Their customer services is a joke. I had a disputed charge from over two weeks ago that has yet to receive any resolution. They claim they sent me a letter asking for more information after I was told I would receive the charge back. I have been passed around to just about every department they have. Now their newest game is that they can’t see the the claim I filed. After being on hold for almost an hour another rep told me it would take a minimum of 60 days to get my funds returned. I have been with this institution for over 10 years, I have never filed a dispute, I have always paid my bills on time and never disputed their obscene overdraft policy. But now when I need their protection this is the service I get, unacceptable I will be moving my business elsewhere. This is not how you treat a loyal member.

We took out a HELOC in 2017 and never missed a payment ... unitl we had a Covid Issue and our new refi was delayed. They dinged my credit report and wont modify it. Company has zero compassion. By the way, the HELOC was paid in full 6/2020 when the refi was complete. They wont let me speak to any decision maker or manager. They are ruining my credit because while on a vent I didnt apply for an extension. Never use them again

Absolutely terrible. Nothing but problems. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE! Not only is the staff incompetent but they are rude as well. Constantly placing blame anywhere else but on themselves. Quick to make excuses and slow to fix the issues.

I give one star because I cannot give zero. This is literally the most useless bank in existence. I have had better customer service at a McDonald's in Newark. They have no idea how to help people. they are incapable of locating documents for a claim, they are flat out rude and inconsiderate. You are better off getting a loan from your shady cousin than getting one from this "bank"

I am very disappointed with UTF. I been a member for almost 10 years now. I had 3 loans paid off on time, I have deposited almost $200,000 of new money in my time there. I have a credit card that is also paid on time with no missed payments. I came there to build my credit and start planning my financial future. when I started with them my credit was a non existent 389 but in a rather short period of time working on it I build my score up to an 649. I after a lot of years of having my credit card apply for an increase in my $500.00 limit they initially approved me and raised my limit to $2900.00 I felt rewarded for my hard work. Then shortly after they lowered it to $2400.00 then an hour later they then sent me another notice saying they couldn't increase it at all with no reason. I was told it was because I got a refinance loan with them, which I did because my interest rate from the regular bank was too high. Credit Unions are suppose to be more lenient then regular banks but I am not seeing a lot of that here. I am very disappointed. I would think after all this time of being a loyal customer I would receive some kind of reward...I mean hey they could have given a $100 increase and I would have been happy but Nothing and that's the only reason. If my score and credit history cause an initial increase of $2400, $100 increase would have killed anybody. And here I am thinking about getting my home loan with them. I might have to rethink some of my financial decisions going forward and put my money where I am appreciated. However the staff there is great.

I wish there was a negative start, that’s is what this credit card department worth. My credit card was hacked and I reported to this department, they refused to give me all the credit. I have called 4 times and got tired of calling.

Please do not apply for a loan with UTF. The application part is smooth and approval is quick but if you are needing the money ASAP go somewhere else. I never been to a credit union where it takes up to 15 days just to receive a small loan. It's not like I applied for a mortgage loan. This is ridiculous and poor for the bank. I really needed the money when I applied. I do not understand how they are operating as a credit union when they are slow about helping their customers. You will die waiting on your money. I guess they are waiting on me to give them some blood to finish processing my loan.

I was assured by the financial relationship specialist that my personal loan application would not be an issue and at the worst I would be approved for a little less than requested. I have a 684 FICO score and was denied. I was given differing reasons for the denial from the relationship specialist and the loan review team. Both said certain credit documentation was missing which I had actually provided to both. Very unprofessional and deceitful financial practices. Rather than even try to correct their mistakes and provide that credit documentation AGAIN, I'll take my business elsewhere. Miscommunication nightmare among their different departments.

DON'T open an account (or take a loan) from UTF unless you plan on making them your primary bank, or live close enough to one of their 6 branches to visit it every month to make a payment or deposit funds into the account to make the payment from. They won't allow payments to be made from other banks on their website, and will charge a fee to make the payment over the phone w/ the number on the statement. I've been trying to pay my MC bill for three days, and nobody will help. This is the most frustrating experience ever!

