Ventura County Credit Union started in 1950, where it began operating out of the County Courthouse, just beneath a stairwell. Starting with just a few employees and one volunteer with a cash drawer, they began helping members with their financial goals. Back then their philosophy was simple: people helping people. Unprofessional, Slow, and Long Wait Lines. I try to avoid using this bank; I only have my car loan with them and nothing else. Every time I come in, they have two or three tellers, and only one of them wants to work. This phenomenon occurs more frequently when managers have already left for the day. The tellers' excuse is "I'm busy," while they sit at the computer in front of you and the lines are 4 to 5 people long. This was the case for me on a Thursday night with Danielle Garcia. There were three tellers. She could've helped the line of five customers waiting, but only one person of the three sitting at the bank computer bay helped people in line. I don't know why this younger generation doesn't care to help customers. They act as if they're the owner and they can treat customers however they choose. That kind of attitude is the reason why I use banking apps, Wells Fargo, and Chase. They have better customer service, more tellers, and they seem more interested in facilitating service than this slow, Ventura County Bank does.

I am writing to express my utmost frustration and distress regarding the way Ventura County Credit Union has been handling my credit account. I feel that I am being racially discriminated against by Susan Marshall in Collections, as my credit has been wrongly reviewed and reported.
Despite being assured that my payments would not be reported, I have diligently made four payments only to find that Ventura County Credit Union continues to report that I am not making payments. This misinformation is affecting my credit score significantly, as this account is currently the only negative item on my report.
Additionally, in 2018, my account was sold to a collection agency. After arranging to pay off the debt with the agency, the account was mysteriously transferred back to Ventura County Credit Union, creating further confusion and turmoil.
Not only have I been misled about the reporting of my payments, but every attempt to dispute the inaccuracies has been met with negligence and further misinformation from Ventura County Credit Union. Despite providing documentation that clearly shows discrepancies in their reporting, the credit bureaus are not properly investigating the matter and are inexplicably ignoring the evidence I have provided.
This ongoing ordeal has taken a severe toll on my mental well-being, as it is hindering my progress in improving my credit and achieving my financial goals. I am in desperate need of assistance to rectify this situation and ensure that my credit is accurately reflected.

I have been a member for more than 50 years and, for the most part, happy. However, recently I cannot access my full account online on my iPad, and I know others are having the same issue. I can't seem to get any help with this. It's a problem that makes it hard to do all my online banking; I can't add a new payee and cannot change an address or other information on an account.

VCCU is the best. They helped me navigate a complicated vehicle purchase, and gave me an incredible interest rate, much better than what the car dealer offered or any other bank. They were nice, welcoming, fast to reply and super helpful.

When a Credit Union targets homeless people and steals money from a homeless persons account without their consent is disgusting. I am currently homeles and have noticed unauthorized charges going to my account. I contacted Ventura County Credit Union and they admitted stealing money from my account without my authorization by calling it a fee for no address. Call it what you will, I will never do business with a company that is supposed to keep your money safe from being stolen, yet they themselves steal from you. Every month they steal $5 from each person that struggles like I do. Multiply that $5 for each person. Is that 20, 50, 100, 200 or more people? Multiply those numbers. This can easily be Grand Larceny. Penalties for Grand Theft under California Penal Code 487 PC California Penal Code 487 PC grand theft is a misdemeanor then the penalty is up to one year in county jail and a fine of up to $1000. If you are convicted of a felony grand theft, then the sentence is up to 3 years of state prison and a maximum $10,000 fine.
These people need to be charged and sentenced.

I absolutely love Ventura County Credit Union. I had originally set up a savings and checking account there for the main purpose of getting a car loan through the bank. The rates were the lowest around (1.74% at the time). I then liked the bank and the experience I had there so much I decided to make them my primary bank. Unlike many other banks where you have to meet minimum standards to have additional checking or savings accounts, Ventura County Credit Union is willing to set up additional sub-accounts for free.
I wanted to separate my funds out into several account "buckets" and they allowed me to do so by creating a few extra sub-accounts that were directly linked to my main checking and savings accounts. For FREE, they set up a few more, and I was out the door fairly quickly as well. I can now manage my funds across several accounts - e.g. emergency fund, cash account, rent account, utilities account, and I can do it all online as well. Love this bank and would completely recommend them.

Ventura County Credit Union has been nothing but the best in terms of lending credit. I was able to get approved for a low interest rate loan for a rental property in the Ventura area without any hassle. I had visited four or five other banks and did not like their terms in comparison to Ventura. Ventura beat them all hands down. I also signed up for a personal savings account while I was there and I could not be more pleased. Their customer services is incredibly knowledgeable and they even helped me with notarization paperwork for my rental agreement with the tenant. I will be a member for a very long time.

My family and I have been patrons here at Ventura County Credit Union for a very long time. Ventura County cannot boast too many credit unions, and in my opinion, this one cannot be beat. For all of our needs--be it business, information about loans, payments, they never cease to impress us with their level of professionalism and genuine kind heartedness. With locations all across Ventura County (six to be precise), they make it convenient and easy to meet your needs. Instead of choosing a bank for your savings needs, or even checking, I highly recommend the Ventura County Credit Union!

I've been with Ventura County Credit Union for a long time, since before I can remember. Unfortunately I haven't been able to use all of their services as I only have a savings account with them. Even though I have a checking account somewhere else I choose to keep my money here and my business here. To me they are almost like family. I always know who is going to be there and it's the same wonderful people that have been there for years. I know that when I move out of Ventura county, which I eventually plan to do, I will still keep my business there. I've never had anything go wrong with them and I know other people that use them as well. They have a loyal customer here.
