If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely horrible experience with them. Not this specific branch, but the whole SWACU. They are not attentive and always do things incorrectly, so you almost have to hound them to get it fixed. I purchased a car and refinanced with them back in 2021, great experience with the refinance. Alex Martinez was phenomenal. 2025 comes around, and I trade in my car to purchase through Toyota and finance through Toyota. SWACU literally charges me a car payment AND sends Toyota the incorrect payoff for my car, so here I am paying $600 on the Jeep I don't even own anymore. Then they reverse the car payment because they messed up from the beginning, so it didn't roll over into my new loan, and here I am on the spot still owing. Make it make sense. And this was NOT through Alex Martinez, a different loan officer. The people over the phone are rude and argue with you because they can’t take accountability for their mistakes. I'm closing my banking with them and never going back because again, rude people, horrible service, and almost illiterate with all of their mistakes. My employer recommends them, and all I can say is, do not bank here.

They must use the same computer systems as Southwest Airlines. Full of glitches and error screens. Avoid this credit union at all costs.

Very good credit card and Union. Easy loan qualify for auto or home. Must be SWA employee or retiree to join. Always great offers and rates for personal finance choices.

Overdraft fees are ridiculous. Not many atms around the United States. If you put a cash deposit in you have to wait 3days to receive it. ATM machines does not offer receipts to validate you deposit cash for a member service employee to release your funds. Would not recommend this credit union whatsoever.

Great service! I didn’t have the best credit but that didn’t stop SWACU... I love the fact, my loan was never sold and they even offered bi-weekly payments. Thanks SWACU!

SWACU offers a unique 'money island' program for kids that we took advantage of. It allowed our kids to setup their own checking/savings accounts (with our help of course) and part of the program at the time included the initial small deposit amount required to open the accounts being taken care of by the institution - which was nice. Free money to open the accounts with really. There is a financial education component of the program which our kids got into initially. Now, it's neat to show them how much is in their accounts and we've even been able to transfer chore money into their accounts out of ours. There were some early hiccups with getting the accounts tied together correctly so that we could see the children's accounts from ours but this was taken care of easily by talking with the folks at the branch.

I have banked with several banks over the years but SWACU is by far the most personable. Although there are very few branches, the ability to use other credit union ATMs for deposits, transfers, and withdrawals is very convenient. When I do go to the branch the tellers are very friendly and fast! I also love the ease of the online and phone banking. They also have an app, making accessing account information even easier. My only complaint is that I would love to be able to make deposits by taking a picture of the check with my phone, as some of the major banks allow. Their checking accounts offer many great features including refunding ATM fees. I travel often and I love being able to use non credit union ATM without being charged a fee!!