Do not even bother!! I suggest you go to Trumark instead UTF has poor follow through! I applied on the 12th was approved for a small personal loan less than 5k still have not received it yet. They were extremely quick and thorough with the paperwork , but after I submitted it they gave me this mess about 10-15 days. Why ask me when do I need it by if you have no intentions on meeting the deadline. Loan processing seems to be the weakest link here. Scott and Karen were great, however the most important "person", is bringing the entire team to a "does not meet ". I know great customer service when I come across it and this may not be a person issue , but certainly a "process" issue that is way below standards in this 21st century. Come on up a lil higher! Eric P. at Trumark handled a loan for me in the past less than 48hours! Go there instead you don't have to be a member until after loan is approved,and you need not go inside the branch to complete the loan process.

I obtained a car loan approximately May 7, 2015. There was money in my account after the loan from which loan payments to were to of been made. On July 31, 2015 I received an email advising me that your system was changing online. Since that date I have been unable to get online to obtain my balances or to transfer money into the account. I have called your office in Tinton Falls on numerous occasions asking for assistance and at no time have I been able to get online with your new online system.
On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 I receive received a phone call from a woman who appeared to be extremely helpful. She advised me that I was past due two (2)payments on the vehicle and I explained my problems with transferring money into that account. She advised me that she would send me an email that day explaining how I can transfer money into the account from an account in another bank. She further explained that she would be contacting someone in order to resolve my issues in getting online.
I explained to her that I wanted to get the matter resolved that day because I was having throat surgery the following day in the hospital and would not be able to do anything for several days due to the general anesthesia and surgery. Needless to say once again I received no email, no phone call or other communication from your credit union. Since obtaining the loan I have not received any mail whatsoever and have only received emails of my monthly statement which I am unable to open and I have questioned numerous times online attempting to get assistance.
Last night might 2009 Jeep Wrangler was repossessed from the streets of Jersey City. This morning I have spoken to individuals at Commercial Service Corporation and at Par Services who advised that I contact the credit union to resolve this matter
I have called your Tinton Falls office, which has advised is your corporate office on five (5) separate occasions this morning. Every time that I spoke to an individual after giving them my information I was disconnected. The last spoke person I spoke to by the name of Phil promised me that he would not disconnect my call and would help me resolve the issue. Approximately one second later I was disconnected.
I have called the New Jersey Division of Banking and Insurance to seek assistance in resolving this matter. Surprisingly, or not surprisingly, I was not disconnected when I spoke to them. They advised me to send you an email with the request that you immediately contact the by the phone number which is listed above, in order to attempt to resolve this matter without additional problems. I cannot believe the manner in which I have been treated with this loan as it has all of the appearances of consumer fraud while attempts have been made to make payments on a loan and the credit union has made it impossible for me to communicate or make payments.
Your credit union is well aware that I was hospitalized and had surgery in the last week and wanted to resolve this matter. No attempt whatsoever was made on the credit union's part to assist me
I look forward to obtaining a phone call without delay and without being disconnected until this matter is resolved.

I've had a checking account with IFF EFCU for five years now, and overall I get a much better service and rates than I ever got through Bank of America. The feeling of being exploited is quite palpable in big banks. I tried to cancel my Bank of America account and they simply wouldn't do it without hassling me about staying with them. It's not like they gave me any incentive for staying. All my experience with this credit union has been the polar opposite. The personnel are literally my neighbors, and they go above and beyond helping me with all my banking needs.

I have found United Teletech Financial Federal Credit Union to be among the best around, not only because of their wonderful customer service, but also their technical expertise and the special attention to detail with explaining information. They helped me out of a choppy situation back when I was moving into my new home, and I was working on repairing my credit at the same time. They were very helpful in that they provided assistance with my situation at no extra charge, and I was also able to take out a small personal loan with them to help get me through. I would absolutely recommend United Teletech Financial Federal Credit Union to all of my friends and family.

United Teletech F.C.U is amazing. I have had an account with them since I was 16 years old. They gave me a car loan, when other banks were quoting me 5-6 % higher rates. When I was laid off they worked with me to keep my car and went out of their way to adjust the payment to match my ability to pay. Currently I am working with them on rebuilding my credit, which they offer for free. The advice I have received and the help I have gotten makes me feel positive about my ability to move forward. Their big thing, especially if you have a loan with them, is communication. As long as you tell them your situation, and what you can afford to do, they will work with you. Highly recommend. Also, I live out of state but have been able to use this C.U thanks to shared branching.
