The sales team is very kind and eager to help you choose a policy. Once they receive your payment, the level of service declines. If you have a question, you must text them as speaking to a person directly is not an option. Moreover, they represent insurers that are not up to par. It has been 71 days since we informed Brightway to cancel our policy after we found a superior company with better coverage, rates, and ratings on our own. Brightway continues to support the insurer that has taken at least 71 days to refund our unused premium. This is a clear violation of the Florida Administrative Code 69O-167.001, which stipulates that "return premium must be refunded to the policyholder within 15 working days after the cancellation date." I am relieved that we never had to file a real claim with them.

Buyer beware! After many calls/texts to my Brightway agent, he STILL hasn't canceled my policy on a home I no longer own. So I am now paying for two properties. The communication is HORRIBLE! I can only imagine how hard it would be to file a claim without ever getting to speak with an agent. The first contact was on 12/5; it's the middle of February now! Grrrr. BUYER BEWARE! RED FLAG.

I had them for home and auto and highly advise you not to ever use the Holiday, FL, Brightway Insurance Company. You can do your job in notifying them of changes, where they do not actually inform the insurance agency. Then you get double-billed by the new and old insurance, and they cannot apologize or refund your money expediently. It's their mistake, and you have to wait 7-10 days for your own money that you desperately need due to their error. And they don't care; Steve, the owner, can't even bother to call you despite three requests. Shawn, who works there, responded that i can't tell Steve when to come in or leave, or when to call someone. Wow!
I also repeatedly asked them to find me cheaper insurance, and I had to find it on my own! Why use an agency when they make mistakes and don’t fix them, and can't do the minimum an agency does to find you better insurance.
Skip this agency and do the work yourself!

I opened up a Policy with Chyrstie Castillo at Brightway when I first bought my house in FL. in 2013. She was very professional & attentive & lovely to work with. I just went through Hurricane Ian & was very pleased with both of the insurance adjusters that were sent out for hurricane & flood insurance. They were very good to me & covered what was on my policies. I am very happy with Brightway & would highly recommend them!! Thank you Chyrstie & Brightway!!

Had brightway on a commercial warehouse for years...I decided to sell the property and when it came time to refund me my money I paid for insurance my refund was hundreds of dollars less than what was told I would be recieving...after many many phone calls I have given up...my time is worth more but they will not get a chance on any of my other properties...

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with acquiring insurance for my home and flood. The agent dropped the ball and was rude and difficult to deal with when I was inquiring about the problem. If I could leave negative stars it would be 5!

Bought a homeowners policy from Brightway. I filed a claim(first time) in October. After several months and not hearing anything I called. I was told since I filed a claim they could not talk to me. I called whom they told me to. They said we are only a third party and do not know anything. We will tell Lloyd's of London who wrote the policy. And they told me I couldn't talk to anyone at LLoyd's of London. This went on for 3 months. How can you sell an insurance policy and not service it? The policy was way over priced-$2000. Brightway also lied to me when they sold the policy. If this is who you want to do business with-GOOD LUCK! THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER! And I have been buying insurance for over 30 years.

Horrible customer service. They dropped me from my policy once due to an error on their part, and never even told me. The local agent has given me wrong information about my policy several times. If you call the 800 number there's always a long wait, they give wrong information, and one guy takes about 15 minutes to answer a simple question - I always end up with him when I call. I would never use this broker again.

I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH BRIGHTWAY INS EVER AGAIN. When I got a letter from the DMV telling me that my registration was suspended due to not having insurance, I was only half as angry as when they put this mess on my credit report. My agent at Brightway didn't suggest that I needed to do anything to get on auto-pay. I felt she had told me that I was on auto-pay. They never called to tell me that I was past due. Instead they sent snail mail and an email. They wanted me to email them my credit card number which is against PCI compliance. When I said I wasn't comfortable with that, she said she would take it over the phone, she then wrote my card number down and called it into somewhere. In short their operations were far below any reasonable standard.

Brightway is extremely unorganised and unprofessional. It took months to get a name removed from my renters policy because they claimed they didnt recieve the correct info after it was send FIVE times. After mulitple emails and phone conversations my address was still wrong. I paid my renters insurance in full and recieved another bill months later telling me to pay $8 or my coverage would be dropped and the reps couldnt explain what the fee was for or why it occured months after my policy was paid in full for the year. The customer service reps i reached on the phone were like children trying to run a buisness, giving me outrageous fees for paying with my debit card over the phone only to apologize and try to correct the fees. I would never, EVER buy another policy from this company. Be ware.

Brightway Insurance, Home Owners that is, is treating you in a very fraudulent way. I had one actual claim after the hurricane in 2017 and they paid for the damages. But - and here you need to be very careful - they also report you as having additional claims when you just have questions about your home owners Insurance. They have reported us somewhere that we had 3 claims which is untrue, they did not pay anything out! They will not remove the 2 inquiries, which were not claims! This is preventing us now from getting a good rate on Renter Insurance. Beware of these folks. We cannot recommend them.

This insurance company is good at best. I would not recommend it for a younger driver as the rates are way higher than they need to be. It took awhile for the application to go through and to set up a policy. The customer service I had was okay but failed to answer some of my questions when I had a few minor problems with my policy. Like I said this is an okay insurance company that is good at best but I would shop around a bit before signing up for a policy through them.

Brightway Insurance Inc. was one of the first companies that I had automobile insurance with. The application process was simple and quick. Despite being young and owning a sports car, I found their rates to be very competitive. Their representatives were knowledgeable and friendly. I never had any issues with them, besides random rate increases. They said that they were based on accidents in my zip code, but I found it unfair since I was not involved in any accidents or had any tickets. I ended up going to another insurance company when I moved, but I would highly consider them again if I ever ended up in the area they provide insurance to.
