If i could give zero star, I will do it. Always claims that they didn't receive the payment and banned your online payment method for charging your past due fee. As everybody said in the reviews, TD bank is the worst bank I have ever worked with, they multiple failed and return the recurring money to my bank and claim that they can't charge through it so have to block the online payment method! how funny! and then charge the late fee over and over again, so sick of it.

Terrible customer service after their error caused a missed auto-payment. Refinanced for a lower rate elsewhere after wasting countless hours on the phone trying to resolve their issues.

Absolute garbage bank. First off, the 10% interest which I was told would be $4000 total on a $40000 truck ended up being more like $28000. Yep. Insane. Second, for 4 years I have been attempting to get the account number to make payments faster and the bank has refused over and over. They have zero customer service, so I follow procedure and escalate to a higher department. Super fun when that group says, "Well, the group below us didn't deal with it, so we can't help you." What? So denying me customer service at one level guarantees I am denied customer service at the next level? Disgusting bank and abhorrent business practices. Deception and lies are what you get with the bank.

On February 2nd, TD Finance received my warranty check from GM Financial Services. They said they would keep the check for over 21 business days until they would release it to me and send it by mail. It's so unprofessional to work with, and I wouldn't suggest anyone believe and work with TD Finance. I am so frustrated working with them, and it will be the last time.

They are so bad; please don't get a loan through them. The wait time for them to pick up the phone is terrible. I really wish I hadn't gotten this loan through them.

Absolutely horrible. I paid off my auto loan (in 6 months on a 72-month loan) and the bank confirmed TD received the payment, and it went through almost 2 months ago - they still say they have not received payment. I cannot get the title and it shows I still owe them. Made over 15 calls, faxed them bank confirmation, spent over 10 hours on the phone - and still the same. They told me to pay it again! So you have over $500 of mine and I am supposed to pay them again? Trying to get the bank to reverse the charge, but what a hassle! They are mostly rude or condescending. Never get a loan through them!

The Absolute Worst
You said: Draft review of TD Auto Finance: Absolutely the worst financial institution ever. Their staff made a mistake and deposited an insurance check twice, which resulted in my account showing a positive balance/account closure. They then wanted me to pay late fees and report negatively on my credit score when I helped them realize their mistake. So disappointed in their terrible service, I refinanced through my personal bank. My bank has now sent them checks to pay the account in full not once but twice. The first check was signed for as "received" but they are not able to process it because it was sent to account payments and not account payoffs. I have spent over 20 hours on the phone with their representatives trying to correct THEIR mistakes and sort this out to no avail. I asked to speak to an account supervisor multiple times but was never allowed to. I told them I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They are an absolute joke. 0/10 recommend doing business with them.

WORST auto finance company EVER! I obtained financing from them through Tesla in 2023. I paid off my loan weeks ago, but they are not sending me the title release letter or providing electronic confirmation to the DMV in Virginia. When I called them, they said the title release could take up to a month. Wow, what a bunch of crooks. :(

TD Bank Auto Finance is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. The representatives are the most untruthful and unhelpful people I have ever encountered. My situation does not even involve money. I have made every payment on my vehicle on time every month, and I am in good standing with the bank. My situation involves having an Out of State Title sent from Colorado to the state of Florida where I now reside. I have been trying for two months to get TD Bank Auto Finance to send the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles either a copy of my title or a letter stating it is okay to register my vehicle in Florida. They have no interest in getting this done when it is a main function of this division to deal with out-of-state title transfers. I have completed the proper paperwork to have the title transferred, and after an overwhelming amount of time on the phone trying to resolve this, nothing has been done. TD Bank Auto Finance has no problem with my registration expiring. I have spoken to many people about this unusual situation, and no one has heard of such a thing. My wife and daughter financed their vehicles with Kia Auto Finance and were able to get their vehicles registered in Florida within two weeks. I would not recommend ever using TD Bank Auto Finance. This is the most absurd situation with no resolution in sight. I am the customer and have not done one thing wrong, yet I have consistently been treated as if no one at TD Bank Auto Finance cares about this situation. TD Bank Auto Finance Division should be ashamed of themselves. The one-star rating is only because they require you to select something. Negative stars are how I feel about the company, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about what is going on, including my attorney.

ZERO! Not even one! Awful, horrible, worst company I have ever dealt with in my 65 years of living. I paid off this car loan, and they sent me a lien release letter that was not live or wet signed (in ink by a human). Now they refuse to send me a new letter with a human signature. Stay away.

Worst company to deal with. Incorrect credit reporting, and outright lies made me pay off a truck and they still reported it as a charge-off. They lied.

I wish I could have given them negative stars. They didn't give that option because many people would have chosen it. I am trying to get my payoff letter from them to take the lien off my title. They claimed they mailed it twice. I am still waiting on the letter 30 days later. I was then told I can fax over a FedEx or UPS label to them, and it would take 3 to 5 business days. FedEx stated they can't fax over a label. I called TD Bank and they stated that they don't accept emails of labels and I can't use FedEx; I can only use UPS. Then I couldn't find a way to fax a UPS label to them. This has to be the worst bank in the entire country. They lie and make false promises. Jessica, the floor supervisor, was the worst of them all, didn't try to help with any options.

Checked my credit score twice within 2 weeks. Like what the heck are you doing? Are you purposely trying to drop my credit score? I also didn't give the dealership permission to run my credit today on June 7th, 2025. Can't that get them in trouble? They had my permission on May 21st, but they didn't have permission to run it again today.

I'd give zero star if I could. Terrible experience. Customer service is flat-out unprofessional. I spoke with two different supervisors and neither cared at all about resolving my issue. One even had a crying baby in the background during the call—seriously? For a financial institution, that level of chaos is unacceptable.
The staff was rude, impatient, and made it clear they didn't want to be bothered. It felt like I was the problem for even calling. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company. They have no respect for their customers or their own standards.
