DO NOT GO WITH THIS BANK! I have been a member for 7 years and have never had a problem until now. I received a check from my brother and went to go place it on my account. My brother’s bank US Eagle stated that Nusenda should reach out incase they had questions. I told the Bank Teller Juan Carlo that and he denied it stating “it’s a credit union we don’t have questions”. Well I planned a vacation with my daughter around the time the funds should be released. Nusenda FAILED to release it after their Fraud Department stated that the amount given is too “high” and my account was placed on a restriction. When asked how I can get this solved, they refused to call US Eagle because it isn’t in their policy and asked for my brother to ask them to send Nusenda a letter head statement. This bank does not put customers first and will blame you instead of themselves. I don’t recommend them. And I forgot to mention that they even asked my brother for his personal transaction history which is against HIPAA laws.

Put your money elsewhere. Made repeated requests for them to correct a problem of their creation. After paying off credit card balance and closed the accnt, they showed a balance due created by the original problem that they did not address after repeated requests. Accnt closed, I made good faith effort by phone, clarified they ignored repeated requests to resolve original problem, balance due is result of the problem they ignored, balance reported after accnt was closed, & I won't pay the balance, in the hundreds. Then discovered they submitted an action against me on my credit report. They are idiotic, not your trusted partners.

Nanny state! They refuse mobile transactions because you didn't sign your name they way they wanted to. It's my name, not yours! The check that I uploaded to another bank for mobile deposit was denied because nanny said so! So Messed Up! Stay away from this bank!
I didn't even finish my application for a home loan before they became judgemental and denied me. I hadn't shown payslips, down payment, car loan payoff, or anything yet. Just started the application and nope. And my credit score isn't all that bad either. I absolutely picked the wrong company to open a savings and checking with if they are that quick to deny their own credit union members loans.

Approximately 1 to 2 weeks ago, I contacted Nusenda's customer support line to request my account number for online access. Despite providing my name, social security number, previous address, original loan amount, vehicle make and model, VIN, certificate of title number, year financed, email, and date of birth, my request was denied because one of my addresses was deemed "partially incorrect" due to my frequent relocations while serving in the Air Force. In addition, I requested my payoff amount as I am ready to settle my loan, but access to my remaining balance was also denied. After expressing my frustration and waiting on hold for an extended period while the attendant consulted her supervisor, I was finally provided with the payoff amount and allowed to process my payment.
To access my account number for online log-in, I was told I need to submit a notarized letter verifying my current address. This requirement is not only unnecessary but incredibly frustrating, especially after I have already provided extensive information and considering there are more efficient and modern methods to verify my identity without causing me further inconvenience.

Nusenda's "member-first" branding is pure marketing hype. Despite multiple requests, they refused to clearly explain how my biometric data was obtained, handled, and shared, repeatedly misidentified me, and dodged the real issues. Their management admitted that many customers face repeated hacks—and with their lackluster approach to digital security and compliance, it feels like it's only a matter of time before sensitive customer data ends up for sale on the dark web. Careless, dismissive, and dangerously unprofessional—Nusenda is nowhere near the trustworthy institution they claim to be.

I was at a bank that was absorbed by Nusenda, and it's been a nightmare! The customer service is terrible, with time wasted online and on phone calls. You cannot contact a branch directly. They spend all our money on purchasing community support with so-called local charities. Meanwhile, I get treated horribly. They refuse to allow my business and personal accounts to "interact." It's too bad because the employees from my previous bank are still there but are no longer able to be of service. I wish I could rate it less than 1 star.

They will allow people to take your money! Do not entrust your funds to Nusenda. I had a vendor charge my card without my permission and take $1,000 from me. I disputed it with Nusenda, and they did absolutely nothing. They do not communicate their processor policies clearly and they leave you to do all the work to prove your case. They did not take any action; they did not reach out to the vendor, they did not retrieve my funds, nor did they send the dispute to Visa. During my initial phone call, I was informed that I likely would not retrieve my money because I had conducted business with this vendor in the past.
I provided detailed information including dates. They stated they would follow up if more information was needed. Then they sent a follow-up email requesting more information and documentation they were aware did not exist. I was abroad and they gave me only seven days to respond. There was no additional information to provide, and they did not specify what they required, which turned out to be a written statement from me (a detail that was shared with me only afterward). They closed the case and took no further action.
It was a terrible experience; they do not take care of their members. It's unsettling that they would allow someone to take your money. I am removing the majority of my funds, leaving only what's necessary to cover my remaining bills.

Wanted to refinance, so I made an appointment online at a branch five minutes away where we had just closed out a car loan. I indicated on the form that I wanted to discuss refinancing. Twenty minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment, I was called into an office where the nice lady patiently nodded while I explained my situation. Then she smiled and said, "We don't do home loans in this office. You have to call one of these numbers," as she handed me a piece of paper. Customer service?? Nuts!

Terrible, over 20 overdraft fees of 10 dollars each for a few dollars overdraft, amounted to over 300 dollars in fees. The bank team only removed two, claiming it was a glitch, yet the customer gets punished. I have been with them for 28 years; they don't care, it's very unfair. I feel robbed by them; it's best to avoid them!

They have been extremely helpful and understanding in working with me on my auto loan and credit card payments. I made the mistake of getting a car I can't afford, and they have been very helpful in managing my late payments nearly every month. Any day now, I'm getting my tax return, so I'm thankful they have the patience to wait for that to come in. I'll be giving them the whole 2 thousand to catch up, plus some. Thanks, Nusenda.

They delve into your personal life under the guise of wanting to have a 'personal' relationship and making you an 'exclusive' member. They ran a credit check on me for giving them money, no loan, no credit card. It lowered my credit score to open a savings account. I got a welcome call three weeks after making a $2,500 deposit and spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to set up the app... not user-friendly, and they wasted much of my time using high-pressure sales tactics to do more business with them. I was criticized for not being able to maneuver through their numerous levels of security. Apparently, they've struggled to keep things secure in the past, so now it's my problem. Find another place to put your money.

I have been working tirelessly on my credit after the pandemic affected it. I have had a secured credit card with Nusenda for 5 years. Out of 60 months of payments, I had 3 late payments during the pandemic when I got sick and lost most of my wages. I added statements to my credit reports that documented the loss of wages and illness during the pandemic. I have maintained $500 in an account to secure the card for 60 months. I have not had a late payment in 19 months. The card expired, and Nusenda closed the account without any communication. I might add that they communicated plenty when I had those three late payments. They called me frequently to ask for payment but didn't call to inquire whether I wanted to keep a current account in good standing. My credit score dropped by 62 points in one day. Be wary. Don't trust them with your money or your credit.

They had a hard time processing payments from my bank account, and then they made errors in charging me because they couldn't do it correctly. When they finally got it right, they attempted to force their insurance on me, even though I already had insurance, and they demanded an extra $60 for it, without providing me with any place to send the money. They hung up on me four times when I tried to resolve the issue.

Personally, I would not recommend NUSENDA. I have two checking accounts and have had to call repeatedly to have my accounts unlocked because it was explained to me that when there is an IP address change, their fraud department is set up to flag your account and will not allow you to move money between your accounts. You have to call to have it removed. If it's on the weekend after hours, you're stuck and have to wait until Monday to call them and have the lock removed. It's inconvenient, and you are told there's nothing that can be done because that's how their fraud department is set up. It has not been a good experience for me, and I am contemplating going back to my bank. With my bank, I was able to call at any time and receive assistance.
