ServU Federal Credit Union is a full service financial alternative to a bank. As a member owned financial cooperative, credit unions are not-for-profit. They function to serve their membership. As a result, credit unions are able to pay back higher dividends on savings and charge lower interest on loans. Money that is made by the credit union after overhead is returned to the members as dividends and other financial services.

Always a pleasure to work with a nice local company. They go out of their way to help customers. Great interest rate for an average credit person.

Best bank ever. Out of trying to get a loan from 4 different banks, ServU gave me a chance to have one, I have had 4 loans since then. My credit has improved because they gave me a chance.Thank you for believing in me.

I have been a member with ServU Credit Union for over 15 years. They were my main financial institution while I lived in the area after high school and during college. When I moved away in 2006, I left a small amount of money in both my savings and checking account. I just recently moved back to the area, and I'm amazed that not a single cent was charged from my accounts in my absence. Having banked with larger financial institutions in my travels, often paying 10 - 12 dollars monthly just to have an account, I'm very happy to be back with ServU full time.
My only negative is that when using my ServU debit card, if I choose a debit transaction instead of credit, I am charged a $1 fee as though it were an ATM fee. I had forgotten about this when I was away banking with other companies, and have to be careful to always choose 'credit' when given the option. Still, the 4 or 5 dollars per month I have been charged when using my card is nothing to the exorbitant fees some other banks charge just to hold on to your money!
The tellers are always very pleasant, and I very much enjoy the way they handle transactions at the counter. My account number is only 5 digits, and very simple to remember and they always ask for my personal passcode whenever I have a transaction.
Overall, banking with ServU has been a fantastic experience, and I'm happy to be back where I can bank with them full time.

I started banking at ServU after a couple of very negative experieces at Community Bank NA. Last year at tax time, I filed electronically and signed up to have my refund deposited to my checking account. After four weeks had gone by and the money still hadn't posted I contacted the IRS first (blame the government :-) ) and they said it had been transferred. I continued onward to contact ServU and discuss the situation with them. The money had indeed posted, but to the wrong account based on a minor error. They corrected the situation and had my full return in my checking account within minutes of my call. This was, hands down, the easiest customer servicce experience I have ever had at a bank.
