They say credit unions offer the best deals and are all about their members. However, Affinity FCU does not fit this description. Imagine, I have a credit score between 680-690 with no debt. I hold four bank accounts with Affinity. I'm purchasing a car for $16,000 out the door with a 50% down payment (all because my last car was totaled). My previous three car loans were flawless, yet Affinity has denied me. I was approved by the dealer at a high rate, which I accept because I plan to make double payments and clear this modest loan in under two years. Therefore, I'll stop by tomorrow to withdraw $6,000 for my down payment, close my account, and transfer my funds elsewhere. Well done, Affinity Credit Union.

If I could give zero stars, that would be my review of this company. I had a car loan from AFCU, and I was trying to sell the car to pay off my loan. However, the customer service representatives didn't know how to handle the process and ended up transferring me to the collections department. They were going to repossess my car because they said I told them I couldn't make the car payment, which I absolutely never said; they just don't know how to perform their duties. Additionally, the customer service was unprofessional and rude. They never train their staff properly. It's the most unprofessional company I have ever encountered in my life so far. Stay away from this loan lender.

I give zero stars to these people who are impossible to deal with and impossible to contact. They lock your account so you cannot even make a payment, and then you can't call or get in touch with anyone. You literally have to send an email to say that you're on hold to get them to pick up the phone. And then you better hope they pick up the phone because they probably will not. It is impossible to get anything done with these people, and to top it all off, they're taking literally three to $4,000 a year per loan and not even accounting for it in the interest that I'm paying towards my loan. This is the worst place I have ever had to deal with in history.

Never finance a car with these people; they are so rude and careless and sneak things into your loan! The employee I had an encounter with was very inconsiderate and hostile. I don't recommend them.

I made a mistake regarding the coverage needed for my car, and it took them about one month to realize that. When they informed me, I fixed it right away. However, they ended up charging me $2000 for the time it took them to notice the error. I tried talking to them, but apparently, they are not responsible for their mistakes. Yet, you have to be responsible for yours and pay them. Customer service deserves one star; they are not here to help you, just to collect.

If they offer affinity, go literally anywhere else. Member care is impossible to reach, and they don’t care about you. The loan hasn't decreased in years, and communication is non-existent. Customer service at the only ones who answer and they are limited in what they can do which is basically take payments.

Couldn't keep up with when I made payments- even when I had banking proof of payments- My loan hasn't decreased in years and no one can explain why. Terrible service and at home workers have no clue how to help. They say they will pass it on to unknown person and no one returns your calls. This has to be illegal! Going to a lawyer. Will never tell anyone to use them. I went to save interest rate and not one penny has decreased in years. How is that possible? I actually more on my car now than when I bought it. It is a mess!
