why the state does make mistakes after 31 years in business it only the states fault 1in a 5000.
Customer service is non-existant. Don't bother to call them they won't help you.
Absolutely disgusting credit union. Kensi is a complete liar. They locked me out of my auto loan account. They blocked me from being able to pay. Refused to provide me with my account number. Samantha refused to help with submitting required documents to the gap insurance department. Goldenwest Credit Union has been dishonest from beginning to end.
Supplied all the items requested to support exactly what I told them. Then they said they needed my wife's info and income. Supplied that. Now a week later wanted my tax returns that were exactly as I stated at the beginning. Then a few days later said I was denied. Good thing I didn't need a CC. I wouldn't recommend this credit union to my worst enemy. Total waist of time.
At a bare minimum, our original GWCU representative should have replied to emails and the voicemail. All we needed was to know that the form had been received and that he thought there was a signature error and we would be receiving a mailed form. It's not only unprofessional, but lacking in common courtesy.
If company policy is stringent enough to require a primary account holder's signature on a specific line, the line should be labeled as such. I had no issues working with Goldenwest for the several years I was in Utah, but have had nothing but problem after problem and frustration after frustration trying to work with them since moving. We would like to stick with GWCU since we had good experiences while in Utah, but repeated issues like those encountered in the most recent experience above have made us seriously consider banking with a different institution.
Good customer services and the other day when we were there for the account and the new one is good to go payment is paying attention to pay the bills and money's to pay the bill and account number please.
At the beginning of January, I received a call from Bonneville Collections Agency notifying me that I had debts that-- if not paid-- would affect my credit. Alarmed, I called to get more information and was told I had a negative balance on my debit card. After checking my account, I realized I accidentally overcharged my card at a gas station for $17.13 and $16.45. At the time, I knew I didn't have any money on my account, and never meant to use that card. In addition, Goldenwest applied a "courtesy charge" that allowed my transaction to go through but tacked on an additional $22 for each transaction-- more than the original charge price would have been. This was a simple mistake and should have been easy to fix had I known about it. Unfortunately, since I had accidentally used the wrong card, and forgotten about the transaction I didn't realize what I had done.
I would have appreciated any form of communication from Goldenwest before being sent to collections. When I got the call from Bonneville, I was confused and surprised to hear that I had debt outstanding. I had not received any email, phone call, voicemail, or letter notifying me of what happened until I was sent to collections.
After visiting the branch, I was informed that the "courtesy charge" could have been waved, but again, there was nothing they could do because I didn't come in sooner. This misunderstanding could have been fixed and set right with a simple phone call, or letter to inform me of my mistake. Instead, I was charged $87.49 to close out my account three months later.
I appreciated the teller that helped me. She was very kind and knowledgeable about my situation, but she wasn't in a position to help me. Every other bank I've banked with has been very good at communicating and understanding different circumstances, and I was disappointed with the lack of customer service at Goldenwest. I have learned a valuable lesson and will not be in this situation the future.
