More wasted time... Another 27 minutes wasted trying to get to the right person. Two mis-transfers, on hold, and then disconnected for some reason. No callback even though I had just verified my callback information. My call was to fix other issues that had already cost me close to an hour in dropped calls, mis-transfers, and wait time. People don't know whom to transfer to, even when you describe the situation.

Review for U.S. Bank:
I feel compelled to voice my profound disappointment and frustration with U.S. Bank's handling of our mortgage assistance request. For the past two months, my girlfriend, who is currently serving on active military duty, has been trying to secure a mortgage pause due to her service. Unfortunately, we have been met with nothing but neglect and inefficiency.
Despite numerous attempts to reach out, we have been given conflicting information and have experienced the unprofessionalism of having our calls disconnected twice without any follow-up. This has left me, as her partner, to navigate and manage this situation alone, which is incredibly challenging given her unavailability. The lack of support and responsiveness from U.S. Bank not only complicates our financial stability but also reflects poorly on the institution's commitment to those who serve our country.
I strongly urge U.S. Bank to take immediate action to address these shortcomings and to show the respect and urgency that military families deserve.
Sincerely, David C....

US Bank is good for mortgages, although their customer service is, in most cases, poor. I called today to get a payoff; Chester would not provide it after giving him all kinds of identifiers. I called back, and Frank, with the same identifiers, gave me the information. We have had a mortgage with USB for 6 years that is an automatic withdrawal from a USB account, but they continue to tell us they have miscalculated our payment. They have control over the amount, so how does it get miscalculated? When addressing this with the bank people, they are unable to give an answer, or they come up with an unsatisfactory reason. We have a mortgage with USB, but I do not trust the personnel. They have just been dishonest about our PMI, so I am looking around for a mortgage company with integrity.

The most incompetent bunch of people. Stay away from them if you want to get your mortgage approved and move into your new house. I had to find a different lender because these people had mistakes in their calculations, to which they admitted

Worst ever customer service. Need to do a loan assumption post-divorce. It took 10+ days to receive the 20-page paper form. I have had to call to check the status 5 times now...time is of the essence. 30 days since I began this process, and I have yet to speak to a loan assumption officer. Their IVR is the worst. I was told the other day it is a 6-month process (what?!), then when I escalated to a supervisor, they said two months, yet today another individual told me 6 to 8 months. This is a ridiculous process. I left a message finally for my loan assumption resource. Let's hope I hear back, but I have a feeling. I will be going elsewhere because 6 to 8 months is just not workable. I am in a very time-sensitive divorce with a trial pending. Total ridiculous process.

Horrible service and knowledge. They assign you a mortgage manager to make it sound like there is someone there to help you, yet the person is nonexistent and you can never get ahold of them. They don't train their associates, and then they tell you something incorrect, and it's on you. I've lost thousands in home rates because of misinformation from U.S. Bank associates, and there is no recourse. Do not get a mortgage with them.

Horrible bank. Don't get a mortgage with them. They have put me through the inferno! Now since the account is zero, they're foreclosing on me. Save yourself.

Do NOT use this bank for a home mortgage! Despite having a credit score on the high side of excellent and being a US Bank customer for over 30 years, we were put through a process that was ridiculous, cumbersome, and broken. After weeks of back and forth to collect and correct documents, all the while playing a dysfunctional game of telephone between their "approvers" and our loan agent, we gave up. The final issues blocking us from getting approval were that my wife, despite having a letter from her employer stating that she could work anywhere in the state of Wisconsin, the letter did not contain the specific words "working remotely". Then, laughably, we were asked to pay off a $35.98 credit card bill. Thirty-five dollars and ninety-eight cents! Seriously?! They could see more than $50,000 in our US Bank accounts. I believe their loan underwriters are not compensated by the loans they help to approve, but rather by the number of "issues" they can raise. Defeated, we finally canceled the application. One would expect a call, an apology that it didn't work out. No. Just a simple email with a "take care". Take care? How sweet. We will take care. Take care to move our accounts to another bank!

Absolutely incompetent. They can't figure out how to deposit a check for an insurance claim. At their direction, I went to the branch, spent over two hours, and was finally instructed to mail it and the claim to Arizona and cover the postage myself. Nobody knows what they're doing.

DO NOT OPEN ANY KIND OF ACCOUNT WITH THIS BANK, YOU'LL REGRET IT! 7-29-24 - Okay, today it was 3.25 hours. You know when they say "writing a journal about your grievances will help you relieve the trauma"... well, here I go, you are going to see my journal. I'll start by saying that my writings will reflect similar experiences that I have had for 15 years with US Bank (now referred to as them). Today it was 3.25 hours of nothing but frustration, and a waste of my time. For four weeks I've tried to submit an application for financial assistance because my interest rate on my equity loan doubled six months ago and due to them not allowing me to "fix" my rate (for years and years I tried). When I called the Loss Mitigation Department (who I was previously told to reach out to for application status), they transferred me to talk with the Home Equity Department, who transferred me to the Hardship Department, who then transferred me to the Special Point of Contact Department, then, after 45 minutes on hold, told me that I am being transferred to the 'Collections Department', another 45 minutes to find out that I am not in collections, and then I was transferred back to my original department, to the Loss Mitigation Department. Yes, the transferring all around, with no accountability from the employees doing this, is very frustrating.
