Prestige Community Credit Union

For most of my life, banks and credit unions were simply institutions you had to deal with—nothing more, nothing less. Having lived in many places around the world, I’ve experienced both excellent service and extremely poor management when it comes to financial institutions.
When I returned to Dallas, I was searching for a credit union that would help me rebuild and take my financial future seriously. That’s what initially drew me to Prestige Community Credit Union, especially their Payback Checking account.
At the very beginning of my relationship with them, there were some bumps in the road. I do feel that I was cheated out of my sign-on bonus due to an error made when my account was opened. I made multiple attempts to resolve the issue, but it ultimately remained unresolved. The employee who opened my account clearly made a mistake and is no longer there, but unfortunately that didn’t change the outcome. That experience was frustrating and upsetting. And still to the day leave the bad taste in my mouth.
However, over the past five years, my overall experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The people who work at this credit union are truly what set it apart. They are attentive, kind, and genuinely compassionate—qualities that are hard to find in financial institutions today.
While they are a smaller credit union and don’t yet offer certain conveniences like Zelle, weekend hours, or tap-to-pay cards, what they may lack in features they more than make up for in customer service and personal care. Every interaction feels human, not transactional.
I can’t say enough good things about the team here. If you’re looking for a financial institution in North Texas, especially the Dallas area, don’t let their small size or limited number of branches discourage you. It is absolutely worth your time to walk in, speak with them, and experience the level of service they provide.
And that’s coming from someone who is very critical when it comes to banking.

I have had nothing but issues with this Credit Union and will be removing all my money to another company. First it was I paid off my car but the teller didn't do it correctly and they tried to charge me more money. Then it was their Money Market. Why send me emails if it's only for new people? A 3% rate is not that great anyway and I have found banks that give 4.5% rates. Then couldn't deposit a check into the bank because no one knew they had issues with Android phones. Then trying to move money from this bank to another that offers higher rates and could not get anyone on the phone to tell me why I could not transfer. I have most definitely given up on this bank as they don't seem to want to keep current customers.

Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as possible. Prestige is the absolute worst credit union in Dallas. At the top you have their so called president who must have an intellectual disability. He will lead this place to its inescapable end.The situation only gets worse from there. Every department is full of useless, bird brained, foul mouthed dolts with the exception of a few. Their one goal in life is find new ways to debase themselves with each new day. But most of all they do not respect their members, or their members privacy. Some boy named Jose was always including members’ personal information in his Snapchats. If you want your account to be compromised, then by all means open an account with this crooked bunch of morons. Also the board and the whole management team are a bunch of unscrupulous bigots. Also they ripped a member off by falsely accusing him of braking the front door and making him pay for it pure evil.

Always professional and great team they have thier. Always thier for thier members. I will always be a member this is the best Credit union ever.

I have been very satisfied with Prestige Credit Union. From day one, they were very friendly and helpful. I was pleased the first time I went in and they seemed to want to know me by name. I got an auto loan there, and they were very helpful. They got me the best rate possible, made the transaction very easy (I was buying through a private seller so he had to be there as well), and they gave us cookies and soda! Every time I go in now, the tellers seem to know me and they are happy and helpful. I would recommend this friendly credit union.

Our experience with Prestige Credit Union has been very pleasant. We took out an auto loan a couple of years ago. The rate we got was very satisfactory. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were going to be taken care of. They had a friendly greeter, offered us soda and cookies, and took us right back to meet with the loan officer! Since then, we have also opened a savings account. Every time we go in to the credit union it is a nice experience - many of the tellers even remember us and our name. It feels very personal. We would definitely recommend.
