Just like most poor companies, they will just lead you on as much as possible to get your business. It took way too long just to process my information to refinance to pay for my transmission. I could have gotten a loan somewhere else much faster and already had my truck back. Just a bunch of unnecessary steps to slow the process down and not good customer service to make up for the terrible processing times.

Employees are poorly trained. Someone who cares about the Fairfield branch needs to step up and get people in there who know what they are doing. The last mistake the teller made with my account may finally cause me to leave. Your canned response, acting as if you care, is sad. Talk is cheap. I want to say a real person called me today and addressed all my concerns. Also, I did not mention that April went above and beyond helping me resolve my issues. So, in all fairness, I have changed my rating.

Horrible customer service. I have been very ill and in the hospital for months. I almost lost my life, and I conveyed that to them. I called to inform them that I am finally home and I am waiting for my health insurance to approve my long-term disability so I can make my account current. They did not care and simply told me to pay, or they would take legal action. I couldn't answer the phone from my hospital bed in the ICU.

I missed a payment of $4.00 on a credit card I use only once or twice a year. Since I use it so infrequently, I forgot the charge was there and missed the payment. General Electric Credit Union reported me to all three credit bureaus, and my credit score dropped 110 points over this $4.00 charge. When I reached out to ask for help, they refused and justified their actions. They could have at least given me a call, text, or warning, which they did not. I have been a member for over 40 years and have never had a late payment. I also sent this information to every member on the board, and not one person reached out or offered to help.

GE Credit Union continues to provide poor customer service. I had a fraud issue, and both my wife's card and mine were disabled due to the issue. They said the cards would take 10 days or so to get to us, but they could overnight them for a fee. She also said that the manager could waive the fee; however, the manager stated that this privilege had been overused and they would not waive the fee.
The privilege may have been overused by other members, but we had never even had that option offered. Here, both my wife and I sit without access via debit cards to our account for 10 days.

My card was canceled due to fraud, and it took ten days for the replacement card to arrive by mail as they would not handle it at my bank. Upon arrival, the card did not work! I spent at least an hour on the phone on hold without any helpful results. I would avoid this bank and refrain from providing them with your money and time.

Incredibly cruel—they refused to honor checks written by me, her daughter, on my mother's account while she was hospitalized and unable to write, despite my having her Durable Power of Attorney. Now that she has passed, even though the checks predate her death and they are in possession of a copy of the DPA, the credit union refuses to honor the checks written before her death.

I have had a GE Signature Credit Card for a few years, and it is by far the most difficult one to use. The alerts system is simply a failure. First, they sent me a transaction alert without telling me the amount; then they upgraded their system one day, and this time, the alert told me the amount but did not tell me where the charge was coming from. I have never had this problem with any other credit cards that I have. I recently changed my phone number, and now I am not able to receive any alerts. GE does not seem to be helpful as they told me my phone number is correct in their system, and they don't know what is going on after I have been waiting on the phone for hours. My other credit cards have zero issues with my phone number change. I am considering canceling this card as I can't have a credit card that doesn't send me transaction alerts!

Very unhappy with GE. I have never been able to use the automated services when I need to call them. Reaching a human is practically a miracle. My credit card had fraudulent activity, so they froze the account and sent me a new card. It took less than two weeks, but I was okay because I have a debit card. Then the debit card had fraudulent activity. I had to freeze it and have waited for three weeks for a replacement. I still don't have one. They will only mail it. Since it might be lost, now they are sending me another one, but I will have to wait another ten business days. They won't do anything to help me. I can't get one at a branch. I can pay $50 for them to send it expedited.
They are hard to reach. Getting a human on the phone during off-hours is nearly impossible. They do not care for my business. They won't do anything to correct this situation. Don't go there. Find a real bank. I'm already looking.

We have an auto loan through GE Credit Union and we just moved to another state. They are charging us $50 to release a title to our local vehicle registration office so that we can get our vehicle registered in our new state. This title is useless to me, I can't use it for anything other than registering my vehicle and I do not even get the title, yet I have to pay $50. I will make sure when I purchase vehicles in the future that my credit app does not get submitted to GE Credit Union.

Worst company ever dealt with. Downloaded their app to make payments and see balances but be a couple days late and these idiots turn your app off and its a big headache to get it turned back on. The app is the only way I make payments and these idiots turn it off. Dont make much sense why you would block the only way someone pays you. Would not recommend to worst enemy. Hate this company.
