Delta Community Credit Union Credit Cards

I've been a member of the Delta Community Credit Union since 1993 and have happily used their Visa credit card for many of those years, paying off my balance with a check sent to their Atlanta P.O. Box address, which is on the envelope included with the bill for remittance every month. For many years this worked very well, but then, beginning in early 2024, it no longer did. Time after time, I've received notifications from the Delta Community Credit Union that they have not received my remittance check. Several times, seeing that they had not yet processed my check, even though it had been mailed from NYC to Atlanta a good two weeks in advance of the due date, I was able to make a payment over the phone using my NYC Citibank checking account. Then Delta Community Credit Union stopped accepting this for any amount greater than the minimum due. This then forced a customer to have to pay interest on the remainder of their bill. I'm at a loss to know what is going on with this institution, which I've been a member of since 1993. Are there any explanations or similar experiences out there?

Get your credit card from a different company. DCU will challenge you financially. I didn't realize I was being charged 50% in interest until I started using the credit card almost a year later. I have good credit, and out of all the credit cards I have, this is the worst, even if you work for Delta. Take my advice, do not get a credit card from them if you do not want to have a high financial loss of debt. This is the worst credit card interest rate I have ever had in my life. You will be paying off this debt for a long time because most of your payments will go toward the interest rate instead of paying off your account. I regret having this card through them, and I will cut it up.

Rewards are weak. Used points for Delta Airline tickets - departure had to be adjusted due to medical emergency. The change fee was more than the original tickets. The best reward is to take cash but there are much better cards for cash back.

I have never been late to my cards. Credit Guard a consolidation company pays my créditos on the 23rd negarles of when is due, thus creditors label me late. Please fix

Their member (customer) service is not nearly as friendly as that of Navy Federal Credit Union Associates. Sometimes it seems like you're dealing with a big bank instead of a well known and established member run credit union.

Additionally, I don't like that the secured credit card doesn't automatically convert to a non-secured credit card after 6 to 12 months of on time payments. Additionally, you have to resubmit a new application via a hard inquiry in order to get a non-secured credit card with Delta Community Credit.

The staff is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They are always ready to assist the customers in the mostly courteous fashion possible.

Very good service card is very helpful and increased your credit I will recommend this to anyone if you are planning to fix or increase your credit

Excellent Service. Customer service always monitors my credit. I am a business travel and that is important to me. I pay off the complete balance.

Delta community use to be the best, now my mind has totally changed about them. They aren't trustworthy at all. Recently they raised my interest rate on my credit card three times in one year without informing me of the change. The way I found out was by checking and monitoring my credit card account after seeing how they raised it
the first time. And when you call, no one knows anything. The latest response was they had to change the rates according to the federal trade commision and I got that response after leaving a public review on the matter. However, I do like their rewards program, the banking app, and no monthly service fee for your accounts which is why I gave 3 stars.
