This card (specifically the green serve card) has many benefits that other prepaid debit cards don't have. At CVS, there is no activation fee. There are no cash reload fees at CVS, Family Dollar, 7 Eleven, Walmart and Rite Aid. There is a monthly fee of $4.95 except for customers in NY, VT and TX. The blue and silver serve cards have a cash reload fee because the silver has a 1% cash payback program and the blue card is $1 per month. The green serve card doesn't charge an ATM withdrawal fee at Money Pass locations. Additionally, getting cash at US Bank and TFC bank ATM'a, it is completely free from both banks. There is a reserve savings account attached with no interest and subaccounts for o additional charge. The foreign transaction fee is 2.7% which is less thsn the average card. Most establishments and retailers now accept American Express but it is wise to have a Visa or Mastercard as a backup.
