These people lie to you and mess up your credit. The first year and a half I was paying on my car loan I had no problems. Then at the end of last year they sent a letter in the mail talking about christmas and we could miss payment that month. Of course that would just tac it on to the end but that was fine because we had a big family problem pop up and could use the extra at that time. So we called and set it up everything seemed fine. The in feb my credit score went way down. When I looked into why it said western sun was claiming I was a month late. So I called them right away the lady sounded super nice and said she would get it fixed. Then in may I started getting letters from western sun saying I was a month behind. I called again and got a different lady who said she had no clue what I was talking about she said she would send me to someone who could help. The phone she sent me to rang for 5 min straight no voice mail or anything. They are messing up my credit with their lies and I just hope this helps you so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I really like the people here but I have problems getting timely call backs and staff turn over has learning curves. I am in the process of deciding about continuing here. I've had problems with replacement debit cards and getting credit card checks. The most recent problem was their inability to find the value of a Kubota tractor I was trying to buy. I was offered a personal loan at more than 3 times the rate of a tractor loan and decided to not buy the tractor. At this point I only stay because of the hassle of changing direct deposits and auto pay setups. If you want friendly people and aren't concerned about service this is as good as any.

Did a auto loan with this company after the used car dealer told me to take my paper work to them and get the loan.
I did and it went through the Same Day, At the time my credit has some issues so this was the way to go. The rates were a bit high for me due to my score but it was very fair overall
The thing is when I went back 9 months later they approved me for a Lexus that I purchased wholesale at a dealer. So This bank helped me a lot and basically gave me the money
That is what I needed and that is what I got.
Western Sun also helped me to improve my credit score back up to the "Good Category " by giving me the loans. So I have to give them a five star.
My wife and I both had checking accounts with them at no fee at all and a very nice clean branch in OK.

So, I'm a big fan of credit unions. I enjoy the communal aspects of a credit union. It's nice to know that everyone that does business there is on the same team. The teller and account reps at Western Sun really go above and beyond to make you feel like a member of that team. I opened a checking account there several years ago. And from what I remember, the application process was extremely simple and quick. I like to be thorough when applying for anything and they went above and beyond in answering all of my questions. Overall, their customer service was top notch.

This company is very kind and personable towards their customers. They treat their customers like individuals, not numbers and are always willing to answer any question you have, no matter how basic it seems. This company takes great care to fix any issue or problem you have immediately because they really value their customer's business. Their application process is also very quick and easy and they are there to help you every step of the way! I did move out of Oklahoma, so I can no longer use this company, which I regret, but while I was a customer, I received top-notch service and I have not received service that good since I left Western Sun.

I have dealt with credit unions my whole life. I will never bank any other way. When I go into Western Sun Federal Credit Union I feel like these people are my friends, my family. They care about the community and the well being of the people who bank with them. They solve the very few problems you have quickly. They are friendly and ask you how your family is (who they know by name) because that's the kind of service you get here: caring, friendly, efficient, the list goes on and on. They are my #1 banking choice.

Even if I don't have much experience with credit unions, I can honestly say without any doubt that the Western Sun Federal Credit Union is among the very best. They cover almost everything - from car loans to mortgages - but I only applied for their credit card services. Their customer service is top notch; I probably stressed them out a lot with my questions but they answered promptly every single time! Then, unlike other unions the application process is very simple - pretty much the 1-2-3 type.

As a side note, I even recommended this credit union to some friends and they've been deeply grateful ever since! Probably the only downside would be that their services are only available to Oklahoma citizens. All in all, I definitely recommend them, especially for their credit cards.

Western Sun Federal Credit Union has been nothing but helpful to me in the last couple of years. I initially came to them in 2010 when I needed a loan for a new car. I was starting a family and we really needed a bigger car for all of us. Western Sun really helped us out and we were able to get that car. Since then I have used their services several times and have found the staff to be nothing but helpful. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great credit union.
