Although they say they are "here for you," they only care about taking fees. I used the credit card for a Canadian transaction and was charged a $15 foreign transaction fee. The sale was canceled, and the charge refunded, but when I asked the credit union to return my $15, they told me, "Sorry, it was not our error, so no refunds." I also had a fee for accidentally overdrawing my account, and they don't even give the one-time courtesy credit of a fee as 99% of other banks do, even BofA and Chase will do that.

Would have given a 0. Due to personal circumstances we lost income and couldn’t afford the car anymore. Called to see what options we had there were none. We sold the car and they knew that. Literally they repossessed the car the day before we got the check for the car. Then it was sent to a place 20 minutes from home. We were told we had to wire money or go to a branch an hour and a half away to a share branch and it would be an automatic payment. Went and deposited the payment and it was held for ten days and by the time the hold came off it was sent an hour and a half away and already marked to be auctioned BEFORE the date they said in a mailed letter. We had to go to get it and PAY $250 to get the vehicle out of the auction place. This was absolutely unacceptable. No understanding. Then after they got the payment they claimed we still owed $50. We were told a payoff amount and had paid that now we had to pay $50 more. I called and complained and miraculously the fees were waived. Avoid this company like the plague. They have no understanding of life circumstances

If you are struggling, they will not help you, and they will repossess your vehicle after being one month behind. They are rude and unpleasant. They do not understand that things can happen in life that are not in our control. Never get a car loan from this company ever!

Worst company. I paid off a charged-off checking account, and yet they haven't received the payment; it's been over a month. Then they told me they have to wait 60 days for the payment to clear through their attorneys. They haven't updated ChexSystems yet, and it's taking too long. Avoid banking with them.

Worst customer service I've encountered... Going through a loan process and they don't answer when you call, they don't return calls even though you've left a message, and when they finally respond via email, it's very disrespectful. How can you walk someone through a loan process and only respond by email every 24 hours? Please avoid this service; they need to teach proper etiquette, personal, and professional skills, which they clearly lack.

It is not up to an individual to record mortgage satisfactions with the county. This place is very wrong for allowing an elderly woman to be forced to seek the advice of an attorney or a clerk at the county when it is their job to record these with the county in the first place!

This was once a convenient institution. Today, however, they are the worst financial institution in the nation. Nothing works properly. All of their technology is substandard to the point of costing you time, money, stress, and aggravation as system after system and feature after feature fail. There is no capable technical assistance, and the CSR team has no idea what their technology does or how it works. I have been a member since 04/02. So long, and thanks for nothing.

I have had the displeasure of working with USAlliance for a HELOC loan. Had I known it would have been a nightmare, I would have changed my mind. They do not disclose important details to you. They are not very clear about a lot of things. The one saving grace, and I can say without a doubt we would have never made it through the process without the girls in our local branch office. The wonderful gal, Donna, was able to help us. She was so smart and went way above and beyond her duties. We are an older couple and the credit union wants everything done electronically, which was very interesting, to say the least. Donna helped us figure out what we had to do as the instructions from the higher-ups were not clear at all. I can’t thank Donna at the Woodbourne, NY branch enough. We without a doubt would have ended the process and started someplace else. She proved to me that there still are good people out there.

Stay away. It takes an act of Congress to get your money. I requested a check. I have had three CD accounts. Twice now, it has taken almost a month to get a check. They lie and say it was processed and mailed. But they sit on them and make more interest while you earn none. Other credit unions mail my checks, and they arrive in three days. These people say they mail out daily. Well, if my check was mailed on August 26th and it is now September 6th, where is it? We're at 10 days now. Indeed, my last one took a month and several phone calls before I received it. Their response is always, "Our turnaround is 7 to 10 days." That's ridiculous when you consider they're collecting 29.9% while delaying sending out people's checks for as long as they can.

HORRIBLE CREDIT UNION! Someone, not me, attempted to fraudulently put money in my account in November, I never heard anything about it, when I had money direct deposited into the accoun, this month, I went to use my debit card to buy groceries and it was declined. When I called to see why, I was told that they were closing my account because of the attempted fraud that occurred 8 months ago. They wouldn't allow me to transfer my money out, said they were mailing a check and I'd get it in 7-10 days. When I got it, I tried depositing it into another account, the app didn't work but because of how I had to endorse the check I cannot deposit anywhere else. Now I have a useless check and No money. I'm just waiting until this stress causes another CVS, hopefully I'll die.

OMG, this place is a train wreck. I would give it a 0 if possible. It's analogous to a snake oil salesman masquerading as a financial institution. There are reasons mainstream banks with rock-solid reputations don't offer interest rates as high - because those banks don't have to - they have plenty of satisfied customers, and they serve them well. I was going to park a few hundred thousand here to earn interest until I decided on other investment vehicles. This place literally was like the Keystone Cops in pulling off an inability to allow my money to transfer to them. Thank goodness in hindsight. I dodged a bullet in the amount of time I had to spend chasing them down to ask what is wrong with their app. They initially tried to place all the blame on me. Finally, they discovered the problem is indeed on their end. They did nothing to try to save my customer loyalty or fix their problems. Run away as fast as you can.

Wow! I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I have been a member since 1984. When I call for anything, I get a great response. I can say that when my card was compromised a while back, it was a pain to get my money back. I would hope that they have since simplified it, and if not, they should consider it. However, in all other aspects, it has been a pleasure. I just recently misplaced my card, and all I did was drive 10 minutes to a local branch. I had my lost card cancelled, checked to see if anyone had used it, and reprinted a new card right there and then. No problem here. If you need help, call 1-800-431-2754.

This is the worst bank when it comes to contacting there fraud department i cannot get money out my account nor speak to a person from the fraud department and my account is on hold, at other banks if the fraud department puts a hold on your account they transfer you right away to speak with them. this bank says they put a complaint and you have to wait god knows how long before you can have access to your money this is totally ridiculous I’m changing banks asap and recommend no one to them
