Mariner Finance is a lender that offers personal loans, car loans, and mortgages. Here is a quick overview of Mariner Finance’s strengths and weaknesses:
Mariner Finance personal loans provide $1,000 - $25,000 in funding to borrowers in 24 states. But due to high costs, only people with bad credit should consider a loan from Mariner Finance.
The APRs for Mariner Finance loans start at 18.99% and can be as high as 35.99%. The minimum is extremely high, considering that most lenders offer the possibility of a rate below 10%. However, Mariner Finance’s maximum APR is in line with what other lenders charge. That’s why the only ones who should apply for Mariner Finance loans are people with bad credit who are likely to get an APR near the maximum no matter which major personal loan provider they pick.
Mariner Finance offers secured loans in addition to their unsecured personal loans. Borrowers can use a vehicle as collateral, and may be able to use other types of personal property after discussion with their local branch. It’s possible to get a lower APR or a higher loan amount as a result of securing your loan.

I cannot believe how rude Tamils,Kim and several of the other staff. They are so sarcastic and degrading it’s unbelievable. I would get a loan from them again if I was homeless. What a nightmare. I think this has to be the most unprofessional company I have had the misfortune of dealing with. What a group of rude people.

I have gotten 2 loans with them no problems was treated very nice. I paid both off before time. Third time I wanted a loan the associates were very rude, and denied my loan stating I had bad credit. This is the branch in Oaklawn, Chicago Illinois. Very nasty attitude. I think they changed mangers and staff. Dont ever have to worry about me ever again

It's a high interest rate loan. I knew that when I got it. I will definitely pay off sooner to be able to save some money on the loan.

Horrible customer service. I have a loan with them currently and they constantly market to me about taking another loan. I decided to consolidate debt and accept their offer and I received a congratulations note that they need to talk with me first to finalize. I wasn't sure which office to deal with since my former loan was with california but I had recently moved to the Phoenix area and back after a year. They use on online tool to "schedule a call" - after using this tool 4 or 5 times not any office returned my call at the "scheduled" time. Why would you have such a tool if it means absolutely nothing and how do you flake on an existing client over and over. I complained to the corporate office and they acted like it was no big deal oh someone will call you - or try again. Why the heck should I constantly be trying to reach these people. STOP MARKETING TO ME if you can't deal with the business. Zero customer service skills. It's been nearly a month and no return call but I'm sure they would be calling like crazy if you missed a payment. Teach your Ontario and Avondale office some customer service and follow through skills.

I have a loan with this company, and they keep sending a letter saying I'm approved for additional funds. So I enter the code they sent me then it says to call my local branch. One, they never answer the phone, two they lie and never return your phone call. When I am done with this loan I will never use them again. If you need a loan there are better choices to choose from!
