Hiscox Insurance

Honestly Most of the people I talk to there are so rude, but Andre takes the cake. He answered the phone already In a bad mood and took it out on me (a happy person calling for new quotes on a small business I’ve started) he would loudly talk over me and just give rude responses. He was on speaker phone in the car and I thought my husband was going to flip out on him. I remained calm and finished the phone call with positivity but I’m going to be looking for new business insurance as soon as I get home.

This company by far is the worst company for business coverage. Hiscox took me as a client for my home inspection business. I have been doing home inspections since 2006. Never had an issue or a claim. I had a client that felt I missed something and wanted me to file a claim with my insurance. So I went ahead and filed the claim even though I didn't feel I was at fault. I find out that Hiscox doesn't cover home inspection real estate transactions. Interesting to know when 100% of my transactions are real estate transactions. Since my claim and me complaining about the coverage, Hiscox has now changed their coverage to "code inspections". This company is a joke.

Non-responsive, they do not honor policy terms written in the Deck Page and customer service is horrible. I just cancelled my policy after wasting money on a policy for six years. I reported Hiscox to the Illinois Department of Insurance through legal counsel and hope issues reported by my company and many other Hiscox Policy holders are addressed.
