I was referred to this credit union by my daughter. I opened a checking account with the bank representative Isabella. She was very helpful and professional. She helped me open an account and complete some paperwork I needed. Her politeness and kindness were very appreciated. I will definitely recommend this bank to my friends. Thank you, Isabella, for a job well done.

These people in charge of running this place are very crooked when they change policies. In 2018, I opened a savings account so I could get a new car loan. I was told that I have to keep a minimum of $25.00 in the savings account to avoid a service charge. I paid off my car loan in 2019 but left the $25.00 in my savings account so I would remain a member and one day get another car loan. I checked this year and my account had been closed due to inactivity. I talked to upper management about where my money was. I told them I should have stayed under the rules in place at the time I opened my account, or they should have sent me my $25.00. They said they closed my account in 2023. I told them that proves I was under the old rule because I kept $25.00 in that account with no activity since I opened it, and now, in 2023, 5 years later, the money is gone. $25.00 is not much money, but most people like me will be fed up dealing with crooks.

I would like to send some kudos to Russ and the teller Hannah. They were both very helpful today and very efficient. Russ processed my request very quickly, and Hannah finished it up with her big smile and excellent customer service. This is at the Newnan branch.

Employee Kesha at the Sugarloaf branch is great. She took her time with me, answered all my questions, had a great attitude, and explained all the advantages of my new accounts. I'd definitely recommend Delta Community Credit Union for all your banking needs and what you want out of banking with them.

I went in to get a small personal loan of $6000, which I was eligible for, as I was trying to buy a car. I told her that if I found a car for less than $6000, I would probably return the money. She verbally assured me that if I returned the money before the first payment, I wouldn't be charged anything. Later, when I wanted to return the money before the first payment, I called to confirm what she had said. After waiting on hold for a long time, she picked up the phone and told me she would call me back, maybe today, maybe tomorrow. I insisted on repaying it then and there, and she said she would call me back within an hour. When she finally called me back, she informed me that they would charge me $87 in interest for holding onto the money. Though I can understand their position, it was not what I was initially told. I expressed my disappointment and resolved never to return. I went ahead and paid off the loan through my phone, including the $87 interest. Best of luck to Delta Community Bank. I regret that I currently have other accounts with them, as I am now contemplating finding another community bank that aligns with my expectations. I feel conflicted because I have been with them for many years; they had even approved a loan for me in the past, which I repaid without any interest before the first payment.

I've been a member of the Delta Community Credit Union since 1993 and have happily used their Visa credit card for many of those years, paying off my balance with a check sent to their Atlanta P.O. Box address, which is on the envelope included with the bill for remittance every month. For many years this worked very well, but then, beginning in early 2024, it no longer did. Time after time, I've received notifications from the Delta Community Credit Union that they have not received my remittance check. Several times, seeing that they had not yet processed my check, even though it had been mailed from NYC to Atlanta a good two weeks in advance of the due date, I was able to make a payment over the phone using my NYC Citibank checking account. Then Delta Community Credit Union stopped accepting this for any amount greater than the minimum due. This then forced a customer to have to pay interest on the remainder of their bill. I'm at a loss to know what is going on with this institution, which I've been a member of since 1993. Are there any explanations or similar experiences out there?

I went into the branch to deposit my income tax check; I even gave them the check stub. It's been 7 days, and they won't release my funds. I let them know that I took the day off so I could buy a car, but now I have to wait 5 more days. I should've stayed with Baxter Credit Union. I switched to them so I could have a branch that I could go into. I've been a member for 5 years; this is crazy.

Horrible bank, they conduct poor business, holding a check for 10 business days without anyone able to explain anything to me. I called customer care, and they have to get back to me several days later. This is the worst bank you can go to.

Unbelievably terrible customer service. I opened an account online and tried to link one external account; DCCU's system ended up linking several accounts. I called to unlink them, and I was told it couldn't be done. I tried to close the account, and I was told that couldn't be done either without visiting a branch. Absolutely no effort to solve my problem in any way. This place is awful.

Not sure what is going on with DCCU's fraud department, but year after year, my DCCU debit Visa card has been compromised. The bank never has a satisfactory explanation, only making me wait a week for a new card and PIN to start over. This has become an annual occurrence of fraud with my card. I rarely use it and avoid outdoor gas stations and similar places, yet it still happens. So much for the security of the chip, considering I only leave the debit card in my wallet. I have never had this issue (not even once) with the many other bank and credit cards I've held in my wallet for over 40 years. I've been with DCCU since the 80s, and I think their security processes haven't evolved since, though the most fraud has occurred in the last five years. It has to be the bank, as none of my other accounts experience any of this. Perhaps it's an internal employee?

I set up a membership at the branch and was told I'd have 30 days to deposit money, or my account would be canceled. They use the archaic micro deposit process, which was unsuccessful. I called and was told on a Friday that the micro deposit would be in my bank account on Monday, and I could transfer funds. The micro deposits weren't there on Monday or Tuesday. I called on Tuesday and got transferred to a condescending A2A "expert" who instructed me not to log in but to read the instructions on the homepage and that I had not done the second part. Guess what that was - the micro deposits. I asked to speak to a manager, and her solution was to cancel the membership. I happily agreed. What a colossal waste of time! Don't bother. Unbelievable.

I have an issue with the refer-a-friend program. The $50.00 never happened for either of us. Now, I have to do DCCU's job and track everything back, to email DCCU with documentation. How is this right? I am actually happy with DCCU, yet I do believe the refer-a-friend program is a gimmick. You are not allowed to make mobile deposits for the first thirty days, nor do ATM deposits; all deposits have to be in person, which I wasn't aware of. Yet, you have sixty days to have everything done in order to qualify. I made sure that we qualified, and still nothing; no extra $50.00 for either party from the program that we participated in.

I've been using this bank since high school for almost five years and never had a problem until recently. I called the bank to tell them that the transactions being made were by me, trying to send someone $500 on the 3rd of July through Zelle. The bank, of course, put the $500 on hold and sent me a message stating that the $500 would return on the 4th, which it did. I tried making a transaction again on the 5th, but of course, the bank put it on hold. I had to confirm again that it was 'me'. Then I proceeded to call the bank, which should have been a 5-minute call but turned into a whole hour, which it shouldn't have been. I told them again, 'The next transactions being made are by me.' Alicia at the Buford district, who I was on the phone with, only confirmed the username I tried sending the money to, not the amount, and went ahead and took the $500 out of hold, which wasn't even on hold anymore, and sent it to this person. I did not want her to do that at all! I was really frustrated but at the end of the day, I knew that I was going to get the money back some how. I tried confirming with the person I tried sending the money to before, and he said he didn't receive it. So, some random person has my $500, and I don't know who. I tried going to the bank the next day to see if I could get it disputed but, of course, Zelle was closed so I had to wait until Monday. Today, I went and the person said he couldn't do much because it's Zelle, and that I might get my money back and might not. So, I lost $500 that wasn't even my fault. I'm never going to bank with this terrible bank again. This whole week has been an absolute headache with this bank, and I lost money for absolutely no reason. I'm definitely switching to a new bank. P.S. I sent the guy the rest of the money on CashApp, which he confirmed it went through. I tried sending this guy money through Zelle which was the $500 and it didn't work, and that was the first and the last time I tried using Zelle.
