Daniel Arribas was our agent. This company is the worst. Their customer service might be on par with the DMV, but less competent.

Before closing on the house I was buying, my mortgage company put me in touch with Goosehead to find an alternative homeowner's insurance to the one I was setting up. Interestingly, Goosehead turned out to be more costly than the one I was already considering. After closing, I decided to switch both back. My new car insurance is small in comparison to GEICO. Phone calls can be tedious with Goosehead, depending on whether the agent is argumentative or not. They set me up with GEICO, which is a real pain to get through. You can't even change or cancel GEICO's policy on their website: when you go to the cancellation page, they have a little "Oh but if you go" box, misleadingly making you think you can cancel it when in fact you can't. You have to call them, but if you have Goosehead, they'll redirect you to them instead. It's insane.

I would not recommend Goosehead to anybody! Agents keep switching or leaving the organization, and no one informs you or assigns someone new to you. No one calls you back, and customer service gives you erroneous information. Very frustrated and angry because now I have no home insurance!

Don't walk, run from this agency. Check reviews on GH on review sites for validation. Customer service is non-existent. They claim to get you better rates because they represent many carriers, but that's just not true. I found a much better rate on home and auto in half the time via insurify.com.

Since I began working with Goosehead Insurance in Morehead City, NC, I've found them to be responsive and very productive. My annual home insurance premium was going up from $3800 to $4400 with a home value of $789k. I called a Goosehead Insurance Agent and after researching our requirements, they found a policy with American Modern (an A+ rated company) for $2900 annually using a home value of $918k. I had my Farm Bureau agent review the declarations page from American Modern, and he said he couldn't come close to that. He also stated it was a solid company and policy. I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but the savings are there, and review of American Modern/Goosehead paying claims has been positive as well.

Please do not under any circumstances use this company for your insurance. Our experience was with our first home. My wife and I purchased our first home as newlyweds and moved in late June 2025. By late September, we received a notice in the mail that they were dropping our home insurance. No reason was given, and when I personally called and sent an email within days of the letter, we received no response or callback.
We paid all of our bills on time and in full and never had a claim or issue with our home. It's now October 15th. We have already switched insurances to a more reputable company. Our experience was a complete absentee customer service. In hindsight, it's a good thing that we switched rather than have their insurance and have an actual reason to reach out to them for the support we literally pay for.
We signed up, paid everything on time and in full for our first home, were dropped for no reason we are made aware of, and all of it within five months of purchasing our first home. We personally don't consider them to be trustworthy or a reputable company. - Homeowners in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

I was with Goosehead for home insurance. I canceled my policy but decided to reinstate the policy. I called in to speak with an agent about handling this. He told me that he’d have to check with the underwriter. Apparently, this was ok to do however I would need to pay back the refund that had been issued. I ended a policy about 12 days before it was done and the policy that would start at the next cycle. I couldn’t understand why I would pay money for services I didn’t receive. When I attempted to ask why this money needed to be paid the agent became very unprofessional and frankly just rude. He stated, “Ma’am I want to remind you that you called us for services.” After asking to speak to a different agent he mouthed off some more and hung up in my face. I managed to get another agent and after she attempted to escalate the issue she relayed to me that her leader reviewed the call and didn’t find anything wrong with what was said. Needless to say I won’t be going to this company for business. Any company and their supervisors that think it’s ok to talk to paying customers this way doesn’t deserve my hard earned money. We as consumers have the right to know why we are being asked to make payments. Yes, I called in for services but, I won’t ever again. Goosehead is a forever no in my book.

Super unresponsive and dismissive when you need anything. However, if they need something from you, they contact you with calls and emails multiple times a day. Carol Kilpatrick has been a disappointment. I would not recommend this company as there are plenty of other companies out there that won't be a total rip-off, I can't even imagine if I actually needed to make a claim what they're attitude would be. Good riddance.

Do not use a Goosehead agent. They may have good reviews and be great, but their parent company is terrible. Customer service does not know how to do anything. You have to stay on the line with them, or they move on to the next call. Their chat service is fine, but unless you're taking screenshots, you have no record of anything they tell you. They can promise you the world, and it doesn't have to align with reality.
My agent is hard to reach. It's clear that all he does is handle the sales side of things, which is literally just getting me in the door. Everything else has taken too long and been too difficult. I have never had a more frustrating insurance experience than trying to make basic changes or ask basic questions through Goosehead.

