I kept my $1000 dollar credit line under the limit and never missed a payment for the 8 months I had this card. I made a few large purchases this month due to the holidays approaching and made a $796 payment way ahead of the due date. I attempted to use the card at the grocery store two days after the payment posted (to both my credit account and from my checking account) and they declined the transaction for $140. I called to inquire why the transaction was declined and was informed that it is their policy to put a 10 day hold on payments that are more than 50% of the credit line. I literally showed a $0 balance before I went shopping (with $74 charge pending for gas) from the day before... So, I said to the guy "you wouldn't be holding the payment had I split the amount into two smaller payments, but instead you're going to penalize me for paying everything all at once" ... just silence for a while and then got it's our policy to hold payments over 50% of the credit line ... Sir your policy is stupid. No thanks!!!! I closed the account right then and there.
They won't answer a question directly, have to ask several times! I missed a payment when I changed banks somehow and not sure how it happened. They're statements online has a glitch and they can't and I can't review it. What the heck!!!
I’ve opened an account on 10/04/22 and as of today, 10/29/22, I have not received my card. Take note, they have already charged me an annual fee of $175.00 before even getting my card. I called on 10/21/22 to find out what happened to my card and I was informed that they’ll send me a new card and that it’ll be expedited. I still have not received it. This card will just stress you out. Do not even bother applying because you’ll be paying monthly for something you haven’t even received yet. Also, they need to train their customer service. They are very, Very rude!!
I had this card for maybe 5 to 6 months. These people close out my account without giving me any type of notification. I literally just found out about it today and that was only because I was checking my credit report because I had a notification about a change. When I chatted with this woman regarding why my account being closed and I had no knowledge of this because I’m still making payments on that freaking card by auto pay. She informed me that it was closed back in June 12, 2022 because it was past due and over limit. I was only over limit by $56.16 Wt*. Mind you a payment was auto paid two days prior before they close my account. Meaning they close my account for $16.16 WT*. I was literally looking at my bank online transactions for this credit card company, and they were payments made on time. When I informed the representative that I’m looking at my account online and I can see that they received the payment because it’s auto pay. She then backtrack and then said “oh no it’s because it was over limit and we can close an account at any time due to it being over limit”. I begin requesting proof that I was notified of my account being closed. She told me it was mailed. I informed her I have informed delivery. Meaning I can see what’s being delivered to my house before it’s being delivered to my house. I did not receive a letter in the mail stating their closing my account for $16.16 overdue. My credit score literally dropped 17 points because of this bull. I literally would have not known about this Experian didn’t have email notifications. I literally haven’t use this card since April 2022 I would have been so embarrassed and flabbergasted if I would’ve tried to use this card somewhere for the first time in a long time just to find out I no longer have an account. I’m not gonna let this go quietly I’m gonna look into some actions I can take as I patiently wait for the proof you guys are supposed to send me regarding this notice I allegedly received?
I have had this card over a year and was never late. Going through a divorce and fell behind. They closed my account and didn’t give any notice. The Representative said yeah it was closed on the 14th of October and it can never ever be opened again. Paying them off so at least it will so that it is paid in full. So beware if you decide to go with them. Thanks Aspire you did me a favor.
Great to help restore credit But, no credit limit increase..all my other cards tripled. has Capital One no Annual fees.. I had to drop my Aspire why pay for the Annual fees With all my increase from the other cards.. I could afford to drop This one. with only a $350 limit.. and $7+ for Monthly fee..I tried to get a limit increase no real answer o. how that works?
Absolutely DO NOT use them!! They closed my card without warning! Due to inactivity! I used it very little because I was trying to build my credit! They did this in the middle of a mortgage process! Luckily, the mortgage place was understanding. DO NOT use them there are better options out there. They are terrible and will close your card without you even knowing and this will drop your credit score that you worked so hard to get!!
I've had a difficult time when it came to receiving my card in the mail. I was approved for the card in July. I called the company in August and was told that the card was not sent due to identity verification. Cool, I've sent over the required documents. I called back in August and was told that the card was already sent back in July. By this time, I was responsible for the annual fee without swiping or seeing the card. I decided to close out my card and no longer deal with the company.

Yes, the Aspire Card does have pre-approval. Aspire actually requires applicants to check for pre-approval before they can apply, so you will have a good idea of your approval odds if you choose to apply. Getting pre-approved for an Aspire Card means that your chances of being approved for an account are very high if you apply, but it does not mean that approval is guaranteed.
Aspire Card pre-approvals do not affect your credit score, as they're done using a soft “pull,” or inquiry. But if you decide to submit an application for the Aspire Card, Aspire will conduct a hard inquiry, which will lead to a slight but temporary decrease in your credit score.
