If I was able to give this agency a ZERO stars review I would. Called to set up a draft of our very first payment on car loan. RUDE people at the Corpus Christi call center. People at the local branches (Rio Grande Valley) very helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. If you can avoid calling, DO SO.
If I could give a zero I would. If you are actually looking for a bank that actually has your best interest at heart and are ready to help as the commercials say. DON’T bank here!

Excellent Bank. Thank you for giving us opportunity. I will definitely recommend it to family and friends. NavyArmy thank you so much.
NavyArmy is a good Credit Union Bank. They help you in getting a good rate in purchasing a vehicle thru them. They are very informative in getting you help.
I don't even to know where to start with my anger and disappointment when dealing with these incompetent people....there honestly isn't enough time to list the headaches and heartaches they have caused me over the years. It started several years ago with their so-called "system upgrade." My savings, checking, and 2 loan accounts were literally "erased" from their system, but when the payments were supposed to be auto paid, they charged me late fees for months, even though they wiped my accounts off the board. My ATM card didn't work, the teller line didn't recognize my SS# or my acct.#. I eventually moved everything except my mortgage to a real bank. Just 3 days ago I received my mortgage statement and my 12 year old daughter received her savings statement from Navy Army.....I'm dead serious....they deducted my mortgage from my checking AND they deducted a mortgage payment from my daughter's account as well! My daughter's account has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with my mortgage....but they took money from both of us. And believe it or not, I can't even get them to return my call. I'm livid, and stunned at the same time.
We sincerely apologize for the challenges you have had to overcome while banking with us. We would like to work with you directly to try and rectify the experiences that have occurred. Would you please email us at [email protected], and provide a number where you could be reached?

We have been customers at NACCU for over 15 years and we have watched their customer service and competency quickly deteriorate. We moved to Austin and decided to keep our accounts open since they offered web based services and offered ATM services at participating banks in the area. Unfortunately, NACCU'S merchant services is not properly trained and I can't tell you how many times I've heard "I'm unsure" for their reps. If you are handling someone's money...you don't want to hear uncertainty. The manager said he would call me back (that was 4 months ago) and I had to make another call today and I was placed on the "queue" for a manager to call me back. SIGH...guess I have to start the encumbering task of moving banks, changing autopays and debit cards. Thanks Navy Army for dropping the ball! Hopefully my review will open up the eyes to the executives.

Great communication easy access, great help with understanding and giving feed back about loans and how to pay of sooner with minimal interest.
EXTREMELY disappointed with the services we've received during the last few months with Navy Army. During this pandemic, I've been able to work with my other car lender to avoid repossession and they have graciously considered all my "real life" scenarios. Navy Army could care less about the difficulties their customers are facing during these hard times. I will be closing my checking/savings account with them as they have NO PROBLEM telling me one thing and doing another, regardless of ANY arrangements or discussions made.
Sammi- We would like to hear more about your encounter and how we can work together to resolve any complaint. Please email us at [email protected] at your convenience.

I have been with Navy Army for some years now and have to say that recently I have been quite disappointed with their services. It seems their new tactic is holding on to pending purchases as a way to try and charge overdraft fees from their clients. Also, my credit score went up so I tried to get the interest rate on my car loan lowered, however, I was denied. I know times are tough but this is also a time to realize who is with you through the hard times and who is not. Looking for another bank if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to comment below. Thank you.

Car was totaled, credit union refused to refinance for just the amount i owe. I lost my job and was unable to make full payments. Overall service was mediocre. I attempted 6 times to make arrangements on my amount owed. Since they refused to work with me i decided just to default on the loan. Hits my credit but i was expecting that.

For personal and auto loans we use TransUnion as our primary source. We have the ability to pull Experian and Equifax, however, we only pull an alternate bureau if a member asks us to. We've found that TransUnion has the most thorough and updated info of the three bureaus.
For land loans, our Real Estate Department uses a Tri Merge report that incorporates information from TransUnion, Equifax and Experian. This method is mandated by various government regulations, so they must use the tri merge report. (It's called a tri Merge because it pulls data from all three bureaus.)