Most certainly, this is the most corrupt and incompetent agency I have ever worked with. They promise and do not follow through, they leave drivers off the policy, they charge more than they quote, they increase charges and change companies without informing you. All these things happened to me, so I canceled the policy and they sent me a refund. Then, they skipped a month and started charging me again without permission; getting them to apologize and send a refund was an absolute chore. Don't even think about signing up with them.

This policy through Goosehead was not ordered by me, but by Alex of American Pacific Mortgage, a loan officer, just hours before I was to close on my house in Vail, AZ (April 2025). This policy was not needed because I had purchased insurance, and he was aware of it. He did this to make himself look better in the eyes of his supervisors because my ratios with the current insurance company were over the guidelines. However, by having two policies in effect, he failed to explain this to the other underwriting staff and actually increased my ratios by doing so.
Then, after I closed on my house, I received an email from Goosehead stating that they never received the payment, while the title company had the canceled check. I told them I neither needed nor wanted the policy and that I had a policy that was paid in full. I asked for a refund. They told me that since the title company issued the check, they had to refund the check to them.
I received a partial refund mailed to me from Goosehead. I inquired about the rest of the money and was told it was the agent's fee and to get with him. After explaining that he should obtain these agent fees from Alex the loan officer, as I have a policy and this policy had never been implemented, the Goosehead agent said he would give me the money. From that point until today, July 25th, 2025, I spent 2.5 hours (this week only) on the phone (mostly on hold) with apologies, which I might have accepted if the time frame was not what it is. I have heard multiple stories, experienced multiple escalations, and witnessed the blame game from everyone involved. Three times this week alone, I was assured of three more escalations regarding the remaining funds, which never went out previously and could not have been escalated because it wasn't until this week that they recognized their mistakes. As one person said to me today, "that I am not going to go away." Today, I was told that it "again" needed approval and that the department handling this isn't on a fast track, and I will maybe get the funds in two weeks.
I sent a message to the agent about today's call and expressed how relieved I was never to have activated a policy with Goosehead and that I am glad this was a refund and not a claim in process. So again, I am waiting for the funds I may get in August 2025.

Working with an insurance agent for the first time has proven to be more frustrating, expensive, and time-consuming than shopping for insurance on my own. My partner and I were switching insurance companies and policies for our house and cars. The initial experience was great. Rhys was easy to communicate with, and it sounded like we had made the right move. When we wanted to make these updates, I never received an email back. The excuse given was that he was on vacation, but there was no automated email to inform me of his absence, and supposedly there's an assistant who could also access these emails, which were left unanswered. Okay, that’s easy to overlook.
So, I booked an appointment through their website, and we made the switch to a combined car insurance plan. We received confirmation in an email that both our previous policies would be canceled, only to find out a month or two later that neither of them had been canceled. It added extra time waiting on hold and unnecessary frustration to a task that no one enjoys having to deal with. Not a single acknowledgment of this mistake or an apology was offered. I've asked twice now to speak with leadership or administration about this experience, and both times I was assured this would happen within about 24 hours and never received a call. I am kicking myself for agreeing to a one-time fee for this experience. Save yourself the hassle and find insurance on your own.

I insured my building at 150 W Main Street, Newcomerstown, OH 43832 through Goosehead Insurance with agent Mikel Compston on July 26, 2024, for a premium of $3,277. After selling the building on March 18, 2025, I requested a refund for the unused portion of the policy. Although I was informed that a refund check had been sent, I have not received it to date. Despite several email exchanges, the issue remains unresolved. This has been a very unprofessional experience, and I am disappointed by the lack of follow-through from the agent.

First, they gave me a quote for my insurance, but for the wrong house. When I pointed out that the quote had the wrong address, they just changed it and didn't even recalculate the home insurance for the new place. The agent refused to be flexible with my insurance and did not want to change any items that, in my opinion, he over insured. It was way more than I needed. I am definitely going with someone else.
