I've been doing some research on the foreclosure process in Indiana. Missing a payment for under 30 days is not the proper process for this. Even sending a letter to warn of foreclosure under 30 days is not correct. I've also never been offered help with this. I've just been sent letters stating that the foreclosure process is beginning.

If you have an option, work with any other bank! They're impossible to get a hold of—phone hold times are eternal and one is constantly being disconnected from their chat when they can't answer your question. It's difficult and outdated to bank with, if it were not for them acquiring our mortgage (forcing us to be customers), we would never put up with these issues. On top of this, they constantly ask me to refer them to friends and family. I'll make sure to refer any other bank.

This organization is a disappointment. I will never work with them again. They charged me late fees for a check that arrived at Northwest on time. I called to complain and was told on three different occasions that the fee would be waived, only to be informed later that the request to waive it was denied. When I pushed back, I was told that a supervisor would contact me. I even once left a voicemail for the supervisor, and to this day, I have never received a call back. The customer service is horrible.

Terrible bank. Have a loan through them and haven't missed a payment, even paid extra and they won't help me out at all. Wanted to switch my pay date on my loan by 2 weeks and they refused. My house is almost paid for and they won't let me take 10 grand out. As soon as my house is paid for I an dumping this bank. Hopefully, by next June!!

Possibly the worst customer service I've experienced with a bank. Worse that a cable company. Each customer serivce member shifts blame for their mistakes. Live chat will just end if they can't help you, Online message has a 5-6 days response time and calling is usless. Go elsewhere for your loan servicing.

We have been customers for years unfortunately we have a mortgage home equity loan and a credit card at north Bank. Since they’re all due around the same time I called to see if they would work with me on a different date. I’ve never missed a payment but they would NOT work with me. They only wanted me to refinance. They would prefer to charge me a late fee every month than to work with me.

We recently sold a rental property and their loan department paid off the wrong loan on an entirely different property. They then lied and said it was the title company's fault for putting in the wrong loan number. (Loan number was provided by bank) They then placed the loan that should have been paid off from the sold property in collections for non-payment. It took us two months to get them to fix their errors. We have since closed all accounts with this bank. I would not trust them to add 2+2. They are not professional, polite or even close to accurate in handling simple matters that need their careful attention. Sometimes it isn't what happens, it's how the mistake is handled afterwards. Their behavior was appalling. Completely dis-satisfied. Their Corporate office staff is as inefficient as is their bank Manager at the Chestnut Commons branch. I would recommend building a banking relationship where you matter. That is a change we have made and are very happy we did.

Omg what a worthless bank. We like mutual they were easy to work with and did their job. We r in the process of buying a new home and decided to use northwest. We figured it would be like working with mutual what a joke. If we were not so far into the process we would go to another bank. These people are aweful. Dont use them save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.
