BancFirst's online verification process is flawed. Every time I ask for my verification code, the first code is always said to be "wrong" or it does not show up at all. Each and every time, I have to request the code twice. It suggests to me that your system may be compromised. I tried several times to chat with an online agent and kept being redirected to "call a local branch." The system would not let me proceed further. Once I ended the chat, it asked me to "complete a survey," which I would gladly have done. However, the survey would not let me "submit" my responses, kept saying "complete all questions." Finally, feeling frustrated, I tried customer service multiple times but could not get anyone to answer. Eventually, I called a local branch and the branch manager suggested that I drive around the city looking for a BancFirst location to enter and make a complaint. I thought that was an absurd suggestion. This entire banking system is obviously flawed, and their online platform appears to be compromised.

I opened both personal and business checking accounts with BancFirst, but was never informed by their representative that the business account came with a monthly fee. I only discovered the charges later, after noticing inconsistent amounts being withdrawn from my business account. Despite maintaining good credit, I've applied for a home loan four times over the past decade, and each time, I've been denied without a clear explanation. It's been incredibly discouraging, especially considering how hard I've worked to build financial stability.

I've banked with BancFirst for 22 years now. I had no problem for the first 20 years. However, in the last 2 years, they've really started doing some shady stuff. They have started manipulating dates on which charges were made to my account, causing overdraft fees ranging anywhere from $25 to $150. The last time was a month ago, and when I called them, the lady argued with me, telling me that she saw the charges on the dates they claimed. I told her I had receipts showing they were wrong. I said that's fine, I just wanted to disable my overdraft protection so I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. She told me she'd turned it off. However, here we are a month later, and they're doing the same thing. I hope this can help others to not make the same mistake I did. I'm moving all my accounts to Chime now; I've heard lots of good things about them, which might help anyone in the research phase of opening accounts.

Well, they cause me a problem every month. Either I can't use my card because they haven't updated my phone number, so my card can't be used, or I can't use my card because their fraud service stops me. It's a consistent issue. I can't be happy about the service I've received. Would you be? It seems as if they think they have a say in how much I'm allowed to spend and where I can spend it. Is this normal? It should not be! If this continues I will close my account, period.

Worst financial institution I've ever used. The Truck Shop of Okemah forced this bank on me for my auto loan instead of letting me use my credit union or personal bank, which should have been a red flag. They dinged my credit within 7 days of signing, instead of the 30 days you're allotted. Then, they couldn't get my title back within the 30 days due to them not filing with the state on time. They canceled the account and dinged my credit once more since their policy isn't in their clients' best interest. They closed the account and opened a new one. It took my 740 credit score to a 520 in less than 30 days, so I was ineligible to go to another bank or financial institution.

When I called to reverse the matter, they said there was nothing they could do, all the while giving me the runaround saying my loan officer wasn't there. I called every day for three weeks. Once it was set in stone, she suddenly came back to work at the Okemah facility. Currently, I called to make my truck payment yesterday, and now they won't take a credit card payment for my truck loan after I've made 11 successful payments to rebuild my credit that they ruined. I’ve not been late or missed a payment in 18 months. Nor do I pay interest on my credit card. I’ve paid it that way to build my credit back that this institution ruined.They said their policy has changed since January 1, 2024, and they are unable to take a credit card payment. They want me to open a checking account to pay my loan. I personally wouldn’t trust this institution with a hand full of wooden nickels much less your hard earned money or any investment.So if you are in need of a financial institution, never use BancFirst. Hopefully, you'll find someone who looks out for you and treats you right as a client, but these people will not.

I've always loved bancfirst! They have always been so good to me! I have been banking with Bancfirst for over 15 years and I have never had a problem with them.

I have had an excellent payment record with bancfirst for many years,yet they are not lowering my interest rate. My credit score is up and I think that should reflect in lower rates.

Worst bank I have ever had the miserable pleasure of working with in my life. This bank is dishonest, disorganized, and dysfunctional. Took us a year and half to close an account. We spoke to multiple representatives and received a different answer every time, all unreasonable, maybe even illegal.

Garbage bank with garbage policies. After I spent an hour there opening my new accounts; they neglected to mention that my employer's pay check would be put on hold for 15 days! As I'm a new customer! That's how y'all treat your new customers? Once my 15 day waiting period is over, I'm going to take all my cash from this piss-poor establishment and open an account at a competent institution that appreciates new customers - and not penalizes them.

The people at the bank have always friendly, however they do not follow the law or their own policy when it comes to dispersing funds upon death. There was a co-owner and Payable on Death for an account that were executed by the original owner of the account. Their attorneys refused to release the funds even though the estate attorney said they were not part of the estate and their paperwork said otherwise.

I've been a bacfirst customer for many years. That will end as soon as I can set up with another bank. The service has declined significantly in the past few years, and today was the last straw. 1. Had a CD that I needed to borrow against. The secured loan was not approved. Went to deposit the stimulus check the was a joint check issued to me and my wife, she is not on the account. For years we have deposited tax returns with her signing the check, then me signing the check, and then making the deposit....never been a problem..trying to do the exact same process with the covid check cost $45.00 and some change...their rational: "your wife is not on the account and the government requires this charge to prove that she received her part"...really???!!! Today I needed a small cash advance on my bancfirst credit card...a secured credit card... I have had a zero balance since June..the cash advance was declined...no explanation just "you'll need to call the number on the back of the card "....I did call the number to cancel the card...going to take 2 months to get my money back in the form of a check...much more on my mind but the bottom line is...bancfirst is Loyal to bacfirst and not to oklahoma or their customers. I would never recommend bancfirst to anyone.

BancFirst is amazing! Wonderful customer service!! I moved after my divorce and needed to establish credit and they were so helpful!

I have been banking with Bancfirst since high school. Overall, I would rate them as average. They have implemented online banking and a mobile phone app, which is handy. You can pay bills, check your account, and transfer money easily. Every person I've dealt with has given great customer service. The tellers are very friendly and efficient. The newest version of their app offers check deposit, which I was really excited about. However, you have to have an average balance in your checking account of $500 to use this, which is near impossible for me. So, that was pretty disappointing, as that would have been a great feature for me. In conclusion, I would recommend Bancfirst due to their great customer service, but they do need to update some of their convenience features to compete with some of the larger banks.

I have been a Bancfirst customer for 8 years now. They have always been there for me in all of my transactions. The people that work at Bancfirst have always been fast and friendly. As soon as i opened my savings account, they have always been available for any questions I had.

I am new to Bancfirst but I have found it to be a very pleasant experience so far. There just seems to be an ease with which you can get things done, done very easily. I started up my account so I could have a way of being able to do my shopping easily online and with as little hassle and fuss and muss as possible.So far when it comes to online shopping things are just snap. I am really happy with the rates and plans they make available. The monthly fee is really cheap and it is really easy to use their online features as well as they have just fantastic customer service. I have had very bad past experiences with banks in the past, especially the ones with online features but for me Banc first has been an a absolute winner in every category.
