One of the worse finance companies i dealt with for a car, do not care, customer service always have something smart to say. Was told I was behind my account since february but yet i made three payments and still owed 100.00, asked for an extension, they stated they sent me an email stating it was denied because they did not received my signed document i received an alert saying they granted the extension nobody can explain anything to me i cant wait to be done with this company i will be done 2027. If only I had the money I would pay off quicker. They make payment errors. I paid a lumpsum to cover my monthly payment and late fees, they didnt pay my late fees but paid two months of my car note because they waited so long to take my payments. Beware of this company if you want to finance your car please use a credit union if you can.

Even though I maintain good payment arrangements with this vehicle, I believe I got stuck with a large financing. They will not refinance the vehicle, and I just wish I had never gotten it with such a large finance process. I do my best to make my payments on time; that's all I can say.

Dealing with Nissan Finance has been an incredibly frustrating experience. We have been trying for seven months to transfer our lease from Washington to California, and it seems like no one there actually knows how to complete the process.
They have told us five different times that the necessary documents were sent, yet nothing ever arrives. Because of this, we haven't been able to use the car since August.
Every time I call, I get a completely different answer depending on who picks up the phone. No one seems to have the correct information, and the process never moves forward.
If you want to avoid stress and endless headaches, think twice before getting into a lease with Nissan Finance. At this point, the situation is so unreasonable that I'm already speaking with lawyers about taking legal action. The level of incompetence and lack of accountability is unbelievable.

I have been so grateful to the people at Nissan. Although I am on Social Security Disability, they still gave me a chance to get a car when no one else would. Thanks to Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation, and thanks for the letter.

I gave a three because the first person you talk to is rude and judges you when you can't afford to keep the car; they try to make you keep it. The second person is really nice and understanding and helps.

Nissan Finance is not a good company to finance your car. They are always having technical issues and are so quick to add late fees to your account, which messed up my credit. The communication they have is awful. When you speak to anyone in Customer Service, the stories are never the same when you are trying to get clarification on your account.

I would give 0 stars if I could. After having some financial issues, I thought I was finally getting back on track. I called to set up payment arrangements for this coming payday to catch up on my payments. They were okay with it, but then I woke up to find my car had been repossessed. I called them countless times. The first two times, they couldn't even locate where the car was and kept asking if I had parked it somewhere else or if the property had moved it. Finally, after the third callback, they located the car. So, I had to pay $1200 to get my car back, with $553 being what I owed and the rest comprising towing fees and everything else. It has been a battle for two days, and I missed work because of it. This has been the worst experience ever. NMAC has been the worst company ever, and I can't wait until my car is paid off so I will no longer have to deal with them. The towing company closes at 2, and Nissan is still taking their time releasing my car. This means if I don't get it today, I will have to wait until Monday, potentially missing work for another two days.

I paid off my vehicle on August 11, 2025, and had to chase down the lien release letter from NMAC. After numerous phone calls and writing a letter, they finally sent me a lien release letter dated November 12, 2025, ninety days after I paid it off. Every time I called to get a status, I received a different response. They sent it to the state where the vehicle was registered, but that state never received it. They had to wait to request a duplicate title. When I asked for a lien release letter, they would keep sending me an unsigned payoff letter. No DMV honors an unsigned, unnotarized letter like that. I would never again finance a vehicle through NMAC.

This should be 0 stars, but that wasn't an option, unfortunately. If I could go back to when I purchased my car and fight harder to use a different loan institution, I would. There is not a day that goes by where I don't regret allowing myself to sign the papers to use NMAC as my loan provider. Three consistent months where the payment portal autopay had issues (not taking out on the date I specified, which led to the institution attempting to double charge me by making the original attempt and the 'late' attempt on the next and my bank blocking both). Since, my NMAC account has been locked and none - I mean none - of my information is viewable to me. I can't even change my address when I moved. I can't even get information on payoff amounts. Customer service is an absolute joke - you call, they'll put you on an unmonitored line where you're on hold for over 115 minutes; the online chat is useless (take it from me, do not use the chat feature on the phone app, it will sign you out due to inactivity while you're waiting in the virtual line), with reps not being able to fully answer you (some don't even read your question fully). Choose someone else for a car loan.

Where do you start? You can always tell terrible customer service by the number of times you hear "I'm sorry that happened." This was, and still is, an absolute nightmare. My car was in a total loss accident early in April, and it is still not resolved. The withholding of checks and the untruthfulness is sad. Of course, I will never do business with them again, and their answer to that was, "I'm sorry you had a terrible experience." Just to be clear, when you apologize, it's to acknowledge the wrongdoing and not to repeat the same behavior.

Garbage customer service. Every negative comment about Nissan Finance is true. Don't use them. Any issue you have will not get resolved. I'm going to refinance with another lender regardless of current rates.

After having my account numbers changed via email from NMAC, I made a payment without opening the email. My payment went to the account I have been paying on for over 2 years. My bank has sent the payment; however, Nissan insists they haven't received it. Proof of payment was sent to them, and they still say they never received it. My bank conducted an investigation and followed the paper trail, which led straight to NMAC. They not only took the payment but also distributed it somewhere else, all the while claiming they never received it. I have been going back and forth with them and my bank for over two weeks, and nothing has been resolved. It looks like I may need to get a lawyer to resolve this.

I am having the same problems as you are with Nissan Finance. What I recommend is to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They will forward your complaint to Nisan and make them provide an explanation for their actions.
They have brought actions against Nissan Finance in the past for deceptive/bad collection practices and other things they were doing. I have filed a complaint with them and also the Attorney General. I agree that the customer service is useless and a waste of time. Their favorite line is " There is nothing we can do about that." I don't even bother with them anymore. The BBB is also useless for filing a complaint against Nissan since they have their own BBB consumer department that answers these complaints with the same tired lines that there is nothing they can do for you.

After being forced to update the app, I can no longer access it. I cannot get anyone on the phone, and now my payments are going by check instead of by ACH. After owning Nissans for many years, I will never purchase another one because of the poor treatment of customers.

After trading in my Pathfinder for a pickup truck, the Pathfinder was paid off, but I failed to stop the auto-pay, and they withdrew another payment. I could never get a live agent on the phone, so I suppose they never intend to refund my overpayment.
