The most disturbing and unprofessional experience imaginable.
If I could give Balboa Auto Thrift and Loan negative stars, I would, because my experience with this company has been beyond abysmal. Every single time I've had the unfortunate necessity of speaking with them, I've been met with the most outrageous rudeness and unprofessionalism one could possibly imagine. But nothing prepared me for the disgraceful conduct I encountered during my conversation with Brenda Ray, a Credit Reporting Analyst, who, without question, should be nowhere near a customer service role.
Brenda Ray was absolutely unprofessional from the moment she picked up the phone. Instead of treating me with basic respect, she immediately started giving me attitude, making it clear that she had no intention of assisting me. The hostility in her tone was palpable, and it only escalated when I mentioned that an unauthorized hard inquiry was conducted while I was incarcerated.
At this point, Brenda Ray's behavior crossed the line into blatant discrimination. The moment she learned of my incarceration, she became extremely rude, dismissive, and openly discriminatory. She seemed to take pleasure in belittling me, as though my circumstances made me unworthy of basic decency. Her callousness and condescension were not just unprofessional—they were inhumane.
Brenda Ray's actions went beyond poor service; they inflicted serious harm. Her derogatory attitude and discriminatory remarks caused me significant psychological and mental anguish. The injuries I have suffered as a result of her conduct are profound, and her behavior has led to the defamation of my name and a severe detriment to my character. The distress I experienced has left lasting damage, and I hold her and Balboa Auto Thrift and Loan fully accountable.
This kind of conduct is utterly unacceptable, and Brenda Ray should be terminated immediately. No company with any sense of ethics or decency should tolerate such behavior, let alone allow someone like her to interact with customers. Her actions not only reflect poorly on her but also on the entire organization she represents.
To anyone considering doing business with Balboa Auto Thrift and Loan, I urge you to reconsider. My experience with this company, and specifically with Brenda Ray, has been nothing short of a nightmare. Save yourself the distress and take your business elsewhere.
This review is designed to be as impactful as possible, highlighting the severity of the situation and the need for immediate corrective action. I am writing this to warn everyone about the absolute nightmare that is Balboa Auto Thrift and Loan. If you value your time, your sanity, and your dignity, I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere—anywhere else! This so-called financial institution is the epitome of everything wrong with customer service and business ethics today.
From start to finish, my experience with Balboa Auto Thrift and Loan was nothing short of horrific. The staff here is the rudest, most unprofessional group of people I have ever encountered in my life. Every interaction with them has been marred by their sheer disrespect and unwillingness to help. It's as if they have a company-wide policy to treat customers with contempt and disdain.
This place should be shut down. They don't care about their customers; they only care about making a quick buck at your expense. I can't stress this enough: do not do business with these people. It's not just about poor service—it's about an institution that has absolutely no regard for the people it claims to serve.
There are so many other financial institutions out there that will treat you with the respect and professionalism you deserve. Do yourself a favor and avoid Balboa Auto Thrift and Loan like the plague. I highly recommend taking your business anywhere else. This company doesn't deserve your trust, your time, or your money.
Shut them down, and let's hope that no one else has to endure the awful experience that I went through.
