Sidney Federal Credit Union Reviews
What's Your Rating?
The only thing that gives me issues in the way they handle overdrafts. When you get an overdraft -no matter how little- it always moves $100 dollars from my savings over. Overkill! I don't see why you'd need to move so much when it's just a small overdraft. Only a small issue, but it really bothers me.
I've only overdrafted twice for very short amounts (aka miscounting on my part)
Overall it's a very good credit union.
They do not cash international checks and instead must send them out for collections – an expensive and time-consuming option. Even checks from US-based companies are sometimes put on a credit hold with the explanation, “Well, they are not from around here, so we don't know if the check is going to clear.” I have had checks from some major corporations placed on hold for this reason.
On the whole, I am slightly pleased by the customer service at this institution. But their small-town, insular attitude coupled with the paucity of services offered causes me constant irritation.
