First of all, I love the staff at Farm Bureau, but their insurance premiums are ridiculous. I had two policies: one for car liability and the other for full coverage. I dropped the car with liability and now just have one vehicle on insurance, but my policy goes up. I'd rather pay more for insurance to keep them, but they keep going up. People are struggling now, and you all just want money. The stupid membership fee is crazy—another money grab. But one thing I can give them is they have good staff at Rogersville, TN. That's all I can say good about them. I'm looking around to compare companies. Thank you.

A man backed into my car in October 2024. It's January 2025, and I haven't heard anything from Farm Bureau. I've called several times, but no one will return my calls. It's like Farm Bureau has ghosted me. I give them 0 stars for poor customer service.

Farm Bureau in Athens TN is the worst. Had Home insurance with them for 6 years. My wife just passed away and they canceled my insurance. Discussing the the reason why and my dismay with them and the agent agent hangs up on me. The worst, stay away from Farm Bureau!

30+ years with Farm Bureau. Pipe water leak in basement flooding two rooms. Claim adjuster never returned any calls. Finally caught him in the office. No communication. Came out two weeks after being notified of the claim. Walked into the house, looked around, took pictures, walked out, and there was no communication.

I'm 51 years old. Tennessee Farm Bureau is the only insurance company I've ever used, and my parents were lifelong customers. I've had the unfortunate experience of filing two vehicle claims with them over the past year. The service is absolutely horrible. Each time I've made dozens of calls, often with no callback whatsoever. Then the claim is passed along to another representative, which I have to find out by calling until I finally get a person on the phone. Then I start over with the next phone number. It's two days later, I've been on the phone at least 6 times, and still can't get a rental car set up. They are terrible. Time to get quotes for my 7 vehicles and home with another company.

Medicare Supplement Insurance from the Mt. Carmel office. I was given a rate sheet and told the rate would stay the same for four years. That is what sold me on Farm Bureau. When I called another agent from whom I had gotten a quote to let him know I decided to go with Farm Bureau, he said his client was told the same thing, and it went up within 4 months. Well, mine went up in just two short months to the rate I'd be paying at age 71—now at 62. Don't let them deceive you with the rate chart. It is their modus operandi to sway you. They knew two months ago this hike was coming. Deceitful. Beware.

HORRIBLE SERVICE - I had an accident in my truck. I was assigned Erica Davis - she absolutely does not care about your needs or about communication. Erica does not answer the phone and sends texts only when she feels like it. I was told I was not a priority and that she had other claims to work on. She treated the mechanic poorly - rude and disrespectful. Her manager Bethany is no better. I called Rodney at the Greenbrier office and he doesn't answer calls nor does he return them. Definitely the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. I am finding a new company for my home and vehicle insurance!

I recently was involved in a wreck. It was determined it was not my fault. The adjuster doesn't seem to care about my vehicle. I have had to call to find out any information. It is going to take longer than 30 days to fix, but he will not extend my rental. He honestly seems to be more on the side of the person that caused the wreck. I will definitely be looking at other companies once this is done.

Have been a Farm Bureau customer for many years. We have all our insurance with them: 1 home, 6 auto's, life, umbrella. FBITN is not the company it once was. Avoid this company as they do not respond in a timely manner and low-ball claims. If you have roof issues you might as well save yourself some time and just pay out of pocket instead of wasting time waiting for their help. Would not recommend Farm Bureau to anyone.

Very very low service on a homeowners claim. Worst service I have ever received from an insurance company. Took weeks to come out to take pictures. No response to e-mails or phone calls. Adjuster's mailbox full for weeks on end so not able to leave a message. Rude personnel (even supervision). Not customer oriented at all. Did not want to explain what was going on with the claim. I say a minus 5 would be a better rating for them. Very small payout on claim.

Very bad experience. Neighbors have diseased trees that are infested with Asian Wooly Aphids. This was confirmed by a licensed Arborist as well as an entomologist. These trees have caused thousands of dollars in property damage. Per the Arborist, cutting the canopy of branches over my property would further compromise the tree & it will fall. The adjuster came out and said, "Get a survey, you're responsible for taking care of your own property." Actually, diseased and dying trees which do not belong to me are not my responsibility. Read your policy very closely. It never mentions my problem as not covered. However, reading through the policy should give anyone the knowledge they need to determine that they do NOT cover very much at all. Beware of all insurance companies as they are only in business to make money, not to help the customer. That being said, do your homework before getting involved with Farm Bureau.

A storm hit us in March of 2023 and did about 55,000$ in damage. Got a very detailed insurance estimate that covered everything. The check was a little over 11,000$. In other words, they covered 20% and the rest was on us. We've spent more than that over the years on premiums.

Just go with "The General" & save yourself the hassle, oh & the ripoff money too. These people should be illegal. Expect better AI customer assistance that is actually more empathetic & intelligent. Can't say enough bad things about these people after 10+ years of being scammed by them.

This review concerns Farm Bureau Health Insurance. Good until you have to speak with customer service. Absolutely awful experience with an Indian call center, customer service seems to be outsourced and they do not care one iota about any of your problems and instead try to transfer you back to their phone bot. Just a comedically horrible experience being transferred to and from a human because my card wouldn’t activate. My word.

This insurance company cheats anyone that has had an accident with their clients, we were in an accident with their client in Sept 2019 and they paid off on our vehicle (not what it was worth) but when it came to pain and suffering the agent was a smarta** about paying for pain and suffering I am 68 and my husband is 73 the trk was a F250 and it was TOTALED but because we did not go to the Dr apparently they know they can screw you over never mind the fact that we refused a tow from them and refused a rental and we did not think we were hurt badly but was bruised and sore for two weeks after and that was not even worth $500 ea from them people GO TO DR and make them pay you!!
