hit in a car accident in 2020 which The insurance company drug out the settlement I was forced to sell my house and been living in my truck since then I'm trying to buy a home and they refuse to help. Me by getting my late payments off my credit report. Tells me they don't care and why their ratings are so low

The credit union seemed to be all business and we settled up and closed the loan with a ten day payoff. They went by the books and with fairness

Deposit came in same day as an ACH withdrawal did - they overdrafted my account and charged me $33 plus my ACH was then rejected clearly credits should go in before debits come off this bank is a joke !!!!! Will be Closing our accounts

My wife and I were scammed out of some money, and we reported it as fraud. Midwest did give us our money back, but they did some further investigation and claimed that the transaction was for something else and took the my money back. They then closed the case without giving us any notice, nor a chance to refute it. Also, my wife had given them all of the research that she had collected for the fraud, but apparently, their investigation took them in another direction. We are out of the money that was taken from us, and there is little we can do. Their fraud investigation is completely inept. They should hire my wife. We are completely frustrated over this. My money was stolen twice now.

Customer service is horrid. Talked to Shawn on the phone. She is rude and arrogant. I’ll be closing my account. I’d rather bury or burn my money than deal with that.

Very happy with the customer service and even happier with the interest rate. I am saving over $900 in interest charges with this bank

Emailed the president Greg Mohr because of the customer service I was receiving. I put read receipt on it. I was notified he deleted it and didn't even read it. You are not a member or a customer you are$$$'

I had a lady that was extremely rude and impersonal. She treated me like a number not a person. I was very offended. Avoid this bank if you can! I absolutely will never do business with then again! Absolutely ridiculous!

I have had accounts with Midwest America ever since I was a little kid as my parents have always used them and have never had any problems. Their products have always been competitive whether it was checking, loans or investments and their customer service was always top notch. They always took care of any issues that I had in a quick fashion. The only drawback is that they do not have as many locations in my area as other banks and credit unions, so sometimes it could be difficult to get there.

I've been a member of MWAFCU for approximately 5 years now and have always been extremely pleased with their services. I initially only opened a savings account and because the staff was so helpful and professional, I expanded to checking accounts etc. There hasn't been a single time in my experience with them that I had cause to get concerned or upset. As a matter of fact, my account was compromised 3 years ago and, upon contacting my local branch, they worked diligently to fix the situation and were able to put things back in order very seamlessly. I had to relocate a year ago for my job and, unfortunately, there are not any MWA branched in my new area but it made no difference. Rather than close my accounts and start with a new banking firm, I've kept my accounts open and active with MWA and am able to do all of my banking via the phone/mail. Whenever I send them checks to deposit or other correspondence through the mail, they always call to confirm receipt of the items and process my requests immediately. At this point, regardless of the fact that I have no access to an actual branch, I plan to never change banking firms. I advise all people who are searching for a solid and professional financial institution to look into MidWest America FCU.... You won't regret your decision.

Overall, this is a great credit union to check out if you're interested in the typical banking usage, such as checking and savings accounts, loans, all of that sort of stuff. I had a little trouble with the application process, but that was due to an error by the person who had been helping me; thankfully it was not a major issue. Their customer service is fantastic. They're available at great times and are incredibly quick to help when an issues arises. As a whole, this a great credit union to be a member of. My only complaint is I wish there were more locations nearby where I live.
