GeoVista Federal Credit Union

Geovista Credit Union Bank is not a good bank, with impolite individuals working for them. This bank should close all its branches. They do not offer help or answer the phone.

I've been banking with this bank for years. I am on two of my older sons' accounts from when they were in high school as well. My now 16-year-old has gotten himself a part-time job and received his paycheck for a whopping $126.00. Going through a death in the family, I told him I would give him the cash and just deposit that in my account. I went into the bank, and they told me that he would have to open up an account with me on it in order to do so. He's a minor and plays all types of sports. We have no availability to come to the bank to even open one considering they are only open Monday through Friday. I'm just trying to deposit it, not cash it. I called the main branch, and they told me that if a teller does that, it's usually only a courtesy. So I guess when you bank with them for years with no issues, overdrafts, or anything, I'm not a valued member enough to receive a courtesy.

Excellent company and friendly employees; willing to help others that are not by other institutions. Hope to do business with them in the future.

Outdated Bank. Tried to fix issues with wiring money, Customer support named Lisa was very rude. This is the bank for you if you want to open an account in the 90's.

I've had checking account with a Visa debit card with Geo Vista for almost 3 years. Yesterday Thanksgiving night I went to Walmart for black Friday and to my surprise my debit card was rejected. So today I find out these joker's of an finical institution froze my card over 3 transactions made using PayPal for a total not over $16.00. They never once tried to call me and verify the charges. All thou they claimed they did. I have an iPhone with a very large call history , not one call not one Message left! So of course my purchases where left to what I had in cash on me. Not the money I had in my account intended for Christmas shopping. Im on a limited income and this really hurt me. I did not receive an apology from them but I did get a very rude woman from their " fraud protection" who implied I was lieing that I didn't receive calls from them yesterday! So to say the least i will now be very seriously looking for another bank. This review is for people to be aware of their practice to freeze your debit card for no reason and not contact you. Shame on them! Worst experience ever with a bank! Pissed off customer

Really goos bank kove getting my check earlier than most but wish they would come out with a pay calendar it would make it easier to tell when my check should hit my account thank you but othwr than that its a great bank

I have been banking with geovista in Richmond hill, ga. They have taught me the importance of my future for my family without even knowing they do so. All employees treat you as if you were family. I had never realized the importanace of keeping my account and seeing how I care about my balance good or bad makes me know this is the bank for me. I feel honored to be apart of the geovista bank and hope to do many more years with them. I applied for a loan in 2007 for a vehicle. Being my first major loan I was very worried. The staff at GeoVista (then Fort Stewart Georgia Federal Credit Union) were incredibly professional and handled all of my worries with grace. They were very straight forward with what documentation would be required so that I would be fully prepared when I came in to sign my paperwork. When I showed up to go over the terms of the loan they were incredibly straight forward with the terms including rates, payoff schedule and amortization. I can't say enough about how great the customer service at GeoVista is and plan to continue banking with them for the foreseeable future!

We use GeoVista Federal Credit Union because my husband is in the military and we move around a lot. Our main credit union is back in our home state but GeoVista makes it very easy to connect the two credit unions together. The service is always fast, efficient and very friendly. We mostly use them to deposit and withdraw from our checking and they make that easy with very accessible ATM’s around town and the surrounding areas as well. What is also great about GeoVista is that we have family that comes and visits us from time to time and the credit union they use is not in the state we live in. GeoVista is a credit affiliated credit union and they can use them without having a checking account to access their checking account to withdraw money from as well with no fees involved.

I used to enjoy the friendliness of GeoVista until they charged me a 58 dollar fee for an expense that was not my fault. I joined GeoVista three years ago because I felt that a Credit Union would treat me better than a large bank. They were fine until this past summer. I was charged a 58 dollar fee unfairly, and when I went to contest the fee at their location, they would not listen to what I had to say. They were actually quite rude with their accusations and said there was nothing that they could do. I knew that this was a lie and that they could waive the fee, but they treated me like I was nothing. They did not show me any respect that I grew accustomed to at this Credit Union. Who knows, maybe I talked to the woman when she was having a bad day, but it did really hurt my view on GeoVista.

I was in need of a car loan almost a year ago and I did not want to use Wells Fargo, my regular bank, because I heard that credit unions offered better interest rates. I found this to be true of GeoVista credit union. The application process was very extensive and thorough. It took forever to get every I dotted and every t crossed but in the end it was well worth it. That is the biggest con I can think of about GeoVista credit union. Customer service is is outstanding. you can always talk to a real person on the phone without a long wait. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable and seem to be trustworthy. I am thankful for the car loan but I do wish they would speed the application process up a lot. It was almost like they wanted my entire social, educational and financial life! Overall, I recommend.
