Horrible customer service! I was charged a $64.50 late fee even though I paid my mortgage through their online website on the 16th deadline. I called their customer service at the Walla Walla branch and they could not help me. I paid off my mortgage the next business day and also my line of credit...luckily I could do this! They lost my business and any future house purchases (I have 10 rental houses I was thinking of refinancing with them) , all because their customer service basically cared less about me and they would not remove the fee that should never have been assessed. Even their home loan manager told me that they never remove late fees...Really? I would think twice about getting a loan with them... 2-2021

As a customer for three years I have been greatly disappointed in all aspects of their business. From terrible customer service to outrageous fees this bank is only out to nickel-and-dime you. A perfect example is it takes two weeks to replace a debit card. To expedite that process it's a $25 charge.

I've had Banner Bank as my regular checking account for over 6 years. I'd had some issues in the past with double charges, but nothing to the extent that I'd want to leave until this global pandemic started. Dealing with living off of unemployment is difficult enough, but when it comes to trying to pay your bills with a bank that doesn't keep an up-to-date record of what is in your account it makes it all that more difficult. I have had numerous insufficient funds fees charged to me as well as payment returned for bills that are normally paid on time, because Banner Bank does not keep an accurate record of what is in your account at any given time. Meaning you cannot accurately see what payments have already been taken out when you go to use your debit card. On more than one occasion I have checked my balance to show I had enough for a purchase and within 15 minutes gone to use my debit card and had it declined because Banner Bank finally updated my account balance. 100% would not recommend Banner Bank.

Recently I came across a non ATM fee on my account. Typically they are always refunded. Well they now limit you up to 4 a month. Being that where I live there are no Banner Banks I do my banking via on line or writing checks. When I called to request the refunds the actual verbiage I received was “being that it was not a Banner Bank error the fees will not be refunded”. I have been a long time client with a good track record where is your empathy Banner Bank? Perhaps it’s time to find a local bank.

If you're looking to do banking anywhere in the MFN united states, I would recommend using a credit union instead of any lousy bank like Banners. Especially in some punk infested, low life, loser town like florence, oregoon. You're much better off going to someone who gives a shit!

I came for the ATM refunds, but left because, at night, you simply cannot get an accurate account of your balances or transactions because of 'nightly processing'.
I experienced multiple frustrations, including overdrafts, because their website/phone/card-handling vendor isn't able to, ya know, provide accurate information about your account at night.
I raised this issue and was met with denial and arrogance (from a VP, no less), as well as a refusal to reverse an OD fee arising from the confusion caused by their completely-wrong-at-night online banking vendor.
I expect a bank to always have an accurate answer to "How much money is in my account" regardless of the time of day. Banner Bank cannot do this at present
