We delivered a cancellation notice for our homeowners policy on the effective date after having paid early. It is 71 days later, and we have not received our refund. In accordance with Florida Administrative Code, the refund should be made within 15 working days. I was just told by our agent that it is 15 days from when the cancellation processes. It seems they can delay processing for months to avoid refunding. Find a different insurance company! They disgrace both the names American and Integrity.

Absolutely Terrible Experience

I would give zero stars if I could. American Integrity Insurance is hands down one of the worst insurance companies I've ever dealt with. They are quick to collect premiums but painfully slow and evasive when it comes to honoring claims. My property was damaged, and despite providing every document they asked for (multiple times), they dragged their feet for weeks, then denied the claim with a vague and unfair explanation.

Customer service was dismissive, unhelpful, and often impossible to reach. Every call feels like you're being passed around from person to person, none of whom seem to know what's going on. It feels like they're trained to frustrate customers into giving up. I've had insurance for years and never experienced anything this shady.

If you value your time, money, and peace of mind — stay far away from American Integrity Insurance. Total disappointment.

Avoid This Insurance Company at All Costs!

If you're shopping for insurance, please look elsewhere. I recently had to contact my insurance provider for help after storm damage left my roof in need of replacement. I was assigned an adjuster, Sean Woodard, who failed to keep me informed throughout the entire process.

Without ever giving me an update or asking for my consent, he went ahead and processed a claim — only for me to find out that my policy covers absolutely nothing. I asked why he would move forward knowing the coverage was so poor, and his response was basically, "There's nothing I can do."

When I asked why he didn't just call or email to keep me in the loop, he had no answer. I requested to speak to a manager — and get this — he told me he didn't have one.

This whole experience was beyond disappointing and unprofessional. If you don't want to end up in the same situation, please find a better insurance company. I wouldn't wish this headache on anyone.

Credit where credit is due. I had a simple question about my new homeowners insurance policy I signed with American Integrity through an insurance agency. The insurance agent (Insurance Express) of the carrier (American Integrity) was unable or unwilling to respond with a simple YES or NO to the query. So, I had to contact the carrier directly, where I immediately received a clear answer to my question. Simple, right? So far, so good with my policy... I hope it stays that way.

From filing the claim to completion, American Integrity has worked like a charm. The inspector, Mr. Miranda, is very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I've been with AI for 6 years now, and although other insurance companies have made their pitch to us, we're staying put. We recommend it without hesitation.

I recently faced a difficult situation at our rental home due to several serious mistakes made by our property manager. Thankfully, we have American Integrity Insurance, and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with their service. I called their customer service line and was immediately connected with someone based in the United States. The process was straightforward and efficient.

Within just an hour or two, my adjuster, Rubin, reached out to me. We met in person, and he thoroughly analyzed the situation. Rubin went above and beyond, not only addressing our insurance needs but also helping to remedy the situation with the property manager. His professionalism and dedication were truly remarkable.

American Integrity really lives up to their name—they put the "integrity" in American Integrity! We are now loyal customers!

We were hit by Hurricane Ian. They didn't want to pay out our claim fairly, and we had to fight tooth and nail to even get the basic stuff covered. It was a nightmare, and we had at least 5 different adjusters before we even got any settlement. We had to hire a public adjuster to even come close to becoming whole.

American Integrity Home Insurance is the best. I have been with them for more than 10 years, never a problem. I was hit by Hurricane Michael in 2018 and an F5 tornado in January 2024. I have had the best insurance claim specialist, Jerritt Harvey. You are a five-star Inside Claims Adjuster. Thanks to you, everything has been rebuilt and looks wonderful again. Thank you for your great service and for dealing with all my issues. You are the best.

If you have a home and can afford the insurance premium, don't choose American Integrity Insurance. You will do better to donate your premiums to Oxfam or another registered charity. Or put it into a savings account to use in case of a disaster. I had hurricane insurance; the cost of repair was around $60,000, and my settlement was just over $7,000. The premium is nearly $6,000. Since I had no claims for eight years, if I had 'self-insured,' I'd be in about the same place. Of course, if you need a loan, the lender will insist you have insurance, driving money to the insurance companies. Who in turn help each other by refusing coverage on a property that has an open insurance claim. So the seller has to close their claim if they want to sell. Donating money to insurance companies is a joke.

Been in a lawsuit with these crooks for over a year now. They double billed me on my deductible and paid me 1/20th of what they should have after Hurricane Ian ravaged my home. Stay away from these scammers.

we were the city that took a major hit for over 10 hours of Hurricane Ian. They were quick to raise our rates before they even made a settlement. Went through 6 desk adjusters, nobody replies to e mails, phone calls, here we are 6 months later heading into rainy season on a house that already has water damage and STILL no money to fix the roof. Over 100K in damage and they sent not even 1/4 of that. They have ALL the paperwork they need but still can't talk to anyone. So now we are hiring a attorney.

Do NOT even consider this company. They lure agents to use them because they offer very generous commissions to independent agents to peddle their products. But, like has been mentioned in other reviews they will leave you high and dry when you need them. After Ian they vanished, completely unresponsive and just ignoring us. If I could give zero stars I would. There is NO integrity with this company and they have taken tens of thousands of dollars from us in premiums but when we needed them the most they just disappear. Run, run run away from this company. If your agent suggests them find a new agent because they are clearly more interested in commissions than finding you a product that will have your back when disaster hits.

High and Dry
Since hurricane Ian hit us, we've been getting stonewalled by my insurance company. They are leaving us high and dry. They aren't providing information required by Florida law. We're 2.5 months after the event and they have yet to give my public adjustor even the initial coverage assessment. I've heard that they were a good, solid company. Based on their own words, this has not been our experience. We are at 83 days since Ian. The ONLY action we have seen from them was and adjustor sent out 2.5 weeks after the storm, October 15th. Since then, 4 desk adjustors (at least) and then nothing. Yes, I'm complaining, but with purpose. Because there is such little bad press out there regarding them, I figure, it's gotta start somewhere. If they would do what they're paid to do, we wouldn't be here with me asking your company why you don't live up to the values you claim. Isn't that a bait and switch? You know, polite speak for lying. And if you don't pay out what you are contractually obligated to, isn't that theft?

If I had the option of a lower review, I would give it.
