This review is based strictly on the outstanding customer service I received from a young lady by the name of Siddhi. She was inviting and extremely pleasant to work with on opening my checking account. I must also say that I bank with several credit unions, and outside of today's visit with TFCU, my prior visit was not so kind. Which actually led me on the journey to join several other credit unions. I do a lot of business, and I use multiple banks for each business. I was really considering closing this account today if I had any issues with behavior or attitudes with anyone not wanting to help me with such a small request. Great job HR, for hiring this young lady, and I hope nothing but the best for her in the future.

Stay away from TFCU! They have the highest fees associated with paying your loan amount. The worst customer service ever! They always lie about me owing more than I do and being late with fees. Right now, they say I'm $221 behind in payments and I'm 60-90 days late. Nope! Stay away from TFCU!

My husband and I have been members of this bank for over 30 years. All paychecks are direct deposited, and we haven't had an NSF incident in years. Yet, at a time when our economy is at its worst, we applied for a small loan and were denied. We applied for a home loan many years ago and were denied as well. Loyalty means nothing to these people.

Where do I start? I have had all the money in my account siphoned out with multiple transactions of $700-$1000, and when I contacted my bank as I was not alerted, I was told that none of the transactions were flagged as they were not considered "high" amounts of funds. When filing to get my money back, I felt belittled as a person, and they spoke in a way that made it seem like they didn't believe anything I was saying. On one occasion, when I was looking to receive a loan, I was given an unreasonable rate for my credit score of 720 and was offered another loan at 2% interest. However, unbeknownst to me, it was a secured loan, which immediately took $5000 from my account and essentially put me in a financial hole. I don't understand why a secured loan would be offered when I am looking for an unsecured loan. Overall, it was a horrible experience with TFCU, and I would not recommend them.

Thieves. This is why they're not federally accredited. If you want to lose money, this place takes it. If you need it for a reason, that's okay, but not for everyday transactions, and don't keep anything more than the minimum requirement to keep it open.

I'm a TFCU member and recently requested to add my daughter to my account. I was assisted by customer service officer Ms. Valerie West at the Shawnee branch. My daughter currently resides out of the country with a foreign mailing address and dual citizenship. Ms. West went above and beyond in her efforts to succeed in getting my request done. I am greatly appreciative of her determination and willingness to help a TFCU member in need. Thank you, Valerie; you are an invaluable asset to TFCU and me!

They chain-charge overdraft fees and refuse to consolidate. I was moving and had taken out all my money, and a few charges were made on an account that hadn't transferred to the new account. They are now refusing to consolidate the fees or work with me at all, despite the money they are owed being paid.

Took about two weeks to get pre-approval, even though I was ready with my documents from Day 1 and they still dragged it out. I put an offer on a home. During that time frame, I received a new job offer in the same field with a higher salary. They told me I would have to reapply. Tinker Federal Credit Union then denied my application despite my credit score being over 815, a decades-long work history, and my new position offering more money. I was only two weeks away from closing and had to scramble to find a new lender. Oddly enough, the new company processed my application in hours. I immediately closed my accounts with Tinker. Shame on them.

I would not recommend asking for a refund; they took two months and it still didn't work. I had to go there myself for them to finally do something. Bad service.

Got a car loan for a car that turned out to be a lemon. TFCU did absolutely nothing to help, and was told to "make better financial decisions". It's not that I can't pay for it... it's that I shouldn't have to pay for car that is sitting in my driveway. But TFCU made sure to charge me CPI on my loan because I lowered my coverage for a car that does not run!

BECAUSE WE CARE & WE GET IT = BS I have banked with TFCU for 3/4 of my life, always paid my bills, have had direct deposit, and always paid my loans on time. Any time that I have actually had my back against the wall and truly needed help from them, they've never once been there for me. It's all about the bottom line...profit...money for TFCU. I would NOT recommend banking here to anyone based on my personal experiences with management at the Tinker Diagonal site. They treat long term members like crap. The best, most professional site is off of Western and SW 25th in Oklahoma City. They treat you like family, with kindness, care and respect.
