Banner Bank has not complied with executor requests for information. Very suspicious activity on my parents' accounts. Banner Bank manager in North Bend, OR, has obstructed, delayed, and denied these records to the executor of their probate. Multiple requests now possibly involve lawyer involvement. Stay tuned for the story in the local paper.

Have been a customer for many years. I needed to make a deposit. As an old guy that suffers with old guy ailments, I needed to empty my bladder (I originally used the medical term as I am a nurse but banner bank would not let me post this as they concider the term "profane") with some urgency. I told the teller that I needed to make a deposit, but first I needed to use the restroom. She stated that they had no public restrooms and that I would have to go somewhere else. I explained that I was a customer and had to go urgently. She stated that it was company policy and that there were no exceptions. The manager backed her up. I ended up (the profane word) in my pants after leaving the bank. This bank has shown a diservice to their customers and does not deserve business to those they supposedly serve. I will be transferring my business elsewhere. (I had made that statement to the teller who informed me that this was my prerogative and couldn't care less

Recently, I made a deposit into my checking account from a credit union. I was given the availability date of when the funds could be released to me. The day before the funds were supposed to be released, my bank account was locked, my bank cards were inactive, and I was informed that the fraud department was involved. Apparently, an employee of the Edmonds branch decided to flag my account for fraudulent activity and sent it to the fraud department. Now, I can't pay my bills, which I am sure will result in extra charges to restore services that will be interrupted during this lock. I have deposited out-of-state checks and cashier's checks before without any issues. After the lock has been lifted, I will be looking at opening an account with a credit union and advising others not to open an account with Banner Bank.

Banner bank was always amazing to me it was sad that a minor misunderstanding from the assistant manager Vince at the Rialto, CA location that started with freezing my bank account over a mobile deposit and telling me to come to the branch where he proceeded to raise his voice and scold me for not coming into the branch vs using mobile deposit like I was some child. I told him on the phone and to his face when I got there that I called and asked and everything was approved. Where in your TOS or policy does it say that I have to do what you’re asking. It does not obviously he said it would have been a professional curtesy and that I should have know to come in and then asked how old I was at which point he said “you’re old enough to know these things”. It was at this time Vince began to walk up to me and almost get nose to nose with me like he wanted to fight. It was the most uncomfortable and unprofessional treatment I had ever seen at a bank shortly followed by the branch deciding to no longer provide banking services for me. If it was not for Vince and that whole incident, I would have given banner a 5 star review and still have my account because everyone else along with their exceptional customer service team deserved it.

I've been a customer of Banner Bank since 2013. The staff in the branches are typically very personal and helpful. The debit and credit card side of their business is another story. I suspect they outsource those portions of their business to a third party because every time I try to get help I end up conversing with someone in India. Several years ago my purse was stolen on a Friday evening. I called immediately to freeze my debit and credit card, but they're closed evenings and weekends. I was on the phone for more than 2 hours trying to find an emergency number for someone who worked for the bank to help me. The entire time I'm watching my checking account be drained of all my money by the thief. It was traumatizing and Banner Bank didn't offer any help until the following Monday and they didn't credit my account until I filed and received approval of my fraud claim. A big bank would never show such disregard for a customer's money. Fast forward to current, Lean Start (Keto) ran a large charge through my debit card. They're rated FFF by the BBB and noted on hundreds of Google posts as involved in credit card fraud and fake supplements. I never interacted with Lean Start and immediately disputed the fraudulent charge. The address used for the card was wrong and they never had contact with me. Yet, close to 90 days later I get a letter from the Banner Bank fraud department that they ruled in Lean Start's favor. Banner Bank is incompetent and do tremendous harm to their customers. By allowing fraudulent charges to go through they are de facto accomplices. Hard earned money is not safe left in their institution.

As a customer for three years I have been greatly disappointed in all aspects of their business. From terrible customer service to outrageous fees this bank is only out to nickel-and-dime you. A perfect example is it takes two weeks to replace a debit card. To expedite that process it's a $25 charge.

I've had Banner Bank as my regular checking account for over 6 years. I'd had some issues in the past with double charges, but nothing to the extent that I'd want to leave until this global pandemic started. Dealing with living off of unemployment is difficult enough, but when it comes to trying to pay your bills with a bank that doesn't keep an up-to-date record of what is in your account it makes it all that more difficult. I have had numerous insufficient funds fees charged to me as well as payment returned for bills that are normally paid on time, because Banner Bank does not keep an accurate record of what is in your account at any given time. Meaning you cannot accurately see what payments have already been taken out when you go to use your debit card. On more than one occasion I have checked my balance to show I had enough for a purchase and within 15 minutes gone to use my debit card and had it declined because Banner Bank finally updated my account balance. 100% would not recommend Banner Bank.

Recently I came across a non ATM fee on my account. Typically they are always refunded. Well they now limit you up to 4 a month. Being that where I live there are no Banner Banks I do my banking via on line or writing checks. When I called to request the refunds the actual verbiage I received was “being that it was not a Banner Bank error the fees will not be refunded”. I have been a long time client with a good track record where is your empathy Banner Bank? Perhaps it’s time to find a local bank.
