The absolute worst customer service of any financial institution I have ever dealt with. This is the second time they closed my line of credit without any notice whatsoever. I had to learn about this through Credit Karma. I was promised a callback from a supervisor today, which never happened.

Very poor customer service both on the phone and online. Do not use this organization if you have any other options. You will spend a long time waiting for them to complete any requests you make.

My local branch has the nicest people, but the company's loan department, which makes decisions on loans and cards, is abysmal. I am a member with a credit score over 800 and proof of enough money to cover my bills, yet they denied me both a loan and a credit card. They only consider W-2 pay as valid. I am closing my account soon. It's shameful. They use my money to make themselves money but refuse to extend any sort of credit.

Worst credit union ever. The only reason I joined was because of my employer. They're constantly flagging my debit card for fraud. I can't count how many times I was at the local grocery store and got declined because they flagged it for fraud. Every time I called them, I would receive a different story from each representative. This place lacks professionalism and honesty for customers banking with them. I will warn everyone at my job to stay away and go to a different credit union.

The poorest online experience you will ever have. Somehow, they still lack online payment transfers or processing and yet charge late fees immediately after the due date. Most banks provide a 5-day grace period for processing, which should especially be the case if you require me to transfer funds as an old-school check. They strike me as unethical. I believe this is how they make their money.

I got a statement in the mail from Unify FCU about an "inactive account fee", which I found interesting because I have NEVER heard of or used Unify FCU before in my life. I called them to get the account closed so I didn't keep getting charged an inactive account fee. Both the initial representative and the supervisor told me they were unable to close the account unless I wrote a written letter to them in the mail requesting cancellation with a bunch of information I didn't have access to (you know, because I never opened an account in the first place). I am going to keep getting charged a $5 inactive account fee until I figure out how to close an account I never opened and can't access online in any way. BEWARE OF USING THEM!

I opened an account with them several years ago when there was no minimum balance required. Their policy changed at some point, unbeknownst to me. I contacted them to close my account and was told the money I had was depleted by service fees and the account was closed when the balance was zero, again, without my knowledge the entire time. I was told a manager would contact me within 48 hours, but that was over a week ago. Shameful!

I have been with Unify many years when they were still Western federal credit union. I used to believe in this credit union but no more. The three other family members that joined at my referral left years ago because Unify did not finance either four of the cars bought by my family, give any unsecured loans to a 10+ year running business, no school loans to the three degrees we gained and they have become so bad with their own documentation that they falsely charged us for. Its probably time for a class action at this point as Im sure Im not the only one they have taken money from when changing their name from Western to Unify and other mistakes that are theyre fault. Go to another credit union because this is only a credit union by name it doesnt function as a credit union. This Dec. Will be my last month with them. Im closing my acct after 13+ yrs.

I had a loan with Unify a longtime ago and paid it off. And my score was 585 . That was 2 years ago I believe. Now, I waited after a year to see I can get another one to pay off more bills they denied me . Because my score was 587 . I didn’t question it I left it alone because I wanted to see they corrected them self “No” they didn’t I called and ask why they denied me he said because of my score and other things on your account. I told him I had a loan my score was 585 and now it’s 587 ( to note this was 2 years ago) I have been trying to get another loan they keep denying me because of my score and delinquent, , own a home in which I DON”T own a home my credit cards are in good STANDARD I’m always on TIME on MY PAYMENTS. My score is between 571 to 584 I did ask why I qualify for the first one and why not the second time . She said it was emergency fund because of the fire in the mountains . I said okey it shouldn’t change the fact of a loan I paid it all back each month. I think when customers are asking for another loan shouldn’t have problems. I ask at this time a $1000.00 and didn’t get a call like she said or email. So I’m taking it as I been denied. Because fault information on my credit report. Been with them for a long time a friend referred me to this bank . I’m thinking of looking for another bank that will help and see I’m a honest customer. Good credit to bad credit EVERYONE deserve an opportunity to get a loan .Unify should trust the one who pays back 100% like me and whoever borrowed and NOT to Judge because of there history. I give them 1 star portly decisions what they make of judge of history and fault information of there decisions.

I agree with you that Unify does not give their long time customers loans. I've been with them for years when they were Western Federal credit union, owned my own business and financed 2 cars without them because they never gave me a loan or financed a car for me. Mind you they also kept the money that was still in my acct from Western and created a whole new acct for me in Unify's name. It was only a few hundred dollars but still its wasn't considered stealing. My whole family used to use Unify but Im the last one and Im looking to other credit unions for the new year and I would suggest the same for anyone. Don't use Unify they're NOT customer friendly only capitally interested.

I was forced to open a checking account with this "credit union" in applying for another company's loan. After a year, Unify mailed me a letter saying they would charge me $1/month for an inactive account fee. I called to close the account, and the agent said it could ONLY be closed by sending them a letter in the mail. Total slow play and annoying to your customers. Unify, bye.

RUN!!! Unify is a level of incompetence I can not yet begin o describe. I was locked out of my account for over a month. The route cause? Someone at Unify misspelled my last name. My name is a common word in English we all learn to spell in the second grade. Now because the names do not match, Unify doesn't know what to do to help me.

I don’t recommend this institution. They are deceptive in their operations. I attempted to open an account with this credit Union but was denied. The reason they said I was denied was because of what was in my Chex system. The problem is my Chex system account is locked and they did not receive a report on me but they said they did. They required me to make a deposit before they knew if I was approved and now they have enough nerve to tell me I have to wait 5 to seven days before they give me my money back. I am a disabled veteran and I need my money. I have found a lot of people that have been treated like this so I am meeting with an attorney today to start a class action lawsuit, how dare you take our money instantly but hold on to it for 5 to 7 days. Your time is up UNIFY CU….

Gee. Waiting for access code 15-20 minutes, which you are told when you enter the code...code expired. REALLY? Tried two more times, and codes sent when time-out sign-in expires. Are you going out of business? Has the Government closed you down? Do I just write-off my savings account now?
