Very poor communication! No potential assistance for their lack of communication. When they cause an error, we were charged their exorbitant fee. They have no problem or concern about their customers' credit reporting! Very quick to report any issues! But please remember they are a debt collector, and any information that they can use to disadvantage the customer, they will.

I contacted Movement Mortgage to get pre-approval for a loan to purchase a condo. I approached three different companies in the local area for pre-approval. Out of them, Movement Mortgage was the only one that did a hard credit pull for the pre-approval process, while the other two, in line with the industry practice, performed only a soft credit pull, which does not affect the credit score. Many times, after obtaining the pre-approval letter, the potential borrower might not move to a final offer for various reasons beyond their control. If this happens, your credit score takes a hit that could take two years to recover. This practice, followed by Movement Mortgage, is inconsistent with the standard practice in the mortgage lending industry. Therefore, I decided not to choose this lending company for my needs. I thought it is important to make others aware of this practice by Movement Mortgage for their pre-approval process.

I received a fixed loan, and my payment was completely reasonable. Then a year later, I received a letter saying they were selling my loan and due to an escrow shortage, my payment would either increase by almost $600 a month, or I would have to pay nearly $4,000 out of pocket. They transferred my account to the new servicer when it was their mistake. They have one job, and that is to calculate those numbers correctly. I am a single mom, and that is a significant amount of money for me. They quoted me a low amount, so I used them for the loan, and then they let me down in the end and sold the loan, so there was no accountability.

My Loan Officer Sheri Cook was absolutely the most knowledgeable and thorough, and such a great person to work with. She worked so hard getting me a Reverse mortgage on my home I've been in for 23 years. It was the best decision I've made in such a long time and I'm so glad I did it. I can rest easy now and know I'll be able to stay in my home forever. Thank you, Sheri, and all your team members that put in so much effort to help me. I recommend her and her team 100%! ❤️🙏

You guys are very unprofessional, a waste of time. I could have gone to some professional lender who would value my time. I will definitely put a nice review on Google and every social media platform about how Movement Mortgage conducts business. I highly feel a form of discrimination and judgment toward my fiancé and me. After having me send all my documents, and reaching out to people to gather all documents required, you guys never provide any update and no one follows up. Joe talks a good talk but doesn't walk the walk. Let me guess, I'm not white; that's what I get out of this. Joe sends email requests to set meetings to discuss mortgage application status and he never follows up. I text him and he never acknowledges my messages. Joe Riggs is untruthful and dishonest. I will put everything on Google Review, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and all the other review platforms. I am highly disappointed and disgusted by Movement Mortgage. I hope other potential clients get to see this company's true colors.

Kevin O'Laughlin was my officer and went above and beyond to provide me with estimates, even after hours. I can give this company my highest recommendation.

Horrible company. Extremely incompetent. I went through the entire process with this company, and two days before my settlement date, I was told by Sahaad Washington that I would not be receiving the loan. The underwriters had the audacity to question me about things like a $10 and $12 Cash App transaction to my child for his lunch. I make over $100,000 a year and have very little debt. Movement Mortgage's employees seem to have no clue what they are doing. I went to another mortgage company and secured a loan on the same house, with better terms, in less than 30 days.

This is the best mortgage company to work with!! There customer service is 5 star!! The mortgage broker, Alexandra, went above and beyond to help get this loan to go through.

A great company with a great mission and they worked with me in less than two weeks they got me to the closing table after my previous lender backed out the day before closing due to a slight credit score drop. Movement was so easy and quick. They have a helpful app and excellent customer service when needed. I trust them and am so grateful for them helping make my dream of being a homeowner a reality.

I just had a horrible experience with Movement Mortgage, so bad that I cancled in the middle and had to find another Mortgage. They would not return phone calls or emails or messages in a timely manner. No explanation of paperwork sent. I was working with Georg in Minnesota (i use the term working loosly). Save yourself the headach and go with someone else. Now that I have been doing more research I found this....

Movement Mortgage stepped in, looked at the big picture and recognized the equity built up in this property after other banks walked away because it didn't fit neatly into their box. And they were great people to work with!

Overall, a decent company. Agent stays in touch via emailed updates on aspects of the property, occasional garden variety helpful hints, and cheery notes- one recent note had to do with Freedom and Choice.

My complaint is their unwillingness to stop sending the annoying 1/5th page size drop down 'paperless statement' promotions when going to the website account page. For personal reasons 'I prefer paper' loan statements and have confirmed that on the website preference link in addition to several emailed requests that the drop-down advertisements cease. I am entitled to make the selection and I did, selecting paper statements.

Horrible company. Extremely incompetent. I put an offer on a house and needed a pre qualifying letter from them. I was told I would have the letter in a couple of hours from the Senior Lender but she never sent it to me, never answered my phone call or email when she promised me the letter. Therefore my wife and I lost the bid on the house because we had to have it that day.

HORRIBLE beyond belief! The WORST customer service imaginable. Incompetent, useless employees who don't answer the phone, and a call center that opens 20-60 minutes after the posted hours. The worst mortgage company ever.

Excellent service and great communication. The whole process went quickly and smoothly. I'm very happy with movement mortgage and recommend them highly.
