Unable to leave negative stars - so they get 1 they do not deserve. We have had two issues: Last fall I backed our Lexus into a brick wall - the first time ever in 40-years, we ended up taking the Lexus to Karl Malone Toyota - a Bear River approved location - the first words out of my mouth to all I spoke to if you cannot make this car look like it did before damage - DO NOT TOUCH this car. We are the most particular of owners. The car has been back three or four times - they replaced the back quarter panel, the back door and back hatch on RX450h in terrible alignment and the number has been loose three times. The Terrible part is they over-sprayed the back door and it looks like it was painted at a discount body shop despite their additional work. In an email Ellen told me that was the best work they could do. Imagine that, in writing. I called Luis the Adjustor, he called them, called me back letting me know they had to fix it - they come with a 100% customer guaranty that means nothing, or I had to convince them to pay another shop to correct the bad paint. As if this will ever happen. You can literally see waves in the paint from 10 feet away on a car that was gorgeous. The week before I backed into the wall someone at work put a tiny ding in door, Karl Malone said no problem - we will fix that. It is now a much bigger flaw in door than the original tiny ding. Bear River refused to do anything and Karl Malone says it’s best they can do. How is that for 100% customer service. On our second Lexus a 2016 ES300h - also showroom condition, a rock broke windshield and Bear River insists they will not cover an OEM windshield, this car takes 3-hours to calibrate everything in the windshield and they refuse to replace with a like-kind windshield - aftermarket is NOT same quality. Beware. After I backed the RX into the brick wall I had them put a Ryder on our policy that requires ONLY Lexus parts. You now see how well that worked out! Stacey has been amazing - our own agent cannot be bothered to return calls or get anything right. I cannot imagine someone having serious issues after what we have gone through on these things. Open to suggestions on what to do next.
Bear River Mutual Insurance is horrible for auto insurance. I canceled the policy on the car I traded in. Tried to get back with them for a vehicle I bought a short time later and wouldn't let me. They have this holier than thou attitude, then they send you this asinine paper to vote for their Board of Directors. Serious. Run from Bear River Mutual.
This is going to sound like another angry guy on the internet and probably go unnoticed but these guys are crooks. We had auto insurance with them and set up monthly payments. Everything was great until they forgot to take the deposit. No big deal, things happen. Then we got a letter saying we were set up for tri-payments (meaning not monthly, just 3 lump sums). So we called and they said it was fixed. Fast-forward to 3 weeks before Christmas and suddenly my checking account is in the negative... by a LOT. Which is unsettling because my wife and I are quite responsible about not running out of money but having just moved and well it being the luck of our year Covid 2020, we didn't have a savings built up again yet. So I moved any remaining money we had to make sure we weren't in the negative and contacted them immediately expecting to get some form of results. I was told a check could be sent in the mail 14 from that time. I have other bills to pay, food to put on the table and having just lost my whole last 2 paychecks I didn't foresee the next one providing food either. I got in contact with every living being that I could through them but all I got was, "I'm sorry it's just our system." Not something you tell a customer by the way because a system error started with a person error. As if that weren't enough they said, "we never took out your deposit, so we are going to do that now for an estimated 240$." WHAT!?! So I'm not only apparently made of money but am just supposed to be okay with that? Needless to say it is now Monday December 14th, after running on a goose chase, I have no gas money, no food money and other bills are still hitting the now again negative account and I just got a call from your friendly local Bear River. After working out that I could pick up a refund check this morning at 9:30 I get a call at 8:30 saying "due to weekend crew we don't have your check yet." So again the blame goes somewhere else and I am left without food, a way to pay my bills and now Christmas is ruined. I have work at 2 and now walk because I saved the last bit of gas to make the 30min trip out to their office to pick up this check. This has been hell and I have never dealt with such dishonesty or immortality when it comes to stepping on the little guy who is just trying to get back up from the year 2020 and have even a semblance of a small Christmas for his family. DO NOT USE BEAR RIVER. These are not freak accidents, they will happen again and next time it could be you. So pay attention, they will lie to your face and put everything off till it's too late. Thanks Bear River, for making my family starve and stress over your negligence and mistakes. I will never forget this.
