Huntington Bank Checking Accounts

Huntington is a joke. I cant believe that because of a made up holiday like juneteenth I have to wait 3 days to get my pay. I will be switching and never returning to a joke of a bank like Huntington

Customer service is very bad operator out of Taiwan doesn't understand the business. Messed my account up.

Stay away from the Huntington bank on 12 mile in Madison Heights. They are garbage their lines inside or so long because their ATM is never available for withdrawals or deposits this place should be closed down.

I live in Texas. Until a month ago, I had not even heard of Huntington bank. Then some of my personally identifying information made it to the dark web . At least one account was opened in my name at Huntington Bank. The same fraudsters also applied for credit in my name at Huntington. Despite multiple customer service and fraud department calls to Huntington, I was never able to reach a representative who seemed to know what they were doing or who even acknowledged that identity theft of this kind is fraudulent. I've spent hours on the phone with Huntington, to no avail. A dangerously incompetent and uncaring bank.

I opened a Huntington Bank account online and changed my direct deposit to the new account. As soon as my paycheck was deposited, I was locked out of the account without any warning or explanation.

When I called customer service, I was told the account was “under review,” but no one could tell me why, how long the review would take, or what I needed to do to resolve it. I requested a supervisor and spent over 30 minutes on hold without receiving any meaningful assistance.

The only solution Huntington offered was for me to visit a branch. The problem is that the nearest branch is approximately 5 hours from my home. I find it unreasonable that Huntington allows customers to open accounts online, accepts direct deposits, and then requires an in-person visit without offering any alternative way to verify identity or regain access to funds.
At the time of this review, my payroll funds are still inaccessible, and I have received no clear explanation, timeline, or resolution. My experience has been extremely frustrating due to the lack of communication and customer support.

Very poor service. I deposited 1,000 through the ATM 5 23 26 at 12:10 to 12:15 . This was a cash deposit. My money was not deposited my money was not refunded I received no receipt. I went to the lobby to let them know the doors were locked I knocked on them some one came to the door I explained what had happened her response was. They were closed there's nothing they could do to call the 1 800 number on my card which I did and went through the whole scenario again to be told that their investigators would be there in 2 to 3 business days to investigate . Really??? Bc 1,000 isn't of enough importance to find out where the money went? Bc I don't have bills coming out of the account and I don't have any bills that need paid before the 2 to 3 day investigation even begins?
Why wouldn't anyone working at a bank that was at the bank closed or not do their due diligence for the customer and oh I don't know count the money that's been deposited see what went on? Very unprofessional as far as I'm concerned and me waiting for your investigation is a bunch of crap. There are cameras at the drive through for just this kind of problem. Huntington Bank at streetsboro location is the worst bank I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Any other bank I've been involved with does not make the customer wait or jump through hoops to get their own money . I am going to see an attorney over this issue. If I could rate this place in Ohio with. Zero in stars I would!!!

I opened a checking and savings account online with Huntington bank. They approved me and opened the accounts. This was around the 8th of may 2026. On may 10th 2026 I mobile deposited a check for 1000. On may 12th the sent me an email closing my accounts. No reason given. They put a hold on the check I deposited until the 15th. They told me I could go to a branch and withdraw the money on the 15th. I tried this and I was denied. No reason given. Said id have to wait up to 60 days for my account to close to get the money. They also said I could get the person who wrote me the check to get a certified stamped letter saying he wrote me the check? I have pictures from the person who wrote me the check showing it cleared on the 11th. This is a horrible bank. I didnt check for reviews before I tried them. But they have hundreds of bad reviews. All I want is my money back.

Someone and we know who it was hacked into my husband account and they didn’t notify him and they closed his account without notifying him! They promised he could get that money back and now they won’t! I guess we are going to have to hire a lawyer and complain to the BBB. If we could give a zero star we would. That person that took his money should be in prison! But no one will do a damn thing about it.

Last week, while at work, I applied for an account with Huntington Bank, and on this past Saturday went to deposit $220 cash into the ATM at the branch located at 5049 W Park Blvd in Plano, and the receipt printed out showing my available account of $0. I have been calling, trying to figure out what’s going on, and finally today I was told that the ATM has issues that are not easily known. I was also told that direct deposit from the employer would result in the first $500 would be available and the rest being available after the next business day. After all these lies, I am not sure as to what to believe, but I have now been told that my $220 possibly will be posted to my account on Tuesday. Very poor customer service and no accountability from this bank at all. I am not even sure my money will be returned. Thank God for receipts, but will they honor their word and give me back my money? Just spoke with the actual banker, who told me that the policy about cash not being available right away is on the receipt, but my response to him was that to know that one would have to put cash into the ATM to get that result. I asked him why I show a printed receipt that displays $0, and my online bank account shows an account balance of $0, and he responded that until the cash deposit clears, you won't see the amount, but he can see it on his end on my debit card. My response was isn't my back debit card attached to my checking account, so why would I not see it.

I just wanted to publicly thank Huntington for being such a great let down. They accepted my deposit after they closed my account and let it sit there saying it is pending and then days later sent the deposit back. Anthony Miser was as rude and condescending as could be and no one at the bank knew or cared who he was and I can see why. He did nothing to help me other then be rude and talk to me as if I don’t understand English. I have a degree and surely years more education than him so he has no business talking to anyone that way. I encourage everyone to stay away from this bank if you value customer service and respect.
