We will never go back to this Bank! After being with this bank for 9 years they closed my account themselves without my permission and without my knowledge, I'm disabled and my disability check is direct deposited every month they not only gave me so many issues that I have to go and deal with now but they're dealing with my livelihood, and they don't give two cents about it as long as it's, hey money money.. If I could give a negative Stars it would be a negative Stars .. not only did they close my account they closed another account in my family'.. attorneys have been contacted.. very upset please go anywhere avoid WesBanco at all cost.
If I could give Wesbanco less than 1 star, I would. My husband and I are having a new house built in York, PA and Wesbanco was one of two mortgage lenders our builders recommended as preferred lenders. My husband and I DO NOT recommend Wesbanco! After discussing the mortgage options with a few lenders, we decided to go with Wesbanco because of the lower loan rate and the friendliness of Daniel Murtaugh, the current Vice President. Once committing to them for our construction to perm 10/1 ARM loan though, Wesbanco fell through with all communication. We were subsequently contacted by various people from the bank, asking for a wide variety of information and documents from us leading up to settlement, but when we responded with questions, we usually received no response. They wanted a lot of information that we as the buyers, not builders of the house, had no idea of the answers. We would email and call the bank, with little to no response. As first time buyers with this type of loan, we had little to no support or help from this bank in the process. And when we met for settlement, we were all waiting on them to finish their paperwork before we could settle, and there was no one from WesBanco present to represent/help! We couldn't even get ahold of anyone when we reached out to them during settlement! How embarrassing! We also were required to open a bank account with them in order to get 0.25% of a lower loan rate, but opening that account was an absolute nightmare. We informed our realtor and construction company that we highly do not recommend Wesbanco for any of their customers. Hopefully our mortgage loan gets bought out by a bigger company. We are done working with Wesbanco!
I can’t say enough good things about this place! The quality in not only the work but the customer service is unmatched. Very understanding and went above and beyond to make sure that the my questions are answered.

I've been a member of this bank for many years. I'm currently looking to move all my money from all of my accounts elsewhere. They have become the worst bank I've ever used. To make it short, every time I sign in, I have to go through all this security by getting texts on my phone then entering the code back on the site. Try going through that every time you need to access an account, often. If that isn't irritating enough, they constantly give the wrong phone number to text the code to. So, I have to completely cancel the login and re-enter the website address. Once in, their site keeps timing me out in the middle of my transactions as if it doesn't even know I'm navigating the site. Now, I have to go through the whole security login process again, just to get timed out one more time. I've called the customer service only to hear, "they can't do anything because that's the way it's set up" REALLY, what stupidity. I would suggest, anyone reading this goes to another bank, i've had enough.
My husband and I applied for a line of credit. We have excellent credit and our home is paid off. This was the worst experience I have ever had. The woman that was in training did a good job but the woman who was supposed to be teaching her was the most unprofessional person that I have ever dealt with.
control control control and more control !!!! excuses, excuses and more excuses! ....need to give you my ssn to put money in my account !??? and my ID?? patriot act sure!!!!

We came into WesBanco by virtue of having been Fidelity customers, so we had little idea what awaited us. Despite a little tummy trouble, things went reasonably well after WesBanco devoured our former smooth and efficient little bank. After WesBanco's most recent acquisition, however, we couldn't help but notice a case of serious indigestion, compounded by a new accounts "system" that must have been bought off the shelf. It is an unmitigated disaster for business customers and WesBanco shows no inclination to tweak it to restore some of the great functionality of the previous system. Customer service has reached new lows and it is difficult to address even the most basic and common account issues without multiple contacts and protracted effort. WesBanco must be hoping that its current dyspepsia doesn't turn into something more serious. Perhaps it ought to keep in mind what happened to Henry I after overeating.

I was a WesBanco customer for over 15 years. While their website wasn't great and the app only just usable, I wasn't too put out. At least not until their system change in August 2021. The website is ugly and difficult to use and with it and the app you now have to receive a call or text with a code every time you log in. Every. Single. Time. No way to change this. It also screwed up with my budgeting software and they (software IT) worked for two months trying to fix it. I have YNAB, but I've seen evidence of issues with Quicken as well. WesBanco's response to my aggravations was 'we don't support third party software'. I opened a new checking and savings with Huntington and had my WesBanco accounts closed a couple days later. Never going back.
Words can not describe how terrible this bank is. Impossible to access my account and phone support is useless. Had to go in and set everything up again. Then come to find out is set to "dormant" because I hadn't used it in a year? That's quote frankly, pure idiocy. Had to go in again.
No ACH transfer online. Archaic bank wire setup. Not mobile friendly web.
Thank God I was in USA. If you were traveling and for some reason didn't have your account number on you and had some issue.... forget about it you are screwed. Even the bank teller (quite frankly and loudly) said she would never bank here when I asked her if she backed there. Lol. Stay far away. Horrible.
Since WesBanco took over Community Bank customer service is basically non-existent. If you call the 800 number they say they will put you thru to the local branch. It rings and says to leave a message, never to receive a return call. I have called the local branch number for over a week, multiple times a day and always a busy signal. Taken off the hook, I'm sure. They no longer accept property tax payments as Community did. All the regulars that actually knew the customers have been let go. A whole new crew every few months that appear to know nothing about being a customer service rep. Given the wrong change, shorted on cashed checks and money put into wrong accounts. Worst bank I have ever dealt with.
You can overdraft your Wesbanco Bank account if you are enrolled in either the Overdraft Honor or overdraft protection program. For more information, you can visit a banking center or contact the bank by phone.
