Fifth Third Bank owns Dividend Financial, a solar finance company. When I bought my home, I assumed the solar finance loan from the previous owner. The process was bumpy, but I was able to secure it and purchase my home. Now I'm trying to sell my home, and Dividend Financial is saying they cannot transfer the loan again. This doesn't appear anywhere in my paperwork. They are costing me a full asking price sale of my home. I would strongly recommend not using this company.

"I only gave them one star because zero was not an option. Customer service is a joke, the worst I have ever dealt with. I financed solar panels with this company in 2023. I put my home on the market in March 2024, and it went under contract in early April 2024. On April 22, 2024, a lien was put on my home by this company without any notice to me; this is a shady business practice. Now we are two days away from closing on this house, and I cannot even get a person on the phone who can help me start the transfer process so we can close on schedule. I am taking the solar panels with me, but they have to "approve" it, which they say will take up to five business days to process. But first, I need to send an email and wait for someone to send me the form I need to fill out, which could take another 48 hours just to receive the form. This company has no sense of ethical business practices or customer service, from my experience. I have never missed or been late on a payment, but it doesn't matter because they don't care about their customers.
